In English teaching, developing students' reading habits has been emphasized for its critical role in promoting overall core competencies. However, in practice, many teachers and parents are not informed of the effective approaches to developing good English reading habits, hindering the overall development of students' core competencies. In light of this, an empirical study was carried out to explore the developmental features of students' English reading habits and individual, family and school factors that affect its development. A questionnaire was adopted to collect quantitative data. A total of 2,130 primary and secondary school students from China participated in the study. The results indicated that their English reading habits varied with age and gender. In terms of age, secondary school students, especially middle school students, performed better than primary school students. In terms of gender, females performed better in reading frequency, reading time and ways of reading, while males had a larger reading volume. Reading habits were found to be impacted by individual, school and family factors. Among them, age had the strongest influence on the development of English reading habits. These findings shed light on effective ways to develop English reading habits, especially in foreign-language-learning contexts.

Chinese Tujia folk songs, deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Tujia ethnic group, serve as a living repository of history, values, and traditions. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the historical development of education and cultural literacy in Chinese Tujia working songs in Chongqing. The comprehensive literature review provides insights into the history of the Tujia ethnic group, their musical heritage, and contemporary challenges to preserving their cultural traditions. The research site includes Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, Pengshui Tujia, and Miao Autonomous County, and Qianjiang District. Key informants, including accomplished artists, academic researchers, and local experts, share their invaluable insights related to the preservation and performance of Tujia folk songs. By using the principles of music aesthetics, music ethnology, and ancient Chinese music history. The result of this study underscores the critical importance of preserving intangible cultural heritage, especially in the context of today's rapid modernization and globalization. They highlight those traditional folk songs, like Chinese Tujia working songs, hold immense cultural and historical value. The study also provides actionable recommendations for ensuring the continued vitality of these culturally rich songs. These suggestions can guide efforts to integrate Tujia folk songs into educational curricula, support local musicians and artists, and promote cultural events.

Understanding the intention of community residents to seek help from mental health professionals (MHPs) is essential in targeting interventions that promote the prevention and treatment of depression. This study aimed to investigate the current status of Chinese community populations' depression help-seeking intentions from MHPs and explore factors influencing the intentions. Data were used from a survey conducted in a city in central China (n = 919 aged 38.68 ± 17.34, 72.1% female). Help-seeking intentions, help-seeking attitude, depression stigma, family function and depressive symptoms were measured. The total mean score on the intent to seek help from MHPs was 11.01 ± 7.78 and most of respondents were unwilling to seek professional help. Multiple linear regression showed that participants who were students, held a positive help-seeking attitude and had low personal stigma were more likely to have the intention to seek help from MHPs. It is necessary to utilize effective interventions to improve community residents' intention to seek professional help. These include promoting the importance of seeking professional assistance, optimizing the quality of mental health services and altering residents' prejudice to seeking professional help.

The teaching of foreign students in China has become an important part of online teaching and one of the implementation problems during the epidemic. In order to better understand the online teaching situation and quality of foreign students in China, and to better carry out the online teaching of foreign students in China, this article firstly constructs the online teaching quality evaluation index system based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of online teaching for foreign students in China. Secondly, further uses the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of each index, and finally uses the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to comprehensively evaluate the online teaching quality of foreign students in China. The research results show that the quality of online teaching for foreign students from Zhejiang Province is good. This research provides a model that can be used for reference for the follow-up online teaching of international students in China.

