Background: This study conducted a survey of men who have sex with men (MSM) in Maanshan City of Anhui Province to assess the risk behaviors related to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted from June 2016 to June 2019. The MSM were recruited by a peer-driven sampling method. A face-to-face interview with anonymous questionnaire was used for data collection. The information collected by the survey was summarized and epidemiology described the basic characteristics of MSM, and then the related factors were statistically analyzed. Results: A total of 934 MSM were recruited with a average age was 30.5 (SD = 8.90) years old, including 816 (87.4%) HIV negative participants and 118 (12.6%) HIV positive ones. This study showed that freelancer (OR = 4.02, 95% CI: 1.96–8.23), scope of sexual partners distribution (OR = 1.78, 95% CI: 1.36–2.33), number of male sexual partners (OR = 2.11, 95% CI: 1.47–3.02), role of anal sex with men was receptive (OR = 2.54, 95% CI: 1.25–5.13) and versatile (OR = 2.34, 95% CI: 1.31–4.19) and non-steady sex partners (OR = 2.14, 95% CI: 1.56–2.93) were risk factors for HIV infection, while monthly income (OR = 0.68, 95% CI: 0.57–0.82), education level (OR = 0.79, 95% CI: 0.66–0.95), frequency of condom use (OR = 0.53, 95% CI: 0.35–0.81) and number of oral sex partners (OR = 0.35, 95% CI: 0.24–0.51) in the past 6 months were protective factors for HIV infection. Conclusion: Risk behaviors were common in MSM, and urgent need for targeted and comprehensive interventions to reduce risky sexual behaviour and to prevent HIV infection in MSM. Background. Recently, increasing studies have revealed that leptin is involved in the development of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This study is aimed at exploring the association of leptin gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with susceptibility to RA in a Chinese population. Methods. We recruited 600 RA patients and 600 healthy controls from a Chinese population and analyzed their three leptin SNPs (rs10244329, rs2071045, and rs2167270) using the improved Multiplex Ligase Detection Reaction (iMLDR) assays. The associations of these SNPs with clinical manifestations of RA were also analyzed. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was performed for plasma leptin determination. Results. No significant difference in either allele or genotype frequencies of these three SNPs between RA patients and healthy controls was observed (all P > 0.05). Association between the genotype effects of dominant, recessive models was also not found (all P > 0.05). No significant difference in plasma leptin levels was detected between RA patients and controls (P > 0.05). Conclusion. Objective. To compare the prevalence of HIV and associated factors for participating HIV voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) among older clients of female sex workers (CFSWs) in Liuzhou City and Fuyang City in China. Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted and the study employed 978 male CFSWs, aged 50 years and above from October 2016 to December 2017. All participants were required to complete a questionnaire and provide blood samples for HIV testing. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influential factors of using VCT program and tested for HIV. Results. The HIV infection prevalence rate was 1.2% and 0.5%, while 52.3% and 54.6% participants had ever utilized VCT service and tested for HIV in Liuzhou City and Fuyang City, respectively. The older CFSWs who ever heard of VCT program were more likely to uptake VCT program in both cities ( OR Liuzhou = 2.224 , OR Fuyang = 2.421). Participants, whose marital status was married or cohabiting ( OR Liuzhou = 0.548 , OR Fuyang = 0.495), who have stigma against individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS ( OR Liuzhou = 0.273 , OR Fuyang = 0.371), whose monthly income is more than 500 yuan ( OR Liuzhou = 0.622 , OR Fuyang = 0.600), and whose age is more than 60 years old ( OR Liuzhou = 0.639 , OR Fuyang = 0.554), were less likely to visit VCT clinics. Those who are worried about HIV-infected participants were more likely to utilize VCT services in Fuyang City (AOR = 1.838 , 95 % CI : 1.146 ‐ 2.948). Conclusion. [Display omitted] • Plant succession has been analyzed using a spatially substituted temporal approach. • The composition and diversity of species change with succession. • The trend in species diversity is consistent with the medium-term theory of species richness. • Variations in microhabitats and species competition lead to species change during succession. Research into species composition and diversity in forest systems with successional stages can provide a scientific basis for optimal allocation and regulation of community