This study investigated the relationship between perfectionism and relative deprivation among nursing students in China as well as the mediating role of interpersonal sensitivity and the moderating role of resilience in this relationship. A cross-sectional study design involved 682 nursing students participants from two universities in Henan Province, China, using questionnaires about demographics, perfectionism, relative deprivation, interpersonal sensitivity, and resilience. Descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analysis and the PROCESS macro in regression analysis were used for data analysis. Adaptive perfectionism was not significantly correlated with relative deprivation, while maladaptive perfectionism was significantly positively correlated with interpersonal sensitivity, relative deprivation, and resilience. Interpersonal sensitivity mediated the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and relative deprivation, accounting for 41.07% of the total effect. Moreover, the first half path and direct path of this process were moderated by resilience. These results show that targeted interventions to reduce maladaptive perfectionism, reduce interpersonal sensitivity and improve resilience of nursing students could help reduce their relative deprivation.

Ecological stoichiometry is an important index that reflects the element cycle and ecosystem stability. In this study, two sites (sunny and shady slopes) and five forest ages (young stage, half-mature stage, near-mature stage, mature stage, and over-mature stage) in a Pinus tabuliformis plantation were chosen to illustrate the effects of forest ages and site conditions on the biomass and stoichiometric characteristics of leaves and soils in the temperate mountainous area of China. Except for young stage, the biomass of the leaves of P. tabuliformis on sunny slopes were higher than those on shady slopes in other forest ages, the average carbon content of the leaves in sunny slopes was higher than that in shady slope, while the average total nitrogen contents and average total phosphorus contents of the leaves showed the opposite of this. The biomass of leaves increased on sunny slopes, and increased first and then decreased in shady slopes with increasing forest ages. The contents of soil total carbon (STC) and soil total nitrogen (STN) decreased with increasing soil depth, while the soil total phosphorus (STP) and soil available phosphorus (SAP) contents displayed the opposite. In addition to SAP, the average content of STC, STN, and STP in shady slopes was higher than that in sunny slopes, and the ratio was the opposite. Except for STC: STN on shady slopes, the other ratios showed a downward trend with an increase in soil depth. Excluding the topsoil, the change trend of STC : STP and STN : STP in shady slopes and sunny slopes was consistent with forest ages. The results showed that forest ages and site conditions had significant effects on leaf biomass. The biomass of the leaves is mainly limited by nitrogen. These results have important significance in improving the refinement of local forestry management of Pinus tabuliformis plantations in the temperate mountainous area of China. Knowledge hiding is one of the dilemmas of organizational knowledge management. For nurses, knowledge hiding behavior is not conducive to improving the quality and efficiency of their work and hinders the innovation of nursing services. Based on the social exchange theory, the current study constructed a moderated mediation model by taking psychological safety and felt obligation as mediating variables, and traditionality as moderating variable, and explored the mechanism of feeling trusted affecting knowledge hiding behavior. The empirical research based on 285 nurses from China shows that feeling trusted is negative correlate with knowledge hiding behavior; feeling trusted can negatively affect knowledge hiding by enhancing psychological safety and felt obligation; traditionality can positively moderate the relationship between feeling trusted and felt obligation, and feeling trusted has a stronger positive influence on felt obligation of highly traditional nurses; traditionality has no significant moderating effect between feeling trusted and psychological safety. Theoretically, this study supplements the influencing factors of knowledge hiding, examines the complex mechanism between feeling trusted and knowledge hiding and supplements the boundary conditions for feeling trusted to play its role from the perspective of individual characteristics (i.e., traditionality). From the perspective of practical implication, this study suggests that managers should pay attention to using trust strategies to enhance subordinates' psychological safety and felt obligation, especially for highly traditional nurses, thus reducing knowledge hiding. Posttraumatic growth (PTG) has been correlated with coping style among patients with breast cancer. However, to date, there is no consensus on the extent to which coping style is associated with PTG in patients with breast cancer. