The new-energy industry, which is a key area for coping with climate change, faces serious credit-financing difficulties. This study used a bilateral stochastic frontier model to measure the bargaining power of new-energy companies in China's credit-financing market. We then examined the main factors affecting the bargaining power of new-energy enterprises by comparing the results of the firms in different groups, including corporate-related factors, government policies, and financial development levels. The results showed that the bargaining power of both banks and enterprises had an important influence on the final financing price. In the bargaining process, new-energy companies were at a disadvantage, and financing prices were 17.2% higher than fair prices. The nature of state-owned enterprises hinders the improvement of the bargaining power of new-energy enterprises. Technology competence and relationships with banks are useful ways for new-energy enterprises to improve their bargaining power. In solving the financing difficulties in the credit market of new-energy enterprises, government subsidies are usually ineffective, while improving the financial development level is effective. Background: Carbapenem resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) is an independent risk factor for nosocomial infection which poses a serious threat to human health. How to prevent and suppress CRKP infection and explore its drug resistance mechanisms have become a huge challenge and possesses immediate significance. Methods: A total of 45 CRKP strains isolated from hospitalized patients in Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University were collected from August 2018-December 2020. The strain's identification and antimicrobial susceptibility tests were performed using the VITEK 2 automated identification instrument. Single molecule DNA sequencing of 45 CRKP isolates was performed by the third generation high-throughput sequencing technology. Results: The results were analyzed by multi locus sequence typing (MLST) and phylogenetic analysis. Antimicrobial susceptibility showed that 45 CRKP isolates were multi-drug resistant strains, and the resistance rates to common antibiotics were as high as 68%. Whole genome sequencing results showed that the CRKP strains carried multiple drug resistance genes and virulence factors. MLST analysis found two different sequence types (ST), of which 44 were ST11 and 1 was ST1049. Conclusion: Through whole genome sequencing (WGS), we found multiple drug-resistant genes and virulence factors, and there was obvious dominant microbiota. The source was mainly related to nosocomial infection. The ST11-KPC Klebsiella pneumoniae was the main type, which was consistent with the most common type in China. We identified several dominant microbiotas which may serve as a target in the clinical prevention and treatment of severe bacterial infections. P2P online lending platforms have been developing rapidly worldwide in recent years. This study seeks to explain platform users' behaviour in different cultures. Specifically, this research aims to investigate the sentiment polarity of the posts in P2P online lending platforms and how it influences the quantity and quality of user reviews. Over 3000 online posts were collected from large online platforms in China and U.S. The findings indicate that in U.S. P2P online lending platforms, there are more reviews for negative-sentiment posts than those for positive-sentiment posts. In a collective culture such as China, there are more reviews in P2P online lending platforms for positive-sentiment posts, and platform participants tend to post strong sentiment information. Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is one of the main pathogens in different raw milk and dairy products, which may lead to economic losses. Staphylococcus aureus is a significant and costly public health concern because it may enter the human food chain and contaminate milk causing foodborne illness. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence, antimicrobial susceptibility and virulence genes of S. aureus in raw milks. In total, 125 raw milk samples collected from goat (n = 50), buffalo (n = 25), camel (n = 25), and yak (n = 25) were collected from 5 provinces in China in 2016. Out of 125 samples, 36 (28.8%) S. aureus were isolated (16 from goat, 9 from buffalo, 6 from camel, and 5 from yak). Out of 36 S. aureus , 26 strains (26/36, 72.2%) showed antibiotics resistance, and 6 strains isolated from goats were identified as methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA). The antimicrobial resistance against Penicillin G, tetracycline and gentamicin was 50% (18/36), 41.7% (15/36), and 36.1% (13/36), respectively. 19 S. aureus (52.8%) were considered as multidrug resistant. The highest prevalence of resistant S. aureus was observed in goat milk (13/36, 36.1%). Among the 36 strains, 16 isolates harbored three or more resistant genes. The resistance genes were detected in 25 S. aureus , including 13 strains in goat, 5 strains in buffalo, 4 strains in camel, and 3 strains in yak. Among the 26 resistant strains, 61.5% of isolates harbored three or more resistant genes. The resistance genes were detected in 25 S. aureus , including 13 strains in goat milk, 5 strains in buffalo milk, 4 strains in camel milk, and 3 strains in yak milk. The most predominant resistance genes were bla Z (18/26, 69.2%), aac6 ′- aph2″ (13/26, 50.0%), and tet (M) (10/26, 38.5%). The mec A, ant(6)- Ia and fex A gene were only detected in S. aureus from goat milk. The most predominant toxin gene were sec (8/26, 30.8%). The majority of S. aureus were multidrug resistant and carried multiple virulence genes, which may pose potential risk to public health. Dust aerosols persistently affect nearly all landscapes worldwide, and the saltation activity caused by dusty weather (e.g., dust days) releases considerable amounts of aerosol into the atmosphere. Nevertheless, dust-induced saltation activity may also occur on non-dust days. To date, few studies have investigated the saltation activity characteristics on non-dust days. Moreover, the contribution of non-dust days to the total saltation activity remains ambiguous. This study comprehensively investigates the characteristics of saltation activity on non-dust days. Specifically, we analyze the influence of the saltation activity of non-dust days on dust aerosols by utilizing saltation, atmospheric, soil, dust aerosol (i.e., PM10 and aerosol optical depth), and weather record data obtained from the Taklimakan Desert, China, between 2008 and 2010. Our results show that lower temperature, vapor pressure, and soil moisture on non-dust days reduces the saltation threshold velocity (5.9 m/s) more compared to on dust days (6.5 m/s). Furthermore, regarding wind speed, relatively strong monthly saltation activity occurs from March to August, and daily saltation activity occurs