structure. However, it is unclear how succession in arid and semi-arid forests changes the composition and diversity of species. The present study analyzed how species composition and diversity within successional gradients in arid and semi-arid areas of China evolved based on a spatially substituted temporal approach and identified the key factors influencing community composition and species diversity. Study findings have shown that species composition and life forms differ greatly between and among successional stages. In contrast, species richness is significantly lower in late-successional stages than in mid-successional stages. In the α-diversity, Shannon-Wiener diversity and Margalef richness reached an apex in the middle of the succession. At the same time, Pielou evenness and Simpson dominance did not change significantly over time. Except for Margalef richness, the α-diversity of different life forms throughout the successional gradient was consistent. The results of the β-diversity analysis indicate that the species turnover process has occurred during succession. It is evident that communities located at adjacent successional stages have high similarities in species composition. However, the loss or renewal of species was more advanced in the early and late stages, and the differences between communities were more evident. The main reasons for this can be attributed to differences in microhabitats (precipitation and temperature) and competition among species in various successional stages. It has been demonstrated that species diversity changes considerably in dry forest ecosystems as the ecosystem progresses through different stages of development. The objective of this study was to investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of HIV infection among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Hefei, China. A total of 578 MSM were recruited, with a mean age of 28.13 ± 6.91; 70.7% were under 30. The awareness rate was 95.4% (560/587) in the cross-sectional study. Of all the respondents, 73 (12.44%) were seropositive for HIV and 56 (9.54%) for syphilis. Multivariate analysis showed that self-reported sexually transmitted infections (STIs) (AOR = 8.02, 95% CI: 2.58-24.98, P < 0.001), received HIV testing in the past year (AOR = 0.33, 95% CI: 0.19-0.60, P < 0.001) and syphilis (AOR = 3.40, 95% CI: 1.69- 6.85, P = 0.001) were independently associated with HIV infection. It is necessary for post-test counselling to address risk among those who engage in sexual risk behaviours. More efforts are needed to enhance HIV/STI testing and treatment services in China. Stigma is a common problem among people living with HIV/ AIDS ( PLWHA). However, little is known about HIV/ AIDS-related stigma in older PLWHA over the age of 50. This study described the stigma of HIV/ AIDS and its factors based on 120 PLWHA aged 50 or older in an area of high HIV prevalence in south rural China. Each participant completed a face-to-face questionnaire that collected information on demographic characteristics, AIDS-related events and experience of HIV/ AIDS-related stigma. Finally, only 18.1% reported experiencing external stigma compared with 64.3% feeling internal stigma. Regression analysis indicated that social support and health status were the two variables that were significantly predictive of both external and internal stigma. Whatever, the more support were received from family members by PLWHA, the less external stigma was perceived. Negative marital situation was also related to external stigma. Reducing HIV/ AIDS stigma requires a supportive environment, positive attitude and correct knowledge of AIDS. Health workers and policy makers should take practical approaches to reduce prejudice. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a severe complex rheumatic disease, but good estimate of its prevalence and risk factors is lacking in China. The aim of the study was to explore the prevalence of SLE and risk factors in rural areas of Anhui Province of China. Eleven counties were randomly selected in Anhui Province, and then, 15 % of the villages in selected counties were randomly sampled as study sites. Patients with SLE were identified through two phases. Based on the cases identified, a population-based case-control study was designed to examine risk factors associated with SLE. A total of 1,253,832 individuals and identified 471 SLE cases were surveyed. Crude and age-standardized prevalence were estimated at 37.56 and 36.03 per 100,000 persons, respectively. Gender difference in the prevalence of SLE was significant ( P = 4.62 × 10), and the age-standardized prevalence was 6.17 for males and 67.78 for females per 100,000 persons. The distribution of SLE prevalence was significant by age group ( P = 1.78 × 10), and the peak