Growing potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) using the idle rice fields in Southern China and the Indo-Gangetic Plains of India in the winter season through the rice–potato rotation (RC) system could support future food security. However, the modulation capacity of the RC system on soilborne fungal pathogens is still unclear. In the current study, a pot experiment was designed and conducted to monitor the dynamics of soil fungal community composition between the potato monoculture (CC) system and the RC system, where the two systems were set with the same soil conditions: autoclaving with fertilization; autoclaving without fertilization; autoclave-free with fertilization; and autoclave-free without fertilization. Then, the uncultivated soil (CK) and root-zone soil samples of conditions under the two systems were collected, and then soil physiochemical properties and enzymatic activities were determined. Next, the high-variable region (V5–V7) of fungal 18S rRNA genes of the samples were amplified and sequenced through the PCR technique and the Illumina Miseq platform, respectively. Finally, the fungal species diversity and composition, as well as the relative abundance of fungal pathogens annotated against the Fungiuld database in soil samples, were also investigated. The results showed that the RC could significantly (p < 0.05) increase soil fungal species diversity and decrease the relative abundance of soil fungal pathogens, where the RC could suppress 23 soil fungal pathogens through cultivating the rice during the summer season and 93.75% of the remaining pathogens through winter-season cultivation. Seven-eighths of the conditions under RC have lower pathogenic MGIDI indices (6.38 to 7.82) than those of the CC (7.62 to 9.63). Notably, both rice cultivation and winter planting reduced the abundance of the pathogenic strain ASV24 under the Colletotrichum genus. The bipartite fungal network between the pathogens and the non-pathogens showed that the pathogenic members could be restricted through co-occurring with the non-pathogenic species and planting crops in the winter season. Finally, the redundancy analysis (RDA) indicated that soil pH, electronic conductivity, available phosphorus content, and various enzyme activities (cellulase, urease, sucrase, acid phosphatase, catalase, polyphenol oxidase) could be the indicators of soil fungal pathogens. 【Objective】Through the investigation of large-scale for fungi resources in Wenshan city, it is expected to explore the important economic value fungi in this area and understand the local new and unique resources. 【Method】Using the randomsample collection of the area 10 townships large fungi resources based on a two-year survey, the identification of specimens was mainly combined with morphology and molecular markers, and through the biodiversity of the traditional statistical methods in the area of species richness and diversity index, evenness index were analyzed.【Result】There were 116 species of macrofungi, which could be assigned to 71 genera, 30 families, 11 orders, 4 classes, 2 phyla. Ten of the macrofungi were endemic to China. According to the analysis of the utilization value of large fungi resources, there were 19 species of edible fungi among the macrofungi found in this survey, 20 species of medicinal fungi, 3 species of toadstool fungi and 55 species of wood-rot fungi in Wenshan city, some of them had good development prospects. The results of species accumulation curve analysis showed that the sampling was sufficient in this study. The results of diversity analysis showed that the variation trend of richness index (R) was P10>P9>P8>P1>P7>P4>P5>P2>P6>P2>P3. The variation trend of dominance index (D) was P9>P1>P7>P8>P3>P10>P2>P3>P4>P5. The species diversity index (H′) trend was P9>P7>P1>P8>P10>P6>P3>P4>P2>P5. The variation trend of uniformity index (E) was P9>P1>P8>P7>P6>P3>P2>P10>P4>P5. 【Conclusion】The macrofungi in Wenshan city had been systematically investigated, and the information of macrofungal resources in this area had been basically found out. The results of diversity analysis showed that the diversity of macrofungal species in this area was relatively high. This study provides a scientific basis for the protection, development, utilization and management of macrofungal resources in this area, and also greatly enriches the data and information of known macrofungal species in Yunnan province. Background: Rotational cropping practices can change the fungal structure and diversity of cropping soil, and these changes can promote crop development. However, only a few studies have explored the effects of rotational cropping of pineapple on soil fungal diversity. Methods: In this study, we investigated fungal diversity in continuous and rotational cropping soil of pineapple in Xuwen and Leizhou of China in summer and winter through high throughput sequencing of the fungal internal transcribed spacer region. Results: The diversity and richness of the fungal community were observed to be significantly increased after rotational cropping in Xuwen and Leizhou in summer, whereas no changes were observed in winter. Furthermore, Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Zygomcota, and Chytridiomycota were the dominant phyla, and Chaetomium, Penicillium, Fusarium, Trichoderma, and Cryptococcus were the dominant genera in the continuous and rotational cropping soil of pineapple, respectively, in both summer and winter. Chytridiomycota at phylum level and Gibberella at genus level were observed in rotational cropping soil; however, Ascomycota at the phylum level and Chaetomium at the genus level were the most abundant fungi, and their abundance dramatically decreased in continuous cropping soil. Redundancy analysis revealed that rotational cropping reduced the correlation between environmental parameters and the fungal community in winter. In addition, several fungal biomarkers were found in Xuwen in both continuous and rotational cropping soil samples, including Sporobolomyces, Aspergillus, Corynascus sp JHG 2007, and Corynascus at the