Recent research has primarily focused on the genealogical relationship between ancestral temple painting and its spatial carriers, highlighting a shift in perspective from artistry to symbolism to kinship. While some scholars have noted the influence of ritual culture on architectural painting, few have explored its kinship relationship with architectural carriers. By incorporating relational sociology theory, this study chronologically reviews events influencing the formation of ancestral temple ritual culture, constructs a developmental model, and conducts case studies on the ethicality of architectural painting art, thus establishing a relational sociology analysis framework. Findings: (1) Ancestral temple architectural painting exhibits the ethicality and educational value inherent in Confucian concepts; (2) Themes such as immortal life, literati and scholars, and common folk simplicity highlight the spiritual and material kinship of ancestral temple painting. The vocabulary used in titles such as "He (rapprochement-和)", "He (reunification-合)", "wealth (财)", "happiness (乐)", "blessing (福)", and "longevity (寿)" reveals a positive transmission of Confucian values; (3) The five main artistic expressions of ancestral temple painting are metaphor through objects (借物喻意), the personification of events (以人喻事), using the past to illuminate the present (借古喻今), expressing aspirations through objects (托物喻志), and pun-based symbolism (谐音寓意); (4) The decorative elements of ancestral temples correspond to the forms of their painting art, with the former extending the space of the tomb sacrificial system and the latter representing artistic inheritance. The development of ancestral temple architecture has formed dual developmental contexts centered on ritual culture and supplemented by academic dissemination, fluctuating with the status of Confucianism. The relational sociology model shows that the political aspects of ancestral temples form a sub-lineage of their ritual culture, closely linked to reforms in the educational system and transformations in building functions, further influencing architectural form and decorative art. Ganhua education has been viewed by some scholars as holding a critical position in the correctional system of the People's Republic of China (PRC), for achieving its primary target of imprisonment: rehabilitation. This article aims to redress this argument. Drawing on interviews undertaken with 30 female parolees/ex-prisoners and 10 prison officers, this article argues that the Ganhua education in prison, which is strongly imprinted with the key concept of Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) that "connection promotes growth," is ineffective and is unable to empower women to grow, change, and consequently open to rehabilitation at selected female prisons. This article suggests that the RCT is theoretically problematic in producing a "new person," for the reason of its unawareness of contextualized culture, values, and situations in prison. Purpose: The available evidence regarding the role of fruit and vegetable consumption in the development of colorectal polyps remains inconclusive, and there is a lack of data on different histopathologic features of polyps. We aimed to evaluate the associations of fruit and vegetable consumption with the prevalence of colorectal polyps and its subtypes in a high-risk population in China. Methods: We included 6783 Chinese participants aged 40–80 years who were at high risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) in the Lanxi Pre-colorectal Cancer Cohort (LP3C). Dietary information was obtained through a validated food-frequency questionnaire (FFQ), and colonoscopy screening was used to detect colorectal polyps. Dose–response associations of fruit and vegetable intake with the prevalence of polyps were calculated using multivariate-adjusted regression models, which was reported as odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results: 2064 cases of colorectal polyps were ascertained in the LP3C during 2018–2019. Upon multivariable adjustments, including the diet quality, fruit consumption was inversely associated with the prevalence of polyps (P trend = 0.02). Participants in the highest tertile of fruit intake had a 25% lower risk (OR: 0.75; 95% CI 0.62‒0.92) compared to non-consumers, while vegetable consumption had no significant association with polyp prevalence (P trend = 0.86). In terms of colorectal histopathology and multiplicity, higher fruit intake was correlated with 24, 23, and 33% lower prevalence of small polyps (OR: 0.76; 95% CI 0.62‒0.94; P trend = 0.05), single polyp (OR: 0.77; 95% CI 0.62‒0.96; P trend = 0.04), and distal colon polyps (OR: 0.67; 95% CI 0.51‒0.87; P trend = 0.003), respectively. Conclusions: Fresh fruit is suggested as a protective factor to prevent colorectal polyps in individuals at high risk of CRC, and should be underscored in dietary recommendations, particularly for high-risk populations. Purpose: This study aims to examine an emerging product–place co-branding marketing practice in China's rural areas. The role of this practice in inclusive development is analyzed from the perspectives of value proposition innovation, market legitimacy, media coverage and brand value. Both research and practice indicate value proposition innovation to exert an important influence on brand value enhancement, but