prevalence was observed at 40-50 years. Multiple environmental factors were associated with SLE, including birth conditions, sweet food, cooking oil, taste, fruit consumption, sunlight exposure, quality of sleep, physical activities, drinking water, residence, negative life events, hepatitis B vaccine, age of menarche, and age at birth of first child ( P < 0.05). Our large population-based epidemiological survey estimated the prevalence of SLE at 37.56 per 100,000 persons. Multiple environmental factors were associated with the development of SLE. Background and Objectives: To evaluate the association between anthropometric parameter of obesity and newly diagnosed hyperuricemia (HUA) in a general Chinese population.Methods and Study Design: A population- based cross-sectional survey included 9 615 participants (3777 men and 5838 women) aged 35-74 years in 2006 and 2009 in Qingdao, China. The multivariate linear regression was used to assess the linear associations between anthropometric parameter of obesity [body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR)] and serum uric acid. The logistic regression model was performed to estimate the associations between BMI, WC, WHR and newly diagnosed HUA.Results: The prevalence of newly diagnosed HUA was higher in men than in women (19.46% vs 11.34%, p<0.05). Multivariate liner regression showed that BMI, WC and WHR were positively correlated with serum uric acid. Multivariate logistic regression revealed that being overweight [men, odds ratios (OR): 1.69, 95% confidence intervals (95% CI): 1.37-2.08; women, OR: 1.67, 95% CI: 1.34-2.09] and obese (men, OR: 3.01, 95% CI: 2.38-3.79; women, OR: 2.91, 95% CI: 2.31-3.67) were significantly associated with a higher risk of newly diagnosed HUA. Abdominal obesity (WC: men, OR: 2.26, 95% CI: 1.88-2.73; women, OR: 1.96, 95% CI: 1.61-2.39; WHR: men, OR: 1.91, 95% CI: 1.61-2.26; women, OR: 1.39, 95% CI: 1.16-1.67) were associated with an increased risk of newly diagnosed HUA.Conclusions: This study demonstrated that BMI, WC and WHR were positively correlated with serum uric acid in both genders. Concerns are growing about the adverse health effects of ambient temperature and ambient temperature changes. However, the association between ambient temperature and ambient temperature changes on the risk of warts outpatient visits is poorly understood. Our study used the distributed lag non-linear model (DLNM) aimed to evaluate the association between ambient temperature, ambient temperature changes (including temperature change between neighboring days (TCN) and diurnal temperature range (DTR)), and warts outpatient visits. We also performed subgroup analyses in order to find susceptible populations by gender and age groups. The maximum relative risk (RR) of low ambient temperature (0 °C) for warts outpatient visits was 1.117 (95% CI: 1.041-1.198, lag 04 days), and the maximum RR of high ambient temperature (32 °C) for warts outpatient visits was 1.318 (95% CI: 1.083-1.605, lag 07 days). The large temperature drop (TCN =  - 3 °C) decreased the risk of warts visits, with the lowest RR value at the cumulative exposure of lag 7 days (RR = 0.888, 95% CI: 0.822-0.959), and the large temperature rise (TCN = 2 °C) increased the risk of warts visits, with the highest RR value at the cumulative exposure of lag 7 days (RR = 1.080, 95% CI: 1.022-1.142). Overall, both low and high ambient temperatures and large temperature rise can increase the risk of warts visits, while large temperature drop is a protective factor for warts visits. However, we did not find any association between DTR and warts visits. Furthermore, subgroup analyses showed that males and the young (0-17 years old) were more sensitive to low and high ambient temperatures, and the elderly (≥ 65 years old) were more susceptible to TCN. Topographic features impact the riparian landscape, which shapes reservoir ecosystems. We know little about ecological network parameter (ENP) responses to topographical features (riparian width, stream-channel width, slope, and elevation) from three land-use areas (rural, urban, and rural-urban transitional) in larger dams and reservoirs globally. This study used a field-based approach with 305 transects on an inundated area of 58,000 km 2 inside the Three Gorges Dam Reservoir (TGDR) in China. We discovered that topographical features influenced ENPs differently, involving parameters of plant cover, regeneration, exotics, erosion, habitat, and stressors. As per the Pearson correlation (p < 0.05), riparian width had the most significant effect on transitional ENPs and the least impact on urban ENPs. Riparian width showed the most important influence on the parameters of exotics (with r ≤ -0.44) and erosion (r ≤ 0.56). In contrast, stream-channel widths had the greatest effect on rural ENPs and the least on urban and transitional ENPs. The erosion parameters were the most affected (r ≤ -0.26) by stream width. The slope showed relationships with the fewest ENPs in all three areas and influenced the stress (with a range of -0.51

