The article focuses on a study describing a new species of Heligmosomoides, an intestinal parasite in Microtus limnophilus, which originates from Rangtang, Sichuan, China. It reports that the specimens were characterized by longitudinal cuticular ridges and poorly developed dorsal ray. It says that H. longicirratus is closely related to the species by the number of cuticular ridges at 20 and 19-22 and the ratio of spicule length/body length at 48% for a male of 6mm and 50% for a male of 5.8mm long.
