The COVID-19 pandemic has changed people's lives, with the most prominent change being the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In this study, we used the extended Value-Identity-Personal (VIP) norm model to empirically analyze the influencing factors of Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB) among college students in Xi 'an, China, while considering the usage of PPE as an example of PEB. We proposed nine hypothetical questions, and the VIP model was established through the SmartPLS software to test the valid questionnaires of 414 college students. The verification results indicated that all the nine hypotheses were supported statistically, with personal environmental social responsibility and personal norms showing the most significant direct impact on PEB; notably, personal norms were also strongly influenced by environmental personal social responsibility. Biosphere values affected PEB indirectly, through self-identity and individual norms. This study proposes viable countermeasures and suggestions for college students to improve PEB; our findings can serve as a reference for policymakers and stakeholders to ensure the effective waste management of personal safety equipment. Managing large-scale facilities for storing bulk grain is time-consuming, labour intensive, and often difficult to be thorough. This paper presents a computer algorithm for using temperature data to remotely monitor and inspect stored grain in large bulk storage facilities. The algorithm is based on the analysis of the spatiotemporal distributions of the temperature field in the stored grain. The characteristics and irregularities of the temperature field were analysed to detect changes in grain quantity (inventory) and quality. The algorithm was implemented in computer software and tested on 234,300 sets of temperature data from 592 different grain depots in 10 provinces in China. The average accuracy of correctly identifying grain quality and inventory problems was 94%. • 234,300 sets of temperature data in large grain storage facilities were analysed. • Spatiotemporal distributions of grain temperature were related to grain conditions. • An algorithm was developed to identify grain quality and quantity issues in storage. • The average accuracy of identification of 592 grain storage facilities was 94%. Study Question: Can the density of endometrial glandular openings (DEGO) be a reliable and simple new variable in the prediction of live birth after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis?Summary Answer: The DEGO grade at follow-up hysteroscopy outperforms American Fertility Society (AFS) score in predicting the live birth rate after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis for patients with intrauterine adhesions (IUAs).What Is Known Already: Several methods, such as endometrial thickness and AFS score, have been proposed for predicting the live birth rate in patients with IUAs who undergo hysteroscopic adhesiolysis.Study Design, Size, Duration: A test cohort of 457 patients with IUAs who underwent hysteroscopic adhesiolysis and had satisfactory follow-up hysteroscopy videos were retrospectively enrolled between January 2016 and January 2017. A validation cohort comprising 285 IUA patients was prospectively enrolled from March 2018 to August 2018.Participants/materials, Setting, Methods: An automated counting software tested the follow-up hysteroscopy videos to calculate the DEGO grade of all the 742 patients with IUAs after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis. The AFS score for each patient was also calculated at the same follow-up hysteroscopy. Logistic regression analysis was performed to develop prediction models to predict the live birth rate following hysteroscopic adhesiolysis. The performance of each of these prediction models was compared by calculating the AUC.Main Results and the Role Of Chance: In the test cohort (n = 457), 231 patients had a live birth, but 226 patients failed. In the validation cohort (n = 285), 117 patients had a live birth, while 168 patients did not. The logistic regression analysis revealed that both the DEGO grade and AFS score at follow-up hysteroscopy were closely correlated with the live birth rate in patients with IUAs (P = 0). The AUCs of AFS score and DEGO grade in the test cohort were 0.7112 and 0.8498, respectively (P < 0.0001). Acupuncture is widely used in the clinical treatment of liver cirrhosis (LC) in China. However, the efficacy of acupuncture on LC has not been fully confirmed by systematic analysis. This current meta-analysis evaluated the impact effect of acupuncture on patients with LC. We conducted a systematic literature search of the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, the Chinese Biomedical Database (SinoMed), VIP medicine information system, Wanfang Data, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Embase. Further, we used Review Manager 5.3 software for the analysis of the data and Stata 14.0 software for the Egger test to assess publication bias. Fifteen studies involving 1066 patients were included in the meta-analysis. The primary outcome was the efficacy rate of acupuncture therapy. The secondary outcomes were impact on acupuncture on liver function grading assessment and lab tests related to liver functions. The result suggested that acupuncture is an effective treatment option for patients with LC as a complementary therapy.