little is known about the mediating and moderating mechanisms underlying this relation. Design/methodology/approach: A moderated mediation model is constructed to examine whether market legitimacy mediates the relationship between value proposition innovation and brand value. vWhether this mediating process is moderated by media coverage is also examined. The primary data are collected from semi-structured interviews and observations conducted with two common cases to develop proper scales for value proposition innovation and market legitimacy. The research includes 100 product–place co-brandings published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 2019. Hypotheses are tested using hierarchical regression and a Bootstrap model. Findings: Value proposition innovation has a positive effect on brand value, and market legitimacy partially mediates this relationship. Media coverage positively moderates the relationship between value proposition innovation and market legitimacy, and positively moderates the mediating effect of market legitimacy; the higher the media coverage, the stronger the mediating effect of market legitimacy. Research limitations/implications: Based on data availability and accessibility, the study sample focused on indicators from 100 brands in 2019. If the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs discloses consecutive annual information for other years, future studies could explore panel data to further test the study's conclusions from a longitudinal perspective. Originality/value: First, this paper adds to the emerging literature on product–place co-branding business models by examining the relationship between value proposition innovation and brand value. Second, this paper enriches institutional theory by including market legitimacy as a mediator between value proposition innovation and brand value. Third, this paper identifies the moderating role of media coverage, thus broadening the theoretical implications of institutional theory with respect to improving market legitimacy. Channel steel-reinforced brick column technology has gained significant popularity in rural China due to its convenience and cost effectiveness. However, current research on channel steel reinforcement is sparse, and engineering applications often rely solely on construction experience. This reliance leads to significant construction errors, inconsistent reinforcement effects, and, in some cases, tragedies such as the collapse of Changsha's "4.29" self-built houses. Therefore, in this paper, experimental and simulation studies on brick columns reinforced with external channel steel were conducted, and the results show that channel steel reinforcement can significantly enhance the axial load capacity of brick columns. However, increased initial stress levels and height-to-thickness ratios substantially reduce the reinforcement effect. Under axial pressure, the outer channel steel fails mainly through bending and buckling instability. Still, due to its good ductility, its failure occurs later than the brick column after being restrained by sufficient wall screws. Based on the experimental and simulation results, a method for calculating the axial compressive bearing capacity of the reinforced column is proposed, providing theoretical support and engineering guidance for applying this reinforcement method. In this paper, the Multi-Temporal Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (MT-InSAR) technology is adopted to monitor the Line of Sight (LOS) displacement of Fushun West Opencast Coal Mine (FWOCM) and its surrounding areas in northeast China using Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images acquired from 2018 to 2022. The spatial-temporal evolution of urban subsidence and the south-slope landslide are both analyzed in detail. Comparison with ground measurements and cross-correlation analysis via cross wavelet transform with monthly precipitation data are also conducted, to analyze the influence factors of displacements in FWOCM. The monitoring results show that a subsidence basin appeared in the urban area near the eastern part of the north slope in 2018, with settlement center located at the intersection of E3000 and fault F1. The Qian Tai Shan (QTS) landslide on the south slope, which experienced rapid sliding during 2014 to 2016, presents seasonal deceleration and acceleration with precipitation, with the maximum displacement in vicinity of the Liushan paleochannel. The results of this paper have fully taken in account for the complications of large topographic relief, geological conditions, spatial distribution and temporal evolution characteristics of surface displacements in opencast mining area. The wide range and long time series dynamic monitoring of opencast mine are of great significance to ensure mine safety production and geological disaster prevention in the investigated mining area. In response to China's policies on pollution control and carbon emission (CE) reductions, more stringent regulations have been implemented to evaluate CE in wastewater treatment facilities. In this study, we have analyzed CE from China's wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and influencing factor. Emission factor (EF) and operational data integrated methods (ODIM) were utilized to measure emissions, using data collected from 247 WWTPs over a 1-year period across