from 9:00 to 16:00. Although non-dust days only contribute 18.5% and 7.7% to saltation time and saltation count, respectively, both significantly influence the dust aerosols. Escherichia coli is a common bacterium in the intestines of animals, and it is also the major important cause of toxic mastitis, which is an acute or peracute disease that causes a higher incidence of death and culling of cattle. The purpose of this study was to investigate E. coli strains isolated from the raw milk of dairy cattle in Northern China, and the antibacterial susceptibility of these strains and essential virulence genes. From May to September 2015, 195 raw milk samples were collected from 195 dairy farms located in Northern China. Among the samples, 67 (34.4%) samples were positive for E. coli. About 67 E. coli strains were isolated from these 67 samples. The prevalence of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC), enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC), enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC), and enteroinvasive E. coli (EIEC) were 9, 6, 4.5, and 1.5%, respectively. Among the virulence genes detected, stx 1 was the most prevalent (6/67, 9%) gene, followed by eae (3/67, 4.5%), and est B (2/67, 3%). Moreover, the strains exhibited different resistance levels to ampicillin (46.3%), amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (16.4%), trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (13.4%), tetracycline (13.4%), cefoxitin (11.9%), chloramphenicol (7.5%), kanamycin (7.5%), streptomycin (6.0%), tobramycin (4.5%), azithromycin (4.5%), and ciprofloxacin (1.5%). All of the E. coli isolates were susceptible to gentamicin. The prevalence of β-lactamase-encoding genes was 34.3% in 67 E. coli isolates and 45% in 40 β-lactam-resistance E. coli isolates. The overall prevalence of bla SHV, bla TEM, bla CMY, and bla CTX-M genes were 1.5, 20.9, 10.4, and 1.5%, respectively. Nine non-pathogenic E. coli isolates also carried β-lactamase resistance genes, which may transfer to other pathogenic E. coli and pose a threat to the farm's mastitis management projects. Our results showed that most of E. coli were multidrug resistant and possessed multiple virulence genes, which may have a huge potential hazard with public health, and antibiotic resistance of E. coli was prevalent in dairy herds in Northern China, and ampicillin should be used cautiously for mastitis caused by E. coli in Northern China. We report an asymptomatic child who was positive for a coronavirus by reverse transcription PCR in a stool specimen 17 days after the last virus exposure. The objectives of this study were to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility, phylotype, and virulence genes of Escherichia coli (E. coli) from cows with clinical mastitis. A total of 497 mastitis samples were collected and 92 E. coli isolates were identified. E. coli isolates were highly resistance to ampicillin (41.3%), followed by piperacillin (36.9%) and tetracycline (34.7%). Five intimin types, namely μR-ι2, λ, ξR/β2, νR-ε2, η, were observed among 75 EPEC strains with eae gene, with all the intimins were first detected in bovine mastitis milk. And 65 E. coli strains (70.7%) belonged to seven different O serotypes (O121, O91, O22, O26, O128, O111, and O113). For the phylogroup assignment, only 87 E. coli isolates could be assigned into phylogroup B1, A, C, and E. Purpose: Little is known about the epidemiology and carbapenem-resistance determinants of carbapenem-resistant K. aerogenes (CRKA) isolated from a single medical center. The present study was initiated to characterize the molecular epidemiology and the carbapenem-resistance mechanisms of CRKA isolated during 2012– 2018 from a teaching hospital in southwest China, and to investigate the risk factors and clinical outcomes of CRKA infections as well. Methods: Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) was employed for epidemiological analysis. PCR amplification and DNA sequencing were used to examine the antibiotic-resistance determinants. Plasmids were extracted and characterized by PCR-based replicon typing and conjugation assays. In order to further investigate the risk factors and clinical outcomes of CRKA infections, a retrospective case–control study was also performed. Results: PFGE analysis showed 32 different PFGE patterns among the 36 non-duplicated CRKA strains collected. Most of the isolates harbored multi-drug resistance (MDR) genes, including 2 (5.6%) carrying blaNDM-1, 1 (2.8%) harboring blaKPC-2, 13 (36.1%) carrying ESBL genes, 23 (63.9%) carrying ampC genes, 34 (94.4%) carrying quinolone resistance determinants (QRD) genes and 9 (25%) carrying aminoglycoside resistance determinants (ARD) genes. The outer membrane porins, OmpE35 and OmpE36, were, respectively, lost in 4 and 2 isolates. The efflux pump inhibition experiments were positive in 25 (69.4%) of the CRKA strains. Multivariate analysis indicated that hypo-albuminaemia, invasive procedures, and carbapenem exposure were independent risk factors for acquiring CRKA infections. Conclusion: No clonality relationship was identified among most of the 36 CRKA isolates. The over-expression of ESBLs and AmpC coupled with the efflux pumps contributed to carbapenem resistance in K. aerogenes. Additionally, this is the first report of CRKA isolate co-harboring blaNDM-1, blaCTX-M-15, blaEBC, blaACC, acc (6ʹ)-Ib, armA, qnrD and loss of OmpE36 in China. Over the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert (TD), the diurnal and seasonal cycles of the air temperature (AT) and horizontal sand-dust flux (HSDF) were investigated, based on in situ data including sand saltation counts and meteorological parameters in the period 2008–2010. In particular, the relationship between AT and HSDF was determined. It was found that 74.7% of HSDF was observed between 10:00 and 20:00, and HSDF in spring and summer accounted for 92.3% of the annual flux. Further, the diurnal and annual cycles of HSDF and AT presented an exponential distribution, with correlation coefficients (R) of 0.97 and 0.93, respectively. Additionally, when AT was 0 °C or lower, the frequency of sand saltation was only 4.3%. The maximum sand saltation frequency was 70.1%, which occurred at 33–34 °C, while 67.6% of the total HSDF occurred at 24–34 °C. Finally, a Gauss equation was established over the TD: Q = 250.2 + 1368.5e−2 × [(T−30.8)/7.3]^2, with R = 0.90. Results revealed a strong correlation between HSDF and AT, indicating that AT should be noticeable in HSDF parameterization schemes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The plant growth regulator mepiquat chloride (MC) has been widely used to regulate cotton growth and development worldwide. However, little is known about whether MC application during cotton growing season affects defoliation efficiency of the harvest aids (TE), a novel product with the mixture of 10% thidiazuron and 40% ethephon. Here, a 