genus level, Penicillium and fungal sp p1s11 at the species level in rotational cropping soil, and ales family Incertae sedis and Sordariomycetes at the class level in continuous cropping soil. These results revealed the changes in the structure and diversity of fungal community in continuous and rotational cropping practices for pineapple cultivation, which may be associated with crop yield and quality. Background: Mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) has a short growth period, long suitable sowing period, drought and barren tolerance, wide adaptability, nitrogen fixation and other characteristics. China is one of the original centers of mung bean, with a cultivation history of more than 2000 years. The current study aimed to assess the present mung bean germplasm in Liaoning Province scientifically, to provide a theoretical basis for collection, preservation, innovative and usage of mung bean germplasm resources. Methods: This study was conducted during 2011-2015 and 170 mung bean germplasm collections were selected from the germplasm resource bank of Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Forty six agronomic traits, including 34 quality traits and 12 quantitative traits, were observed and recorded. Data were comprehensively evaluated by multivariate analysis, i.e., diversity analysis, principal component analysis, correlation analysis, grey relational analysis and cluster analysis. Result: It was observed that mung bean resources have abundant diversity for exploitation in breeding programs. The traits pod-bearing capacity and vegetative growth capacity of plants were found closely related to yield. Germplasm lines with superior performance for yield characteristics, growth period, plant height and grain size were selected which included one high-yield and one early-matured and high-yield resource. Aims: This study evaluated millet germplasms in Liaoning Province to support the collection, preservation and innovation of millet germplasm resources., Methods: The study was conducted from 2018 to 2020, involved the selection of 105 millet germplasm resources from the Germplasm Bank of the Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences (LAAS), the observation and recording of 31 traits, and the application of multivariate analysis methods to assess phenotypic diversity., Results: From the diversity analysis and correlation analysis, it was found that the tested traits had abundant diversity and complex correlations among them. Principal component analysis (PCA) comprehensively analyzed all quantitative traits and extracted seven principal components. Grey relational analysis (GRA) highlighted the varied contributions of different traits to yield. Through systematic cluster analysis (SCA), the resources were categorized into six groups at Euclidean distance of 17.09. K-mean cluster analysis determined the distribution interval and central value of each trait, then identified resources with desirable traits., Conclusion: The results revealed resources that possess characteristics such as upthrow seedling leaves, more tillers and branches, larger and well-formed ears, and lodging resistance prefer to higher grain yield. It was also discovered that the subear internode length (SIL) could be an indicator for maturity selection. In order to reveal the distribution and population characteristics of endophytic fungi from Zanthoxylum nitidum and the antibacterial potential,this study performed molecular identification and analyzed the genetic diversity and antibacterial activity of endophytic fungi from Z. nitidum in Guangxi. Through culture and molecular identification,35 strains,belonging to 15 genera,12 families,10 orders,4 classes,and 2 phyla,were isolated from various tissues of Z. nitidum,of which Colletotrichum and Fusarium were the dominant genera,respectively accounting for 20% of total strains. The diversity of endophytic fungi was significantly different among roots,stems,and leaves,as manifested by the significantly higher Shannon index( H&apos;) in stems( 1. 678) than in roots( 0. 882 1) and leaves( 0. 515 4). The antimicrobial activity analysis showed that 14. 28% of endophytic fungi inhibited at least one indicator pathogen. Among them,Fusarium sp. ZN-34 and Fusarium sp. ZN-26 separately demonstrated the strongest inhibitory effect on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. In general,Fusarium sp. ZN-26 and Phialemoniopsis plurioloculosa ZN-35 were advantageous in suppressing the two bacteria owing to the broad spectrum and strong efficacy. In summary,Z. nitidum in Guangxi boasts rich endophytic fungi with the majority showing strong antibacterial activity,which can be used as candidates for the extraction and separation of basic antibacterial substances and the development of natural antibacterial agents.

The root-associated bacterial microbiota is closely related to life activities of land plants, and its composition is affected by geographic locations and plant genotypes. However, the influence of plant genotypes on root microbiota in rice grown in northern China remains to be explained. In this study, we performed 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing to generate bacterial community profiles of two representative rice cultivars, Nipponbare and IR24. They are planted in Changping and Shangzhuang farms in Beijing and have reached the reproductive stage. We compared their root microbiota in details by Random Forest machine learning algorithm and network analysis. We found that the diversity of rice root microbiota was significantly affected by geographic locations and rice genotypes. Nipponbare and IR24 showed distinct taxonomic composition of the root microbiota and the interactions between different bacteria. Moreover, the root bacteria could be used as biomarkers to distinguish Nipponbare from IR24 across regions. Our study provides a theoretical basis for the in-depth understanding of rice root microbiota in Northern China and the improvement of rice breeding from the perspective of the interaction between root microorganisms and plants.