seven regions in China. The average CE intensity was 0.45 kgCO2-eq/m3, affected by region, season, influent water quality, treatment processes, effluent discharge standards, and facilities. The scale effect was obvious only in the range of 2 × 105 m3/day. Underground WWTPs exhibited significantly higher CE compared to aboveground WWTPs. In summary, the assessment of CE in 247 actual WWTPs not only identifies emission reduction potential but also provides a scientific basis for formulating targeted emission reduction measures. Introduction: Thalictrum fargesii is a medicinal plant belonging to the genus Thalictrum of the Ranunculaceae family and has been used in herbal medicine in the Himalayan regions of China and India. This species is taxonomically challenging because of its morphological similarities to other species within the genus. Thus, herbal drugs from this species are frequently adulterated, substituted, or mixed with other species, thereby endangering consumer safety. Methods: The present study aimed to sequence and assemble the entire chloroplast (cp) genome of T. fargesii using the Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform to better understand the genomic architecture, gene composition, and phylogenetic relationships within the Thalictrum. Results and discussion: The cp genome was 155,929 bp long and contained large single-copy (85,395 bp) and small single-copy (17,576 bp) regions that were segregated by a pair of inverted repeat regions (26,479 bp) to form a quadripartite structure. The cp genome contains 133 genes, including 88 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 37 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes. Additionally, this genome contains 64 codons that encode 20 amino acids, the most preferred of which are alanine and leucine. We identified 68 SSRs, 27 long repeats, and 242 high-confidence C-to-U RNA-editing sites in the cp genome. Moreover, we discovered seven divergent hotspot regions in the cp genome of T. fargesii, among which ndhD-psaC and rpl16-rps3 may be useful for developing molecular markers for identifying ethnodrug species and their contaminants. A comparative study with eight other species in the genus revealed that pafI and rps19 had highly variable sites in the cp genome of T. fargesii. Additionally, two special features, (i) the shortest length of the ycf1 gene at the IRA-SSC boundary and (ii) the distance between the rps19 fragment and trnH at the IRA-LSC junction, distinguish the cp genome of T. fargesii from those of other species within the genus. Furthermore, phylogenetic analysis revealed that T. fargesii was closely related to T. tenue and T. petaloidium. Conclusion: Considering all these lines of evidence, our findings offer crucial molecular and evolutionary information that could play a significant role in further species identification, evolution, and phylogenetic studies on T. fargesii. Intraspecific variation in plant functional traits and ecological strategies is typically overlooked in most studies despite its pivotal role at the local scales and along short environmental gradients. While CSR theory has been used to classify ecological strategies (competitive C; stress‐tolerant, S; ruderal, R) in different plant species, its ability to explain intraspecific variation in ecological strategies remains uncertain. Here, we sought to investigate intraspecific variation in ecological strategies for Pinus massoniana, a pioneer conifer tree for ecological restoration in Changting County, southeast China. By measuring key leaf traits and canopy height of 252 individuals at different ontogenetic stages from three plots spanning distinctive stages along early ecological restoration and calculating their C, S, and R scores, we constructed an intraspecific CSR system. All individual strategies shifted across three restoration stages, with adults from higher S component to higher C component while juveniles from higher S component to higher R component. Our results suggest that while strategies of all P. massoniana individuals start with tolerance to environmental stress, as restoration proceeds, adult transition towards completion for light, whereas juveniles shift to an acquisitive resource use. The study reveals an intraspecific pattern of strategy variation during forest restoration, contributing to our understanding of how plants adapt to diverse environments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective sampling method was used to select the participants from 10 hospitals in Guizhou Province that carried out ECMO. Data were collected through questionnaire survey. Two researchers checked and recorded Epidata 3.1. SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data, and frequency, mean and component ratio were used for descriptive statistical analysis. The importance rating was used to reflect the degree of nurses' agreement with the indicators. Results: The results of this study showed that 79.1% of the 253 ICU nurses in Guizhou Province, China, had not participated in training and courses related to indicators of quality of care evaluation for ECMO patients. The main way for ICU nurses to acquire knowledge related to indicators of quality of care sensitivity for ECMO patients was departmental training, which accounted for 87.4%. And the other ways, in descending order, were public, the matic lectures or academic