3-year (2018–2020) field experiment was carried out in Hejian, Hebei province, China, involving six treatments as three different MC rates (MC free, farmers' practice-conventional amount, high MC amount) and two defoliant rates (0 ml ha−1 [CK] and 2250 ml ha−1 [TE]). High MC rate delayed cotton leaf abscission and decreased the defoliation percentage at 7 days after TE treatment, but hardly affected harvest aids efficacy at harvest time. The delay of leaf abscission was due to an increase in auxin and cytokinin concentration of cotton leaves in MC treatment. The MC treatment accelerated the natural maturation of cotton, achieving a higher boll-opening percentage before defoliant spraying, and increased cotton lint yield. Over the 3-year period, compared to CK, the defoliant application TE increased the defoliation percentage by 43.4%, the boll-opening percentage by 10.4%, and the cotton lint yield by 9.1% due to an increase in opened boll number per unit land area. We concluded that the optimal MC dose (about 200 g ha−1) would decrease the risk of reducing defoliation and achieve higher cotton lint yield. • Applying mepiquat chloride (MC) only delayed cotton leaf abscission in the early stage of defoliation. • MC application increased auxin and cytokinin concentration in cotton leaf. • Applying MC accelerated cotton maturation and achieved a higher boll-opening percentage. • The optimal MC dose decreased the risk of decreasing defoliation and enhanced cotton lint yield. Background: Used the EuroQoL-5 dimension (EQ-5D) to evaluate the health status of 5310 residents who live in East China, and compared the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) with 311 patients with type 2 diabetes as well as to explore the main influence factors to HRQoL in East China. Methods: The cohort includes 5310 participants aged 18-89 years old lived in East China. EuroQoL-5 dimension (EQ-5D) scale was used for the assessment of health-related quality of life. Results: The mean age of the cohort was 52.2 ± 13.4 years of which 43.7% were male. A moderate level of health-related quality of life was measured of that EQ-5D index and EQ-VAS scores were 0.939 ± 0.111 and 80.06 ± 11.58, respectively. There was a significant difference between diabetes patients and non-diabetes (p = 0.029, p < 0.001, respectively). The age had an inverse correlation with the EQ-5D scores both in general population and diabetes patients. The EQ-5D Vas was weakly adversely associated with the FPG, HbA1c and HOMA-IR. Conclusion: The overall health-related quality of life of population in East-China was moderate. Diabetes patients had lower score of health-related quality. Recent studies have suggested an association between vitamin D and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD); however, some results are subject to debate. This study was carried out to evaluate the correlation between NAFLD and vitamin D in men and women in East China. The data were obtained from a cross-sectional study that focused on the health and metabolic status of adults in sixteen areas of East China. According to ultrasonic assessments, the patients were divided into normal and NAFLD groups. Demographic characteristics and biochemical measurements were obtained. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to explore the association. In total, 5066 subjects were enrolled, and 2193 (43⋅3%) were diagnosed with NAFLD; 84⋅56% of the subjects showed vitamin D deficiency. Subjects with high vitamin D levels had a lower prevalence of NAFLD, particularly male subjects. Within the highest quartile of vitamin D levels, the prevalence of NAFLD was 40⋅8%, whereas the lowest quartile of vitamin D levels showed a prevalence of 62⋅2 %, which was unchanged in women across the vitamin D levels. Binary logistic analysis showed that decreased vitamin D levels were associated with an increased risk of NAFLD (OR 1⋅54; 95 % CI 1⋅26, 1⋅88). This study suggests that vitamin D levels are significantly associated with NAFLD and that vitamin D acts as an independent factor for NAFLD prevalence, particularly in males in East China. The adjacency effect and non-uniform responses complicate the precise delimitation of the surface support of remote sensing data and their derived products. Thus, modeling spatial response characteristics (SRCs) prior to using remote sensing information has become important. A point spread function (PSF) is typically used to describe the SRCs of the observation cells from remote sensors and is always estimated in a laboratory before the sensor is launched. However, research on the SRCs of high-order remote sensing products derived from the observations remains insufficient, which is an obstacle to converting between multi-scale remote sensing products and validating coarse-resolution products. This study proposed a method that combines simulation and validation to establish SRC models of coarse-resolution albedo products. Two series of commonly used 500-m/1-km resolution albedo products, which are derived from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) reflectance data, were investigated using 30-m albedo products that provide the required sub-pixel information. The analysis proves that the size of the surface support of each albedo pixel is larger than the nominal resolution of the pixel and that the response weight is non-uniformly distributed, with an elliptical Gaussian shape. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and inflammatory disorders. In this study, we tested the effect of rhein, a lipophilic anthraquinone derived from a traditional Chinese herbal medicine Rheum palmatum L., on NAFLD-associated hepatic steatosis, insulin resistance, and the T helper (Th)1/Th2 cytokine imbalance in high-fat diet-induced obese (DIO) mice. We found that oral administration of rhein for 40 days significantly increased energy expenditure, reduced body weight, particularly body fat content, improved insulin resistance, and lowered circulating cholesterol levels in DIO mice without affecting food intake. Rhein treatment also reduced liver triglyceride levels, reversed hepatic steatosis, and normalized alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels in these mice. Gene analysis and Western blot showed that rhein markedly suppressed the expression of the lipogenic enzyme sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1c (SREBP-1c) and its target genes in the liver. Luciferase reporter assay revealed that rhein suppressed the transcriptional activity of SREBP-1c through its upstream regulator, liver X receptor (LXR). This suggests that rhein exerts its effects by targeting LXR, which is also supported by its inability to reduce body weight in LXR knockout mice. Moreover, multiplex ELISA displayed a downregulated Th1 response after rhein treatment. Rhein shifted the Th1/Th2 responses by inhibiting T-box expressed in T-cells (T-bet) expression and enhancing GATA-binding protein-3 (GATA-3) expression through increased signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6) phosphorylation. These data indicate that rhein ameliorated NAFLD and associated disorders through LXR-mediated negative energy balance, metabolic regulatory pathways, and immunomodulatory activities involved in hepatic steatosis. Background: Wilson's disease (WND) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder. Here we have evaluated 62 WND cases (58 probands) from the Chinese Han population to expand our knowledge of ATP7B mutations and to more completely characterize WND in China. Methods: The coding and promoter regions of the ATP7B gene were analyzed by direct sequencing in 62 Chinese patients (58 probands) with WND (male, n = 37; female, n = 25; age range, 2 ∼ 61 years old). Results: Neurologic manifestations were associated with older age at diagnosis (p < 0.0001) and longer diagnostic delay (p < 0.0001). Age at diagnosis was also correlated with urinary copper concentration (r = 0.58, p < 0.001). Forty different mutations, including 14 novel mutations, were identified in these patients. Common mutations included p.Arg778Leu (31.9%) and p.Pro992Leu (11.2%). Homozygous p.Arg778Leu and nonsense mutation/frameshift mutations were more often associated with primary hepatic manifestations (p = 0.0286 and p = 0.0383, respectively) and higher alanine transaminase levels at diagnosis (p = 0.0361 and p = 0.0047, respectively). Nonsense mutation/frameshift mutations were also associated with lower serum ceruloplasmin (p = 0.0065). Conclusions: We identified 14 novel mutations and found that the spectrum of mutations of ATP7B in China is quite distinct from that of Western countries. The mutation type plays a role in predicting clinical manifestations. Genetic testing is a valuable tool to detect WND in young children, especially in patients younger than 8 years old. Physical conditions and biotic interactions are believed to be the determinants of plant zonation in saltmarshes. However, in rapidly developing estuarine marshes, succession is regarded as the primary process responsible for plant zonation and it is controlled mainly by environmental factors. Salinity and inundation are two important factors responsible for the distribution pattern of dominant plants in coastal saltmarshes. Here we conducted a common garden experiment as well as a field transplanting to examine the responses of four dominant saltmarsh plants (native Scirpus mariqueter, Scirpus triqueter and Phragmites australis, and exotic Spartina alterniflora) in the Yangtze River estuary to environmental gradients, which may help us understand their current and potential zonation. The results showed that Scirpus adapted to freshwater and less inundated habitats, Phragmites performed well in brackish or freshwater environments with less inundation, and Spartina tolerated the highest salinity and deepest inundation. In the harshest environments (the highest salinity and water level), only Spartina performed well. In the mild environments, however, there were only minor differences in the performances among the four species. The potential ranges of Phragmites and Spartina were predicted to be larger than their current ones, and their lower boundaries might be set by tidal scour rather than edaphic factors. With the saltmarsh succession, invasive Spartina in the Yangtze River estuary might ultimately replace Scirpus, and alter the zonal patterns of native saltmarsh plants, which will lead to severe ecosystem consequences. Thus, proper management measures (e.g., repeated mowing) need to be implemented to control this invasive exotic plant, and restore the vulnerable ecosystems invaded by Spartina in the Yangtze River estuary. A special topography and ultra-high atmospheric boundary layer conditions in the Tarim Basin (TB) lead to the unique spatial–temporal distribution characteristics of dust aerosols. A typical dust storm with persistent floating dust over the TB from 27 April to 1 May 2015 was used to investigate the characteristics of the dust radiative effect using the Weather Research and Forecasting Model with Chemistry (WRF-Chem). Based on reasonable evaluations involving in situ sounding observations, as well as remotely sensed MODIS observations of meteorology, dust aerosols, and the ultra-high atmospheric boundary layer, the simulation characterized the complete characteristics of the dust direct radiative effect (DDRE) during the dust storm outbreak stage and persistent floating dust stage over the TB. During the daytime, the shortwave (SW) radiative effect heated the atmosphere and cooled the land surface (SUR), whereas the longwave (LW) radiative effect had the opposite effect on the TB. Regarding low-level dust, the LW radiative effect was greater than the SW DDRE in the atmosphere, while for high-level dust the situation was reversed. During the nighttime, the LW DDRE at the top of the atmosphere (TOA), at the SUR, and in the atmosphere was less than that during the daytime, when the DDRE at the SUR was the most significant. In contrast to the daytime, the near-surface dust aerosols exerted an LW warming effect in the atmosphere during the nighttime; however, the dust LW radiative effect had a cooling effect from above a 100 m altitude until the top of the dust layer. In contrast, the DDRE heating rate peaked at the top of the dust layer within the TB. The event-averaged net DDRE was 0.53, −5.90, and 6.43 W m−2 at the TOA, at the SUR, and in the atmosphere over the TB, respectively. The dust SW radiative effect was stronger than the dust L4W radiative effect over the TB at the SUR and in the atmosphere. Moreover, the DDRE at the TOA was weaker than that at the SUR. • There are no reports on combination therapies of compound danshen dripping pill and azilsartan. • We investigated the effect of compound danshen dripping pill on the pharmacokinetics of azilsartan. • Effects of compound danshen dripping pill on mRNA and protein expression of azilsartan metabolic enzymes were evaluated. • There may be potential herb-drug interactions between the two drugs. Combination therapies of compound danshen dripping pill (CDDP) and Azilsartan (AZ) represent a promising treatment option in clinical practice in China, but there are no reports on drug-drug interactions between CDDP and AZ. This study investigated the effects of CDDP on the pharmacokinetics of AZ and clarified its potential mechanism. The pharmacokinetic profiles of oral administration of AZ (2 mg/kg) in Sprague-Dawley rats, with or without pre-treatment of CDDP (81, 405, 810 mg/kg/d for 7 d) were investigated using UPLC-MS/MS. The main pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated and compared. The MS analysis was performed in positive ionization mode. The purpose of chromatographic separation of AZ and the internal standard (IS, Valsartan) was finished on a Waters XBridge BEH C18 column (2.1 × 100 mm, 2.5 μm). The