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to quantitatively synthesize previous findings. Based on the PRISMA method, this study employed a random effects model using the Stata software (version 16.0) to calculate the pooled correlation coefficient and examined a range of moderators: cancer stage, publication type, participants’ age, and coping style measurement tools. Relevant studies, published from inception to 9 March 2022, were identified through a systematic search in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, PsycINFO, WANFANG DATA, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP) databases. Finally, 20 studies involving 3,571 breast cancer patients were included in this investigation. The results showed a high positive relation between confrontation coping and PTG and a moderate positive relation between avoidance coping and PTG (confrontation: r = 0.456; avoidance: r = 0.291). Additionally, a moderate negative relation was identified between acceptance–resignation coping and PTG (r = –0.289). Publication type and coping style measurement tools moderated the relation between coping style and PTG among breast cancer patients. The findings indicated that breast cancer patients should either confront the disease or avoid coping with it according to their disease state, which would facilitate better growth. Autumn fertilization is an important cultivation and management measure used to provide nutrients at the hardening stage during the end of the growing season--bolstering nutrient reserves and promoting additional growth in the following spring. Previous studies mainly focused on short-term or one-time fertilization treatment of container seedlings, and few studies have observed the effects of autumn fertilization of large-area forests over multiple continuous years. The growth dynamics and nutrient changes during autumn in 324 Pinus tabuliformis saplings in the temperate zone of China (in the eastern Liaoning mountains) were studied under field conditions with different fertilizer treatments for three consecutive years. The second year of autumn fertilization promoted the growth of tree height and annual leaf length more significantly than that in the first year, the change in diameter at breast height (DBH) was significant. Tree height (TH) in spring increased at a faster rate than in autumn, while DBH stably increased throughout the year. The increase in TH, DBH, and annual leaf length (ALL) under all fertilization treatments was higher than that of the control group, and the decrease in annual branch length (ABL) was higher than that of the control group. High N significantly increased the concentration of new coniferous N (NLN), soil total N (STN), and soil alkali-hydrolyzable N (SAHN) in P. tabuliformis saplings. High P significantly increased the concentration of P in annual needles and soil total P (STP), and decreased the concentration of N in new needles. In addition, there is a certain correlation between the N and P concentration in the needles and soil, representing the competition and interactions between plant nutrient demand and soil nutrient supply. The most favorable fertilizer treatment consisted of high N and low P (urea 204 g, calcium superphosphate 104 g), which provide support for the formulation of a reasonable fertilization technology for P. tabuliformis in the mountains of Eastern Liaoning Province, China. The Yalong River in Panzhihua, China is an important water source for the production and in the lives of people in the region. This river plays an irreplaceable role in economic development and human health. In this study, the cluster (CA) and the discriminant analyses (DA) of multivariate statistical analysis were performed to evaluate the water quality in the Yalong River from 2016 to 2018. Parameters, such as water temperature, flow rate, pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, 5-d biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), ammoniacal nitrogen, total nitrogen (TN), chlorophyll a (Chl-a), and arsenic (AS), each of which contains 72 samples, were selected to understand the temporal variations in the water quality of the Yalong River. Through CA, the watershed was divided into three groups based on the similarities of water quality characteristics. The first, second, and third groups comprise the May and June, the August, September, and October, and the January, February, March, April, July, November, and December samples, respectively. These three groups correspond to the dry, flood, and flat seasons. The correctness of the group clustering was verified through DA. The important parameters that sufficiently represent spatiotemporal differences include pH, BOD5, DO, Chl-a, and TN. The water quality parameters imply that the main problem in the Panzhihua section of the Yalong River is the high water organic pollutant content. However, the pollution level is within the Class III standard, and the overall quality of the water body is acceptable. Therefore, the monitoring frequency of these parameters should be strengthened, and the sampling method should be optimized to provide a scientific basis for the water quality monitoring in the Yalong River. BACKGROUND: Bisphenol A (BPA) is an endocrine disruptor that affects fetal growth in experimental studies. Bisphenol F (BPF) and bisphenol S (BPS), which have been substituted for BPA in some consumer products, have also shown endocrine-disrupting effects in experimental models. However, the effects of BPF and BPS on fetal growth in humans are unknown OBJECTIVES: Our goal was to investigate trimester-specific associations of urinary concentrations of BPA, BPF, and BPS with size at birth METHODS: The present study included 845 pregnant women from Wuhan, China (2013–2015), who provided one urine sample in each of the first, second, and third trimesters. Linear regressions with generalized estimating equations were applied to estimate trimester-specific associations of urinary bisphenol concentrations with birth weight, birth