conferences, journals and magazines; their evaluation scores of the importance of most of the quality of care sensitivity indicators for ECMO patients was moderate, with the scores ranging from 73 to 150. Among them, the range of importance evaluation scores for each indicator was 4.01 ~ 4.48. Conclusion: The overall cognitive evaluation of ICU nurses in Guizhou Province, China, on most sensitivity indicators of quality of care for ECMO patients was moderate, and there is a general lack of systematic courses and training on the knowledge related to ECMO care quality sensitive indicators. Background: Rotator cuff tears have been repaired using the transosseous method for decades. The direct suture (DS) technique has been widely used for rotator cuff tears; however, the retear rate is relatively high. Suture anchors are now used frequently for rotator cuff repair (RCR) in accordance with recent developments in materials. However, polyether ether ketone (PEEK) may still cause complications such as the formation of cysts and osteophytes. Some studies have developed the inlay suture (IS) technique for RCR. Purpose/Hypothesis: To compare how 3 different surgical techniques—namely, the DS, IS, and PEEK suture anchor (PSA)—affect tendon-bone healing after RCR. We hypothesized that the IS technique would lead to better tendon-to-bone healing and that the repaired structure would be similar to the normal enthesis. Study Design: Controlled laboratory study. Methods: Acute infraspinatus tendon tears were created in 36 six-month-old male rabbits, which were divided into 3 groups based on the technique used for RCR: DS, IS, and PSA. Animals were euthanized at 6 and 12 weeks postoperatively and underwent a histological assessment and imaging. The expression of related proteins was demonstrated by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining. Mechanical properties were evaluated by biomechanical testing. Results: At 12 weeks, regeneration of the enthesis was observed in the 3 groups. However, the DS group showed a lower type I collagen content than the PSA and IS groups, which was similar to the results for scleraxis. The DS group displayed a significantly inferior type II collagen expression and proteoglycan deposition after safranin O/fast green and sirius red staining. With regard to runt-related transcription factor 2 and alkaline phosphatase, the IS group showed upregulated expression levels compared with the other 2 groups. Conclusion: Compared with the DS technique, the PSA and IS techniques contributed to the improved maturation of tendons and fibrocartilage regeneration, while the IS technique particularly promoted osteogenesis at the enthesis. China’s massive wave of urbanization may be threatened by land subsidence. Using a spaceborne synthetic aperture radar interferometry technique, we provided a systematic assessment of land subsidence in all of China’s major cities from 2015 to 2022. Of the examined urban lands, 45% are subsiding faster than 3 millimeters per year, and 16% are subsiding faster than 10 millimeters per year, affecting 29 and 7% of the urban population, respectively. The subsidence appears to be associated with a range of factors such as groundwater withdrawal and the weight of buildings. By 2120, 22 to 26% of China’s coastal lands will have a relative elevation lower than sea level, hosting 9 to 11% of the coastal population, because of the combined effect of city subsidence and sea-level rise. The relationship between social factors and the formation of exported mug designs is blurred. This study addresses how they influence material design. Based on a quantitative typological analysis, this paper interprets the cultural relationships underlying the evolution of mug designs exported during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The study reveals: (1) the typology and handle styles of mugs can be categorized into six types, with a predominance of Cylindrical bodies and Ear-shaped handles. Notably, artistic emphasis is concentrated on Bulbous cup bodies and Tail outward curved handles; (2) the design of mugs in the eighteenth century exhibited diversity, morphological similarities, and feature continuity, evolving from representational (Ming Dynasty) to abstract and then to minimalistic styles (Qing Dynasty), particularly evident in the three-dimensional modeling of handles for ergonomic comfort (transitioning from a singular Outward curved form to Ear-shaped form, and then to Entwined branch form); (3) the body shape of mugs transformed from Arc-barrel bodies to Bulbous bodies (focusing on heat retention), and eventually to Cylindrical bodies (prioritizing heat retention, practicality, and cost-efficiency).; (4) the volume of mugs steadily increased from the early eighteenth century, generally classified into large volume (≥ 500 ml), medium volume (200-499 ml), and small volume (< 200 ml); (5) considering the extreme range of volume (11090 ml) and height (25 cm), it indicates that these two variables do not necessarily have a direct positive correlation; (6) the low center of gravity in handle design (average width of 3.4 cm against an average height of 9.9 cm for the body) reflects considerations for the distribution of liquid weight and operational convenience. The volume of sample-10 (11127 ml) notably exceeds the typical range for tea-drinking utensils, revealing the mechanism of