In the conservation and development of traditional villages, it is vital to delineate reasonable village boundaries. At present, China's traditional village boundaries are mainly defined through the boundaries of village construction land in its land policy. This approach ignores the "natural" state of traditional village boundaries and does not truly reflect villagers' use of their villages. Using the constituent line segments of traditional village boundaries as parameters, we delineate a series of traditional village boundaries and constructed an assessment system for traditional village boundaries in terms of the convenience of villagers' activities and their habitual use of village space. We used the delineation of the boundary of Haishangqiao village in the Yiluo River Basin in China as an example to test the effectiveness of the traditional village boundary delineation method and assessment system. The results show the following: (1) The virtual line segments connecting the buildings on the traditional village boundary are the main factors affecting the delineation of the traditional village boundary. (2) The amplitude of vibration and the global deviation of traditional village boundaries are the main influencing factors of complexity. (3) The complexity of traditional village boundaries is negatively correlated with the convenience of villagers' activities. (4) The complexity of traditional village boundaries is negatively correlated with the emptiness of the internal space of traditional villages. The district heating area in China is continuously increasing, which brings an increase in district heating load. In order to solve the shortage of heating power and realize the carbon neutral target, this study proposes two retrofit schemes for district heating system by integrating air source heat pump and water source heat pump, respectively. Mathematical models are established to study the performance of the integrated systems and a bilevel optimization model is proposed to optimize them. The results show that the air source heat pump combined district heating system has better performance compared to the conventional system, which reduces 50% energy consumption, 10.8% carbon emissions and achieves better economy. The dynamic coupling property of the district heating network and power grid are also considered, and the results indicate that the introduction of air source heat pump can effectively improve the efficiency and stability of power grid and reduce the seasonal fluctuation. The potential of large-scale application of air source heat pump combined system in Beijing is evaluated. The results reveal that retrofit scheme of integrating air source heat pumps into district heating system can cover 2930 MW heating load and bring 362 million Chinese Yuan profit by reducing 219,000 tons of carbon emissions and 539,000 tons of standard coal consumption in 2025. Simple Summary: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains one of the most common malignancies worldwide. Despite significant progress in the comprehensive management of HCC, continued efforts are still necessary to identify prognostic assessment approaches for patient-specific survival so that more appropriate treatment and management regimens can be proposed for different HCC subpopulations. Here, we comprehensively exploited the expression characteristics of 12 SRSF family members across multiple datasets. We further identified an SRSF score consisting of 18 SRSF-related genes which were associated with overall survival and drug sensitivity in HCC. Moreover, the predictive power of the SRSF score was validated in independent HCC cohorts and different HCC subgroups. We further explored the effect of SRSF11 expression on HCC cell proliferation and drug sensitivity. Overall, our study provides a novel predictive model to assess the prognosis and drug sensitivity of HCC. The serine/arginine-rich splicing factors (SRSF)-mediated alternative splicing plays an essential role in the occurrence and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the SRSF-based signature that can predict the prognosis and therapy efficiency is yet to be investigated in HCC. Here, we comprehensively assessed the landscape and prognostic significance of the SRSF family genes in HCC. Then, we screened the SRSF family-related genes for signature construction and explored their biological characteristics. We further established an SRSF score consisting of 18 SRSF-associated genes and evaluated its correlation with prognosis and drug sensitivity in HCC. The predictive power of the SRSF score was validated in independent HCC cohorts and different HCC subgroups. Moreover, we further investigated that knockdown of SRSF11, a pivotal gene in the SRSF score, inhibited CDK1-dependent proliferation and enhanced the drug sensitivity of HCC cells. Overall, our study identified a novel SRSF family-based predictive model, and we demonstrated that SRSF11 is a promising therapeutic target for HCC, which enhances our understanding of the SRSF family genes and provides valuable insights into the clinical treatment and molecular mechanisms of HCC. Background: Adolescent DanceSport athletes who regularly dance in high heels have a higher possibility of developing hallux valgus deformity and foot pain. We believe that the occurrence of foot disorders may change the loading on their feet, which thus affects the athletic performance of those adolescents. Methods: A total of 63 adolescent DanceSport athletes (16 boys, 47 girls) were included. The plantar pain in the first metatarsophalangeal (1st MTP) joint was evaluated using a questionnaire, and the hallux valgus angle was evaluated using digital photographs (HVAp). The loading values of the plantar pressure while performing relève on demi-pointe