length, and ponderal index. Linear mixed-effects models were used to identify potential critical windows of susceptibility to bisphenols by comparing the exposure patterns of newborns in the 10th percentile of each birth anthropometric measurement to that of those in the 90th percentile. RESULTS: Medians (25th–75th percentiles) of urinary concentrations of BPA, BPF, and BPS were 1.40 (0.19–3.85), 0.65 (0.34–1.39), and 0.38 (0.13– 1.11) ng/mL, respectively. Urinary BPA concentrations in different trimesters were inversely, but not significantly, associated with birth weight and ponderal index. Urinary concentrations of BPF and BPS during some trimesters were associated with significantly lower birth weight, birth length, or ponderal index, with significant trend p-values (p,trend < 0.05) across quartiles of BPF and BPS concentrations. The observed associations were unchanged after additionally adjusting for other bisphenols. In addition, newborns in the 10th percentile of each birth anthropometry measure had higher BPF and BPS exposures during pregnancy than newborns in the 90th percentile of each outcome. BACKGROUND: Prenatal overexposure to manganese (Mn), an essential micronutrient, is related to impaired fetal growth and development. Fetuses appear to be highly sensitive to Mn during short periods of gestation. However, little is known about the critical windows of susceptibility to Mn for humans. OBJECTIVES: Our objective was to estimate trimester-specific associations of exposure to Mn with size at birth. METHODS: Urine samples of 3,022 women were collected repeatedly in the first, second, and third trimesters in Wuhan, China. Urinary concentrations of Mn and other toxic metals were measured using an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Trimester-specific associations of specific gravity- adjusted urinary Mn concentrations with birth weight, birth length, and ponderal index were estimated using multivariable linear regressions with generalized estimating equations. Linear mixed models were applied to evaluate the windows of susceptibility to Mn exposure by comparing the pattern of Mn exposure among newborns with restricted size at birth to those without. RESULTS: When compared with the third quintile of urinary Mn concentrations, both higher and lower quintiles of urinary Mn concentrations in the second and third trimesters were related to reduced birth weight, birth length, and ponderal index. But the observed associations for higher quintiles were stronger and more likely to be statistically significant [e.g., for women who were in the fifth quintile of Mn concentration in the third trimester, the reduction in birth weight was -11:2 (95% CI: -22:2, -0:1) g and in birth length was -0:04 (95% CI: -0:08, 0.00) cm]. Moreover, newborns with restricted size at birth, compared with those without, had higher levels of Mn exposure in the second and third trimesters. CONCLUSIONS: This prospective prenatal cohort study revealed an association of exposure to Mn during pregnancy, especially late pregnancy, with restricted size at birth. Replications are needed. Two political movements in 1957, the "double hundred" campaign and the anti-rightist movement, dramatically changed Wang Lisan's life. He underwent a metamorphosis from a promising young composer at the Shanghai Conservatory to a rightist that was sent to the Great Wilderness of the North. Today Wang Lisan is viewed as one of the most prominant composers in China. However, for numerous reasons, the details of his dramatic life change in 1957 remained largely unknown to the public This article contains information that has never been presented publicly before. Some of the information came from the author's "field research," i.e. interviewing with people who witnessed or were involved in the events at issue. Based on the research, the article explains what had happened to this famous composer-turned-rightist in 1957, and presents a narrative about Chinese history in that period through the lens of a young artist and scholar. It was September 1, 1959. Dusk was falling. A medium sized jeep, on which eleven musicians of the Shanghai Conservatory were seated, drove out of the campus gate on Fenyang Road. Their destination was the Great Wilderness of the North, an area located at the very northeast part of the country, more than 1000 miles away from Shanghai. They were forced to relocate to that remote place. It was raining lightly, but people's moods were by no means light. In the dark, somebody began to sing the "Song of the Communist Youth League." People raised their heads in the dark with surprise, and found out it was Wang Lisan (...), the former secretary of the League's composition department branch. Shutong Liao (...), who was also one of the people on that jeep, wrote in 1985: That muggy evening, the light rain, the smell of gasoline in the jeep and the solemn singing...as if it all happened yesterday. (Liao, 16) At that time, twenty-four year old Wang Lisan had already gained some reputation for his solo piano piece, Lanhuahua, the Beautiful Girl, which he had composed in 1953 as a homework assignment for Professor Tong Sang's (...) harmony class.4 But what had made him even more famous in the music community was his controversial article "About the Evaluation of Some of the Symphonic Works by Comrade Xinghai (...)" (hereinafter the Xinghai Article) that he wrote with two of his colleagues and classmates at the Shanghai Conservatory, Shiren Liu (...) and Zuxin Jiang (...). This article caused a nation-wide debate.