mobile phase was acetonitrile and 0.1 % formic acid-water with gradient elution at a flow rate of 0.4 mL/min. The mRNA and protein levels of CYP2B1, CYP2C6, and CYP2C11 in the rat liver were detected by qRT-PCR and western blot, respectively. The results indicated that low, medium and high doses of CDDP significantly increased the C max (6.47 ± 2.28, 6.51 ± 1.99, 7.04 ± 1.31 vs. 3.30 ± 1.87) of AZ, compared with that in the AZ single-drug group (p< 0.05). The AUC 0-t of AZ (47.77 ± 23.41, 50.69 ± 25.46, 54.50 ± 11.57 vs. 26.85 ± 16.79) tended to increase in combination with CDDP. The gene and protein expression levels of CYP2B1, CYP2C6, and CYP2C11 were significantly reduced in the rat liver by CDDP. CDDP may diminish the AZ metabolism in vivo by suppressing the expression of the CYP2B1, CYP2C6, and CYP2C11 enzymes. This observation suggested the occurrence of potential interactions between CDDP and AZ when clinically administered as combination therapy, which may require adjustment of the clinical dose of AZ. Mechanical harvesting has become inevitable for cotton production in China due to the rising labor cost in the country. It usually requires a moderate plant height and compact plant architecture. Correlation and stepwise regression were employed to analyze databases of our 24 field experiments between 2010 and 2017 in Hebei Province. The purpose is to identify the relationships between plant architecture traits and seed cotton yield within natural plant height range (58.6–163.2 cm) or preferred plant height range (80–120 cm) for mechanical harvesting in the Yellow River Valley of China, and define some important factors affecting seed cotton yield. Under natural plant height range across all experiments, there was a significantly negative correlation (r = −0.452) between plant height and yield. On limited plant height range desired for mechanical harvesting, the degree of this negative correlation decreased to r = −0.366. The correlation of plant height with seed cotton yield varied greatly with year, cultivar, plant density and mepiquat chloride (MC) application. Moreover, stepwise regression analysis picked internode length of the 1st (generally including 1st–7th mainstem node from bottom), 2nd (8th–12th node) and 4th (above 17th node) mainstem section and the length of lower fruiting branch (LFB) as significant factors influencing seed cotton yield under plant height range of 80–120 cm. • At the steady state, the stress assessment of the reactor vessel in CiADS satisfies the requirements of ASME Code. • Adding a thermal insulation layer outside the reactor vessel may reduce the stress on vessel. • During the postulated ULOF accidents, the reactor vessel will not experience plastic deformation. • During the postulated UTOP accidents, the limit reactivity insertion to protect the reactor vessel from plastic deformation is 400 pcm. The China Initiative Accelerator Driven System (CiADS) was proposed by China Academy of Science since 2015. The subcritical reactor in CiADS is a liquid Lead Bismuth Eutectic (LBE) cooled fast reactor. When the reactor core is in operation, the LBE coolant will directly contact and corrode the inner surface of reactor vessel. Due to the high temperature, the corrosion will be more severe. If the stress on the reactor vessel exceeds the limit, the plastic deformation will occur, leading to the generation and expansion of defects and cracks, and the safety of the reactor will be affected. Therefore, evaluating the stress field of the reactor vessel under different operating conditions is a very important research project. In this paper, the finite element analysis software ADINA was applied to analyze the reactor vessel in CiADS, and the ASME Code was used as stress assessment standards. We can preliminarily prove that the stress assessments of the vessel during the postulated Unprotected Loss of Flow (ULOF) accidents satisfy the requirements of ASME Code. The limit reactivity insertion to protect the vessel from plastic deformation is 0.58$ in the postulated Unprotected Transient over Power (UTOP) accidents based on our current results. Therefore, we can preliminarily conclude that the current material selection and structural design of the reactor vessel in CiADS could survive most of the postulated transient accidents considering the stress effect. The vertical distributions of sand-dust aerosols (SDAs) over the Taklimakan Desert (TD; 37°N–41°N, 78°E−88°E) that occurred during the spring are essential for both long-range transport and climate effects, apart from the living environment and health. In this study, we investigated the optical properties of SDAs and evaluated the correlation between optical properties and meteorological factors over the TD area located in the northwest of China. For this, we have utilized the A-train multiple-satellite remote sensing data provided quasi-synchronized observations by the Cloud-aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations (CALIPSO), CloudSat, and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instruments for the study period during 2007–2010. Besides, we have verified the meteorological factors observed from the CALIPSO to know the applicability and reliability with the Radiosonde sounding data. We found that the cloud–aerosol discrimination (CAD) algorithm can accurately identify clouds and SDAs over the TD area, especially during blowing dust/floating dust (BD/FD). Overall, it is revealed that the total depolarization ratio of SDAs is below 0.5. Besides, the temperature (T) and pressure (P) of CALIPSO satellite products data are in excellent agreement with the radiosonde sounding measured data over the TD area. Further, most data points during the DS (BD/FD) event spread towards lower (higher) relative humidity (RH) ranged between 0.0386 and 0.6306 (0.1079 and 1.00). Our analysis provides the observational evidence from the CALIOP that the optical properties of vertical dust particles and meteorological elements over the TD have distinct variability below and above 4 km height for DS and BD/FD events. The results obtained will provide not only reliable reference values for the improvement of the CAD algorithm used in the CALIPSO but also provide critical information for model evaluation and enhancement of CALIPSO products. Antibiotics are increasingly found in dairy products. To ensure consumer safety, rapid screening methods which are accurate and cost-effective are highly in demand. A multiplexed detection technology was tested for quantification of these four kinds of antibiotics simultaneously in milk. The visual microarray technology based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays was utilized in this method, which can detect multiple target molecules simultaneously. This colorimetric technology provides direct results that can be detected using common commercial microplate scanners. The limit of detection (LOD) were calculated as 3.30, 3.39, 