Chinese goats are an important group of goats worldwide. However, there are few studies on the conservation priority, genetic relationship, and potential gene flow between Chinese and global goat breeds. Here, we genotyped 239 goats from conservation populations of the Chinese Guangfeng and Ganxi breeds using the GoatSNP50 BeadChip. The conservation priority, population structure, selection signatures and introgression of these goats were analyzed in the context of 36 global goat breeds. First, we showed that Guangfeng and Ganxi goats had the largest effective population sizes across the global breeds 13 generations ago. Nevertheless, Ganxi goats have recently experienced a high degree of inbreeding, resulting in their conservation priority based on total gene and allelic diversities being lower than that of most other Chinese breeds (including Guangfeng goats). Population structure and admixture analyses showed that an average of 18% of Guangfeng genomic components were introgressed from Boer goats approximately 18-yr ago. Next, we reconstructed the subfamily structure of the core populations of Guangfeng and Ganxi goats, and proposed reasonable conservation strategies for inbreeding management. Moreover, a list of candidate genes under selection for fertility, immunity, growth, and meat quality were detected in Guangfeng and Ganxi goats. Finally, we identified some genes related to body development and reproduction, which were introgressed from Boer goats and may be beneficial for improving performance and productivity of Guangfeng goats. In conclusion, this study not only provides new insights into the conservation and utilization of Guangfeng and Ganxi goats but also enriches our understanding of artificial introgression from exotic goats into Chinese local goats., (© The Author(s) 2022. Objective: An increasing number of studies have demonstrated the roles of adipokines in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). We aimed to investigate the association of genetic variations of omentin-1, adiponectin, and resistin with SLE susceptibility., Methods: We selected 623 SLE patients and 665 normal controls in the present study. Genotyping of omentin-1 rs2274907, rs35779394, rs79209815, and rs13376023; adiponectin rs16861194 and rs266729; and resistin rs1862513, rs3745368, and rs3745367 was conducted by TaqMan SNP genotyping assays., Results: Overall, we found no significant differences in the allele or genotype frequencies of the nine studied SNPs between the SLE patients and controls. However, an increased frequency of the resistin rs3745368 variant was observed in the SLE patients under the dominant model (P = 0.024). In omentin-1, the rs13376023 A allele was found to be related to oral ulcers in SLE patients (P = 0.013), and the rs35779394 C and rs13376023 A allele frequencies were significantly lower in SLE patients with BMI ≥ 24 kg/m 2 (P = 0.019, P = 0.033, respectively). For resistin, the frequencies of the rs3745368 AA genotype and A allele were lower in SLE patients with discoid rash (P = 0.036, P = 0.011), and the rs3745368 A allele frequency was higher in SLE patients with lupus nephritis (P = 0.018). The resistin rs3745367 AA genotype and A allele frequencies were related to the occurrence of renal disorder in SLE patients (P = 0.024, P = 0.009). The haplotype analysis showed that the CGA haplotype of resistin was associated with susceptibility to SLE (P = 0.005). No significant associations of plasma omentin-1, adiponectin or resistin levels with their respective genotypes were found in SLE patients., Conclusions: In summary, omentin-1, adiponectin and resistin SNPs are not associated with the genetic background of SLE in Chinese patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of interleukin (IL)-10 gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in a Chinese population. 