The article presents the clinical diagnosis of the seventy-one year old man from Hong Kong, China, with cutaneous lesion of the left elbow. This had developed after he had pricked by barbed wire on a wooden hill. Based on the examination the patient had an asymptomatic, ulcerative and crusted lesion with purulent discharge. This case of sporotrichosis are localized infections of the skin and subcutaneous tissues.
