Japanese companies are showing a decreased interest in expanding their business in China, according to a survey by the Japan External Trade Organization. Only 27.7% of the 710 firms surveyed said they plan to increase their presence in China in the next one to two years, the lowest percentage since comparable records began in 2007. The waning interest is attributed to a cloudy economic outlook, decreased sales, and geopolitical risks. In contrast, a higher number of Japanese firms are planning to expand in India and Brazil due to increased demand for cars and other products. [Extracted from the article]