were measured using sensor sheets. The participating boys and girls were analyzed separately. Results: The results showed that female adolescent DanceSport athletes with the 1st MTP joint plantar pain showed a decrease in the loading distribution and plantar pressure percentage on the hallux and an increased loading distribution and pressure distribution of the metatarsal head as the HVAp increased. Conclusion: Among adolescent DanceSport athletes with plantar pain in the 1st MTP joint and a large HVAp, the loading manner of the foot may have changed, which may be associated with a decrease in the toe function and performance. Background: Anhui Province is currently facing an increase in imported malaria cases as a result of globalization and international travel. In response, Anhui Province has implemented a comprehensive adaptive framework to effectively address this threat., Methods: This study collected surveillance data from 2012 to 2022 in Anhui Province. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the epidemiological characteristics of imported malaria cases. Additionally, multivariate logistic regression was employed to identify factors associated with severe malaria. Documents were reviewed to document the evolution of the adaptive framework designed to combat imported malaria. The effectiveness of the adaptive framework was evaluated based on the rates of timely medical visits, timely diagnosis, and species identification., Results: During the study period, a total of 1008 imported malaria cases were reported across 77 out of 105 counties in Anhui Province, representing a coverage of 73.33%. It was found that 10.52% of imported cases went undiagnosed for more than seven days after onset. The multivariate analysis revealed several potential risk factors for severe malaria, including increasing age (OR = 1.049, 95%CI:1.015-1.083), occupation (waitperson vs. worker, OR = 2.698, 95%CI:1.054-6.906), a longer time interval between onset and the initial medical visit (OR = 1.061, 95%CI:1.011-1.114), and misdiagnosis during the first medical visit (OR = 5.167, 95%CI:2.535-10.533). Following the implementation of the adaptive framework, the rates of timely medical visits, timely diagnosis, and species identification reached 100.00%, 78.57%, and 100.00%, respectively., Conclusions: Anhui Province has successfully developed and implemented an adaptive framework for addressing imported malaria, focusing on robust surveillance, prompt diagnosis, and standardized treatment. We examined the relationship between city size and environmental efficiency and found sequential growth of environmental efficiency in 282 Chinese cities from 2003 to 2019 and also tested the mechanism of industrial transfer. The empirical results show that as the period advances, the relationship between the environmental efficiency of cities and the city size changes from an upward-sloping straight line to a "U-shaped" structure, indicating that the urbanization advantages of megacities are shifting to large or medium-sized cities. This shift is the result of the industrial transfer. The government should refrain from excessive market interventions in industrial shifts. Simultaneously, it should facilitate population mobility in large cities and enhance public services for medium-sized cities. Based on the panel data of 281 prefecture-level cities in China, from 2007 to 2017, we empirically explore the co-benefits of the carbon emissions trading scheme. We found that the carbon emissions trading scheme effectively achieved the coordinated control of carbon dioxide and air pollutants, by improving the green production level of the pilot areas, reducing the regional industrial output, and promoting the upgrading of the industrial structure. In terms of heterogeneity, the emissions trading scheme shows obvious urban location and level heterogeneity, in terms of coordinated control. The synergistic emission reduction effects of eastern and central cities are significantly better than those of cities in central and western regions and non-central cities. It has also had positive spillover effects on the surrounding cities of the pilot areas, but pollution levels in farther areas may have increased due to possible "pollution shelter problems".

Introduction: It's widely reported the "writer" enzymes mediated RNA adenosine modifications which is known as a crucial mechanism of epigenetic regulation in development of tumor and the immunologic response in many kinds of cancers. However, the potential roles of these writer genes in the progression of bladder cancer (BLCA) remain unclear., Materials and Methods: We comprehensively described the alterations of 26 RNA modification writer genes in BLCA from the genetic and transcriptional fields and identified writer-related genes from four independent datasets. Utilizing least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression and multivariate Cox regression, we constructed a ten writer-related gene signature. After that, we confirmed the predictive and prognostic value of this signature on another six independent datasets and established a nomogram to forecast the overall survival (OS) and mortality odds of BLCA patients clinically., Results: The writer-related genes signature showed good performance in predicting the OS for BLCA patients. Moreover, the writer-related gene signature was related to EMT-related pathways and immune characteristics. Furthermore, the immune cell infiltration levels of CD8 T cells, cytotoxic cells, M1/2 macrophage cells and tumor mutation burden might be able to predict which patients will benefit from immunotherapy. This could also be reflected by the writer-related gene signature., Conclusions: This signature might play an important role in precision individualized immunotherapy.