848 SLE patients and 461 normal controls were recruited in this study. Nine SNPs in IL-10 gene (rs1518110, rs1518111, rs1554286, rs1800890, rs1800893, rs3024493, rs3024495, rs3024498 and rs6667202) were genotyped using TaqMan genotyping assays on Fluidigm 192.24 system. The frequency of IL-10 rs3024498-C allele was significantly higher in patient group compared with control subjects (OR=5.118, 95% CI=1.819-14.405, P=0.002). No significant differences were detected for the distribution of allele and genotype frequencies of other eight SNPs between patients with SLE and controls after Bonferroni correction (all P>0.0056). Interestingly, significant differences were detected both in the allele and genotype frequencies of rs3024498 between SLE patients with and without arthritis (P=0.002, P=0.022, respectively).There was significant difference in genotype frequency at rs3024498 between SLE patients with and without malar rash (P=0.040). And, there was significant difference in allele frequency at rs3024498 between SLE patients with and without anti-double-stranded DNA (P=0.032). Meanwhile, significant difference in genotype frequency at rs1518110 and rs1518111 were found in patients with and without lupus headache (P=0.025, P=0.038, respectively). There were significant difference in allele and genotype frequency at rs1800890 and rs6667202 between SLE patients with and without thrombocytopenia (rs1800890: P=0.016, P=0.026, respectively; rs6667202: P=0.007, P=0.007, respectively). Further, significant difference were observed both in allele frequency and in genotype distribution of rs1800893 between patients with and without tubular urine and proteinuria (tubular urine: P<0.001, P=0.003, respectively; proteinuria: P=0.001, P=0.018, respectively). Objective: This study aimed to investigate the impact of apolipoprotein E 4 (APOE4) gene polymorphisms on the expressions of inflammatory factors and the progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD)., Methods: A total of 185 AD patients (the case group, 130 cases from the Han ethnic group and 55 cases from the She ethnic group) and 190 healthy individuals (the control group, 130 cases from the Han ethnic group and 60 cases from the She ethnic group) were recruited for our study. Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) was conducted to detect APOE4 genotype and allele frequency. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to determine the expressions of inflammatory factors in plasma., Results: In both Han and She populations, the frequency of ε3/4 and ε4/4 genotypes and the ε4 allele was significantly higher in the case group than that in the control group. ε3/4 and ε4/4 genotypes and the ε4 allele were the risk factors for AD. In both Han and She populations, the ε2/4, ε3/4 and ε4/4 carriers showed increased levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β when compared with the ε2/2 + ε2/3 + ε3/3 carriers. The TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β levels were higher in the ε4/4 carriers than those in the ε2/4 and ε3/4 carriers, and ε2/4, ε3/4 and ε4/4 carriers in the case group exhibited increased levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β when compared with the control group (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that the ε3/4 genotype and TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β levels were associated with the susceptibility to AD in the Han population, while ε3/4 and ε4/4 genotypes and TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β levels were related to the susceptibility to AD in the She population., Conclusions: The APOE4 ε4 allele may enhance susceptibility to AD and promotes the expressions of inflammatory factors in AD., (Copyright © 2017. While highly active antiretroviral therapy has been successful in delaying progression into AIDS, late HIV diagnosis remains a major contributor to the mortality and morbidity of AIDS. An epidemiological study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence and factors of late diagnosis and the characteristics of those individuals with late diagnosis in Liuzhou city. Patients with late diagnosis were defined as either those who were diagnosed with AIDS at the time of HIV diagnosis or as those who developed AIDS no more than 1 year after HIV diagnosis. Of 899 participants, 72.6% had a late diagnosis. Common characteristics of those who experienced late diagnosis included older participants, those who were unexpectedly diagnosed while seeking other medical attention, participants who believed they could not acquire HIV from their regular heterosexual partners, those who never considered getting tested for HIV, and patients with unexplained weight loss, angular cheilitis, or prolonged fever prior to HIV diagnosis. On the other hand, those participants who were diagnosed via testing at compulsory rehabilitation centers and those whose annual household income was greater than 30,000 Yuan were less likely to be diagnosed late. These results suggested that late HIV diagnosis is common in Liuzhou city, and it is essential to promote appropriate strategies to detect HIV infections earlier. Strategies that require HIV/AIDS patients to notify their spouse/sexual-partners about their HIV-positive results within one month and start provider-initiated HIV testing and counseling in medical facilities are beneficial to earlier HIV diagnosis., (© 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.)