wealth and status symbolism. Market demand orientation emerged as the primary driver for the evolution of export mug designs during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with adjustments in the merchant system playing a secondary role. Objective To investigate the utilization of outpatient and inpatient services in patients with pneumoconiosis and its influencing factors. Methods By using the convenient sampling method, 199 pneumoconiosis patients were selected from the West China Fourth Hospital, and their population characteristics, medical treatment-seeking behavior, and influencing factors were investigated by using the questionnaire on pneumoconiosis patients and its influencing factors compiled by CDC of China. Multivariate logistic regression model and multivariate poisons regression model were used to analyze the influencing factors of outpatient and inpatient service utilization. Results The two-week outpatient rate of pneumoconiosis patients surveyed was 27.6%, the median number of outpatients used in one year was twice, and the annual hospitalization rate was 61.8%. For hospitalized patients, the median number of hospitalizations per year was 1, and the median cumulative hospitalization days was 30 days. The average visual health scale (VAS) score of patients was 48.3±17.4. Multivariate logistic regression and multivariate poisons regression analysis showed that pneumoconiosis patients with basic health insurance (OR = 0.067, 95% CI: 0.006-0.716), higher frequency of medication (OR=0.100, 95% CI: 0.037-0.269), and lower VAS score (OR = 0.992, 95% CI: 0.988-0.997) had less use of outpatient services. Pneumoconiosis patients with recent exacerbation of cough (OR=5.530, 95% CI: 2.446-12.501), work injury insurance (OR=1.183, 95% CI:1.015-1.379), and lower income (OR=0.980, 95% CI: 0.965-0.997) had more use of outpatient services. Pneumoconiosis patients who were married (OR=0.063, 95% CI: 0.005-0.771) and had lower VAS scores (OR=8.463, 95% CI: 3.090-23.248) had less use of inpatient services. Pneumoconiosis patients with higher frequency of medication (OR=8.463, 95% CI: 3.090-23.248), complicated with core pulmonale (OR = 1.855, 95% CI: 1.307-2.634), pneumoconiosis compensation (OR=3.358, 95% CI: 1.183-9.529), social relief (OR=1.402, 95% CI: 1.047-1.877) and more active communication with patients (OR=2.158, 95% CI: 1.061-4.390) were likely to have more use of inpatient services. Conclusion The utilization rates of outpatients and inpatients with pneumoconiosis are higher than the national average. The health status, economic level, and social support level of patients with pneumoconiosis are important factors affecting their medical treatment behavior. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and objective: Futile recanalization (FR) is defined as patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) due to large vessel occlusion who still exhibits functional dependence although undergoing successful mechanical thrombectomy (MT). We aimed to develop and validate a simple nomogram for predicting the probability of FR after MT treatment in AIS patients. Methods: Clinical data of AIS patients in the Jrecan clinical trial in China from March 2018 to June 2019 were collected as the derivation set (n = 162). Meanwhile, clinical data of AIS patients who underwent MT in Baotou Central Hospital and Ningbo No.2 Hospital from 2019 to 2021 were collected as the validation set (n = 170). Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed for all variables that had p < 0.2 in the univariate analysis in the derivation set. The independent risk factors of FR were further screened out and a nomogram was constructed. The performance of the nomogram was analyzed in the derivation and validation set using C-index, calibration plots, and decision curves. Results: No significant difference in FR rate was detected between the derivation set and the validation set [88/162 (54.32%) and 82/170 (48.23%), p = 0.267]. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age ≥ 65 years old (OR = 2.096, 95%CI 1.024-4.289, p = 0.043), systolic blood pressure (SBP) ≥ 180 mmHg (OR = 5.624, 95%CI 1.141-27.717, p = 0.034), onset to recanalization time (OTR) ≥ 453 min (OR = 2.759, 95%CI 1.323-5.754, p = 0.007), 24 h intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH; OR = 4.029, 95%CI 1.844 ~ 8.803, p < 0.001) were independent risk factors for FR. The C-index of the nomogram of the derivation set and the verification set were 0.739 (95%CI 0.662~0.816) and 0.703 (95%CI 0.621~0.785), respectively. Background: Infection is the main cause of death for patients after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). However, pathogen profiles still have not been reported in detail due to their heterogeneity caused by geographic region. Objective: To evaluate the performance of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) and summarize regional pathogen profiles of infected patients after HSCT. Methods: From February 2021 to August 2022, 64 patients, admitted to the Department of Hematology of The First Hospital of Jilin University for HSCT and diagnosed as suspected infections, were retrospectively enrolled. Results: A total of 38 patients were diagnosed as having infections, including bloodstream (n =17), pulmonary (n =16), central nervous system (CNS) (n =4), and chest (n =1) infections. Human