2.42 and 4.88 μg kg−1 for quinolones, tetracycline, lincomycin and streptomycin, respectively. The limits of quantity (LOQ) were defined as 8.97, 8.43, 5.36 and 10.97 μg kg−1 for quinolones, tetracycline, lincomycin and streptomycin, respectively. The accuracy of method was also adequate for these four substances with the recovery rates ranging from 77.6% to 116.4% were obtained for the detection of practical samples. The spore-forming bacteria in the dairy industry are notable for their spores resilience and capacity to survive heating processes, allowing them to germinate and enter the vegetative stage, potentially leading to spoilage of the milk. Additionally, these spores can form biofilms, becoming a persistent source of contamination in processing environments. In this study, we collected a total of 165 raw milk from six different parts in China in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, respectively. Metagenomics sequencing method was used to explore and compare the differences in spore-forming bacterial composition and diversity in raw milk samples. Among these samples, four genera and 207 species of spore-forming bacteria were identified, with the genus Bacillus and the species Paenibacillus darwinianus dominant. Seasonal variations had a greater impact on the composition and abundance of spore-forming bacteria in raw milk than regional differences. Notable, raw milk samples collected during the spring and summer exhibited a higher number of unique spore-forming bacterial species compared to those collected in other seasons. Moreover, different regions and seasons have their own dominant bacteria. Metabolism of cofactors and vitamins, energy metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, and amino acid metabolism were the main metabolic pathways. Psychrophilic bacteria, the dominant spoilage organisms in raw milk, secrete heat-stable extracellular proteases and lipases that lead to the decomposition of milk and dairy products. In this study, we investigated psychrophilic bacteria in 165 raw milk samples collected across four seasons and six regions in China using shotgun metagenomic sequencing and traditional culture methods. The isolated psychrophilic bacteria were classified into 40 genera and 185 species. Pseudomonas was the most prevalent, accounting for 51.13 % of the genera, while Lactococcus and Chryseobacterium were also notably abundant (> 6.0 %). Metagenomic sequencing revealed that Pseudomonas (47.9 %), Stenotrophomonas (9.75 %), Sphingomonas (6.73 %), Latilactobacillus (6.38 %) and Lactococcus (5.16 %) were the dominant genera in the raw milk samples. The diversity of psychrophilic bacteria in raw milk was strongly influenced by seasonal variations, with the sampling region being a less significant factor. KEGG annotation indicated that carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism were the primary metabolic pathways in these bacteria. Danjiangkou Reservoir is a critical water source for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, which harbors a diverse bacterioplankton community with varying depths, and the understanding of its nitrogen and phosphorus cycle and associated driving factors remains limited. In this study, we selected five ecological sites within Danjiangkou Reservoir and conducted metagenomics analysis to investigate the vertical distribution of bacterioplankton communities in the surface, middle, and bottom layers. Furthermore, we analyzed and predicted the function of nitrogen and phosphorus cycles, along with their driving factors. Our findings revealed the dominance of Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Planctomycetes in the Danjiangkou Reservoir. Significant differences were observed in the structure of bacterioplankton communities across different depths, with temperature （ T ）, oxidation-reduction potential （ORP）, dissolved oxygen （DO）, and Chla identified as primary factors influencing the bacterioplankton composition. Analysis of nitrogen cycle functional genes identified 39 genes, including gltB , glnA , gltD , gdhA , NRT , etc., which were involved in seven main pathways, encompassing nitrogen fixation, nitrification, denitrification, and dissimilatory nitrate reduction. Phosphorus cycle function gene analysis identified 54 genes, including pstS , ppx - gppA , glpQ , ppk1 , etc., primarily participating in six main pathways, including organic P mineralization, inorganic P solubilization, and regulatory. Cluster analysis indicated that different depths were significant factors influencing the composition and abundance of nitrogen and phosphorus cycle functional genes. The composition and abundance of nitrogen and phosphorus cycle functional genes in the surface and bottom layers differed and were generally higher than those in the middle layer. Deinococcus , Hydrogenophaga , Limnohabitans , Clavibacter , and others were identified as key species involved in the nitrogen and phosphorus cycle. Additionally, we found significant correlations between nitrogen and phosphorus cycle functional genes and environmental factors such as DO, pH, T , total dissolved solids （TDS）, electrical conductivity （EC）, and Chla. Furthermore, the content of these environmental factors exhibited depth-related changes in the Danjiangkou Reservoir, resulting in a distinct vertical distribution pattern of bacterioplankton nitrogen and phosphorus cycle functional genes. Overall, this study sheds light on the composition, function, and influencing factors of bacterioplankton communities across different layers of Danjiangkou Reservoir, offering valuable insights for the ecological function and diversity protection of bacterioplankton in this crucial reservoir ecosystem.

Desert carbon sequestration plays an active role in promoting carbon neutralization. However, the current understanding of the effect of hydrothermal interactions and soil properties on desert carbon sequestration after precipitation remains unclear. Based on the experiment in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert, we found that the heavy precipitation will accelerate the weakening of abiotic carbon sequestration in deserts under the background of global warming and intensified water cycle. The high soil moisture can significantly stimulate sand to release CO 2 at an incredible speed by rapidly increasing microbial activity and organic matter diffusion. At this time, the CO 2 flux in the shifting sand was synergistically affected by soil temperature and soil moisture. As far as soil properties are concerned, with less organic carbon substrate and stronger soil alkalinity, the carbon sequestration of shifting sand is gradually highlighted and strengthened at low temperature. On the contrary, the carbon sequestration of shifting sand is gradually weakened. Our study provides a new way to assess the contribution of desert to the global carbon cycle and improve the accuracy and scope of application.

