Abstract

The article discusses about the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae & how useful it has been in experiments to study its molecular biology & genetic aspects. It also focuses on its wild lifestyle outside the human restrictions which was found in an intensive field study for population genomics. In addition it also sheds light on the recent discoveries on S. cerevisiae, which found that there are twice as much variation in Chinese isolate harbors.