To evaluate the incidence and risk factors for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) seroconversion of HIV-negative partners among HIV-discordant couples in Liuzhou, China, 1854 eligible HIV-serodiscordant couples were retrospectively identified through the HIV epidemiology and follow-up database from January 1, 1996 to June 30, 2013. Cox proportional-hazards model was used to examine risk factors related to HIV seroconversion of negative partners. Finally, 125 HIV seroconversion occurred over 4963.5 person-years, resulting in an overall HIV incidence of 2.52/100 person-years. HIV-positive partners with the last CD4 counts of 350 cells/ul or more were significantly protected against HIV seroconversion compared with those CD4 counts of less than 200 cells/ul (aHR = 0.46, 95% CI: 0.27-0.81, P < 0.01). Men with HIV-positive wives (aHR: 1.96, 95% CI: 1.27-3.02, P < 0.01), HIV-positive partners who did not receive ART before their HIV-negative partners' seroconversion (aHR: 2.22, 95% CI, 1.41-3.51, P < 0.01) and patients reported intermittent condom use (aHR: 7.60, 95% CI, 4.37-13.21, P < 0.01) were associated with increased risk of HIV seroconversion. HIV-negative partners remain high risk of HIV infection in Liuzhou city. The P2X7 receptor is a ligand-gated cationic channel receptor that is actived by ATP and normally expressed by a variety of immune system cells, including macrophages and lymphocytes. Because it leads to release of IL-1β and cell death by apoptosis or necrosis, it is a potential therapeutic target for a variety of autoimmune inflammatory diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The P2X7R gene is highly polymorphic, and many single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been detected. A case-control study was performed to investigate the associations of SNPs in the P2X7R gene (rs1718119, rs2230911 and rs3751143) with susceptibility to SLE in 535 Chinese SLE patients and 532 controls. Results showed that rs1718119 was associated with SLE; in particular carriers of the A allele and AA/AG/(AG+AA) genotypes were at lower risk of the disease [A versus G, P < 0.001, odds ratio (OR) = 0.543, 95% CI: 0.424-0.697; AG versus GG, P = 0.018, OR = 0.659, 95% CI: 0.466-0.931; AA versus GG, P = 0.011, OR = 0.176, 95% CI: 0.046-0.668; AG+AA versus GG, P = 0.004, OR = 0.607, 95% CI: 0.433-0.850], but no significant differences in rs2230911 and rs3751143 were observed between SLE patients and controls. Stratification of cases for the presence of nephritis showed that rs2230911 G allele and CG/(CG+GG) genotypes were at a lower risk of SLE with nephritis (LN) (G versus C, P = 0.011, OR = 0.640, 95% CI: 0.454-0.903; CG versus CC, P = 0.035, OR = 0.645, 95% CI: 0.429-0.970; GG versus CC, P = 0.101, OR = 0.349, 95% CI: 0.099-1.228; CG+GG versus CC, P = 0.015 OR = 0.612, 95% CI: 0.411-0.910), but rs1718119 and rs3751143 were not associated with LN. Analysis of the haplotypes revealed one haplotype (ACA) that appeared to be a significantly 'protective' haplotype (P = 0.009, OR = 0.708, 95% CI: 0.546-0.918) with SLE. The findings suggest that the P2X7R gene might contribute to SLE susceptibility in the Chinese population.

Objective: To explore the relationships between quality of life, negative life events, social support and suicide ideation among undergraduates in colleges., Methods: 3517 undergraduates in colleges were recruited by multistage stratified random clustered sampling method. Factors associated with suicide ideation were analyzed with logistic regression by scores of Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation(BSSI), Generic Quality of Life Inventory (GQOLI), Adolescent Self-rate Life Events Checklist (ASLEC), Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) and a questionnaire on background information., Results: The rate of suicide ideation within 7 days was 14.1%, especially in females (15.96%), with single parent (23.79%) and disabled undergraduates (25.00%). The primary risk factors for suicide ideation were with low psychological function, material life, family/social support, lower availability of support and more negative life events., Conclusion: The prevalence of suicide ideation among these undergraduates was high, appropriate measures focusing on these risk factors should be implemented.