Due to high requirements of storage, operation and delivery conditions, it is more difficult for cold chain logistics to meet the demand with supply in the course of disruption. And, accurate demand forecasting promotes supply efficiency for cold chain logistics in a changeable environment. This paper aims to find the main influential factors of cold chain demand and presents a prediction to support the resilience operation of cold chain logistics. After analyzing the internal relevance between potential factors and regional agricultural cold chain logistics demand, the grey model GM (1, N) with fractional order accumulation is established to forecast future agricultural cold chain logistics demand in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. The following outcomes have been obtained. (1) The proportion of tertiary industry, per capita disposable income indices for urban households and general price index for farm products are the first three factors influencing the cold chain logistics demand for agricultural products in both Beijing and Tianjin. The GDP, fixed asset investment in transportation and storage, and the proportion of tertiary industry are three major influential factors in Hebei. (2) Agricultural cold chain demand in Beijing and Hebei will grow sustainably in 2021-2025, while the trend in Tianjin remains stable. In conclusion, regional developmental differences should be considered when planning policies for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cold chain logistics system.

Abstract: The pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase 1 (PYCR1) plays important roles in cancers, but its contribution to adenocarcinoma of the kidney (AK) and the potential mechanism remain to be clarified. In this study, we aimed to demonstrate the relationship between PYCR1 mRNA and AK based on The Cancer Genome Atlas database.PYCR1 mRNA in AK and normal tissues was compared using Wilcoxon rank sum test. The relationship between PYCR1 mRNA and clinicopathological characters was evaluated using logistic regression. The association between PYCR1 mRNA and survival rate was evaluated using Kaplan-Meier test and Cox regression of univariate and multivariate analysis. Additionally, Gene Set Enrichment Analysis was conducted to annotate the biological function of PYCR1 mRNA.Increased PYCR1 mRNA was found in AK tissues. Increased PYCR1 mRNA was related to high histologic grade, clinical stage, and lymph node and distant metastasis. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and univariate analysis showed that AK patients with increased PYCR1 mRNA had worse prognosis than those without. PYCR1 mRNA remained independently associated with overall survival (HR: 1.34; 95% CI: 1.07-1.66; P = .009) in multivariate analysis. The Gene Set Enrichment Analysis suggested that ribosome, proteasome, inhibition of p53 signaling pathway, extracellular matrix receptor interaction, and homologous recombination were differentially enriched in increased PYCR1 mRNA phenotype.Increased PYCR1 mRNA is a potential marker in patients with AK. The Chinese National Twin Registry (CNTR), initiated in 2001, has now become the largest twin registry in Asia. From 2015 to 2018, the CNTR continued to receive Chinese government funding and had recruited 61,566 twin-pairs by 2019 to study twins discordant for specific exposures such as environmental factors, and twins discordant for disease outcomes or measures of morbidity. Omic data, including genetics, genomics, metabolomics, and proteomics, and gut microbiome will be tested. The integration of omics and digital technologies in public health will advance our understanding of precision public health. This review introduces the updates of the CNTR, including study design, sample size, biobank, zygosity assessment, advances in research and future systems epidemiologic research.

Objective To understand the prevalence and metabolic abnormalities of fatty liver disease among adults in Mianyang City,Sichuan Province,and to analyze their influencing factors.Methods Totally 294 603 adults aged 18 years and older were enrolled by using a multi-stage stratified random sampling method in Mianyang City from November 1,2014 to September 30,2015.Fatty liver was diagnosed by abdominal ultrasound.The general demographic characteristics,smoking history,drinking history,and history of chronic disease were collected through questionnaires.Meanwhile,10 217 subjects were randomly selected for biochemical tests[fasting plasma gluose(FPG),triacylglycerol(TG),total cholesterol(TC),and alanine aminotransferase(ALT)].Results Of these 294 603 subjects,17 105(5.81%)had fatty liver.After having been age-adjusted based on the results of the sixth national census in 2010,the standardized prevalence was 5.32%.The prevalence was significantly higher in males(6.76%;standardized prevalence:7.24%)than in females(5.09%;standardized prevalence:4.08%)( χ 2 =365.814, P <0.001)。The prevalence of fatty liver disease was significantly higher in people with current smokers(8.52%)/ex-smokers(8.89%),occasional alcohol users(6.79%)/regular alcohol users(10.51%)/daily alcohol users(10.62%),and patients with hypertension(12.14%)/diabetes(15.19%)/coronary heart disease(10.22%)than those without corresponding characteristics(all P <0.001).Abnormal increase in body mass index,diastolic blood pressure,FPG,TG,TC,and ALT were risk factors for fatty liver in Logistic regression model.Conclusions The prevalence of fatty liver in adults is relatively low in Mianyang City.Patients with fatty liver usually have varying degrees of abnormal increase in blood lipids,blood glucose,blood pressure,and ALT.Healthy lifestyles and comprehensively assessment of metabolic status are conducive to the prevention and treatment of fatty liver and extrahepatic complications.

Objective To investigate the college students'awareness of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and its influencial factors in universities implementing "Red Ribbon in Colleges" event.Methods A multistage random sampling method was used to select 2057 students from 8 universities. Among them,1977 students were surveyed by quantitative questionnaires and 80 students were interviewed qualitatively. SPSS 24.0 software was used for data processing and analysis.Results A total of 1977 students was investigated,among whom the overall awareness rate of AIDS-related knowledge was 88.21%. The awareness rate of the three major routes of AIDS transmission (i.e. sexual transmission,blood transmission,and mother-to-child transmission) were more than 90%,and the awareness rate of "Can mosquito bites spread AIDS" was lowest (72.99%). The awareness rate of AIDS-related knowledge was significantly higher among students who had attended the "Red Ribbon in Colleges" event (95.36%,P<0.001),followed by those who had received AIDS prevention education as a freshman (92.22%,P<0.001),had filled in AIDS prevention questionnaires (91.42%,P<0.001),and had attended other AIDS-related health education events in schools or colleges (91.36%,P<0.001),and the differences were statistically significant when compared with students who had not attended any of these events. Multivariate unconditional Logistic regression analysis showed that attending the "Red Ribbon in Colleges" event (OR=2.973,95%CI=1.684-5.249,P<0.001),receiving AIDS prevention education as a freshman (OR=2.944,95%CI=2.073-4.181,P<0.001),attending other AIDS-related health education in schools or colleges (OR=1.590,95%CI=1.141-2.217,P=0.006),majoring in engineering disciplines (OR=2.756,95%CI=1.846-4.114,P<0.001),junior students (OR=1.916,95%CI=1.216-3.020,P=0.005),living in central China (OR=1.868,95%CI=1.085-3.218,P=0.024),and living in northern China (OR=1.774,95%CI=1.159-2.716,P=0.008) were favourable factors for high awareness rate. Qualitative analysis indicated that students rated highly of the "Red Ribbon in Colleges" event.Conclusion The "Red Ribbon in Colleges" event and other AIDS education programs help to increase the college students'awareness of AIDS-related knowledge.

Background: The purpose of our study was to compare the incidence of chromosomal abnormalities of fetuses with isolated fetal ventriculomegaly (VM) to that of fetuses with the sole risk factor of being born to mothers of advanced age., Method: This prospective study included two groups. Group 1 included fetuses with isolated VM and were further categorized according to maternal age, fetal gender, laterality of VM (unilateral or bilateral), evolution of VM (resolved or persistent or progressive), and the gestational age at the time of diagnosis (<28w or ≥28w). Group 2 were fetuses without any fetal structural abnormality, but maternal age was at or over 35 years., Result: Eighteen fetuses (18/231, 7.8%) with chromosomal abnormalities were identified for Group 1, and 13 fetuses (13/782, 1.7%) were identified for Group 2. When cases with mothers of advanced age were excluded from Group 1, the incidence of chromosomal abnormalities of isolated VM fetuses age was 7.2%, which is still higher than that of normal structural fetuses in mothers of advanced age (p < 0.001)., Conclusion: The risk of chromosomal abnormalities for fetuses with isolated VM is high, especially when it is severe, bilateral, the first presence occurs in mid-gestation and is not resolved., (© 2018 The Authors. ICP-MS was used to determine the contents of five heavy metals such as lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), arsenic (As) and copper (Cu) in Chrysanthemum indicum and soil samples. Pearson correlation and path analysis were used to analyze the effects of latitude and longitude and altitude on the content of heavy metal elements in Ch. indicum. To explore the relationship between geographical location of heavy metal content in Ch. indicum and the content of heavy metal elements in soil. The results showed that the Ch. indicum had high enrichment of Cd and had a synergistic effect on the absorption of five heavy metal elements. Elevation directly affected the accumulation of Pb and Cd in Ch. indicum and was a positive effect. The direct positive effect of latitude acts on the accumulation of Hg and Cu in Ch. indicum. The effect of longitude on the Cd content was the negative effect of longitude. The geographical location had different effects on the accumulation of heavy metal elements in Ch. indicum. There was a certain interaction between direct and indirect effects. Ch. indicum had different absorption and enrichment characteristics for different heavy metal species. When controlling the heavy metal content and medicinal material quality of Ch. indicum, we must fully consider the influence of geographical location on the quality of medicinal materials, select suitable geographic regions to carry out acquisitions, and choose a good ecological environment. Background: With the elderly population comprising an increasing large proportion of society, a valid and reliable measure of social health in the elderly is indispensable for a comprehensive health assessment. The objective of this study is to develop a Social Health Scale for the Elderly (SHSE)., Methods: A draft scale was generated based on a literature review and expert surveys. Pilot testing was conducted from December 14, 2015, to January 8, 2016. Some items were removed after assessment with five statistical analysis methods. Field testing began on November 6, 2016, and ended on January 20, 2017. After field testing, the reliability and validity of the scale were assessed and the norms in Hangzhou were calculated., Results: In the two tests, 430 and 2404 subjects were included in the statistical analyses. The long form of the SHSE (SHSE-L) contained 25 items, 14 of which were also in the short form (SHSE-S). The internal consistency of the SHSE-L was acceptable. The test-rest reliability and inter-rater reliability were moderate, but the concurrent validity, construct validity, and convergent and discriminant validity were desirable in both versions. The standard and percentile rank norms in Hangzhou, China were developed based on the field testing data., Conclusions: The population-based social health of the Chinese elderly can be validly and reliably assessed with the SHSE.

By using the airborne hyperspectral remote sensing data of Liangshui National Nature Reserve in Yichun of Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China, 15 spectral parameters including red edge area, triangular vegetation index, and normalized difference vegetation index, etc. were extracted, and in combining with 5 geographical parameters including slope, aspect, elevation, canopy density and total vegetation coverage, and by using SPAD-502, the vegetation canopy's relative chlorophyll content in the reserve were measured, with the correlations of the leaf spectral reflectivity, its first-order derivative and other deformations with the SPAD value analyzed. A prediction model for relative chlorophyll content was established by adopting the kernel-based partial least-squares regression, and a quantitative estimation of the vegetation canopy's relative chlorophyll content in the study area was carried out with the established model. The results showed that the model performed best when the sections were three and the principle components were ten. The co-efficient of determination of the model was R2 = 0.855, the mean absolute percent error was 9.6%, and the prediction precision was 89.7%.