betaherpesvirus 5 (CMV) was the most common pathogen in both bloodstream (n =10) and pulmonary (n =8) infections, while CNS (n =2) and chest (n =1) infections were mainly caused by Human gammaherpesvirus 4 (EBV). For bloodstream infection, Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (n =3), Staphylococcus epidermidis (n =1), and Candida tropicalis (n =1) were also diagnosed as causative pathogens. Furthermore, mNGS combined with conventional tests can identify more causative pathogens with high sensitivity of 82.9% (95% CI 70.4-95.3%), and the total coincidence rate can reach up to 76.7% (95% CI 64.1-89.4%). Conclusions: Our findings emphasized the importance of mNGS in diagnosing, managing, and ruling out infections, and an era of more rapid, independent, and impartial diagnosis of infections after HSCT can be expected. Elucidating metal transport agents is the key to understanding the genesis of deposits and tracking the locations of concealed orebodies. Here, we integrate H-O-S-Cu isotopic data from the shear-zone-hosted Lingyun Cu deposit, China, as a means to fingerprint metal transport agents. Sulfide mineralization can be divided into early and late stages, which consist of chalcopyrite + bornite + quartz veins and chalcopyrite + bornite + ankerite veinlets, respectively. Both δ18Ofluid and δD values of fluid inclusions hosted by quartz (δ18Ofluid: 0.5‰ to 9.9‰, δD: –103.9‰ to –60.1‰) and δ65Cu values of sulfides (–1.85‰ to +0.39‰) from the early stage progressively decrease from the southeastern to northwestern portions of the Lingyun deposit, whereas sulfide δ34S simultaneously shifts toward heavier values (–14.4‰ to 5.0‰). The δ34S and δ65Cu values of sulfides from the late stage have restricted ranges from –11.2‰ to –9.3‰ and –0.30‰ to 0.05‰, respectively. The possibilities of meteoric water addition, water-rock interaction, inter-mineral Cu partitioning, diffusion, and oxidation could be ruled out as reasons for having caused systematic H-O-S-Cu isotope variations. Vapor-liquid separation resulted in preferential incorporation of light Cu, H, and O isotopes into the vapor phase. The decrease in oxygen fugacity in the fluids resulted in a shift toward heavier δ34S values as fluid flowed outward. Vapor-phases are the dominant transport agents for Cu in the Lingyun deposit, which may be widely applicable to shear-zone-hosted deposits. Silk fiber is increasingly recognized for its potential in a wide range of interdisciplinary applications due to its superior comfort, exceptional mechanical strength, biocompatibility, bio-degradability, and its harmless and non-irritating nature to human skin. However, it also faces several challenges, such as susceptibility to photo-yellowing, aging, microbial-induced distortion or deterioration, difficulties with machine washing, and demanding maintenance requirements. Consequently, there is a pressing demand for technological advancements to create high-performance and multifunctional silk fibers suitable for more diverse uses. This review comprehensively examines the latest methods for producing advanced multifunctional silk fibers, encompassing genetic engineering, dietary interventions, physical and chemical modifications, while also highlighting the associated issues and obstacles. Background: Breast cancer has the highest incidence rate of cancer worldwide, and brain metastases (BrM) are among the most malignant cases. While some patients have benefited from immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), the complex anatomical structure of the brain and the heterogeneity of metastatic tumors have made it difficult to characterize the tumor immune microenvironment (TME) of metastatic tumors. Methods: To address this, we used single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) to analyze immune cells in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of BrM patients with breast cancer, thereby providing a comprehensive view of the immune microenvironment landscape of BrM. Results: Based on canonical marker genes, we identified nine cell types, and further identified their subtypes through differential expression gene (DEG) analysis. We compared the changes in cells and functions in the immune microenvironment of patients with different prognoses. Our analysis revealed a series of genes that promote tumor immune function (CCR5, LYZ, IGKC, MS4A1, etc.) and inhibit tumor immune function (SCGB2A2, CD24, etc.). The effect of resolution and quality of terrain data, as the most sensitive input to 2D hydrodynamic modelling, has been one of the main research areas in flood modelling. However, previous studies have lacked the discussion on the limitation of the target area and the data source, as well as the underlying causes of simulation bias due to different resolutions. This study first discusses the performance of high-resolution DSM acquired by drone for flood modelling in a mountainous riverine city, and the effect of DSM resolution on results using grid resolutions from 6 cm to 30 m. The study then investigates the root causes of the effect based on topographic attributes. Xuanhan city, a riverine city in the mountainous region of southwest China, was used as the study area. The HEC-RAS 2D model was used for all simulations, and the results generated using 6 cm DSM acquired by drone were used as a benchmark. Results show that the simulation effect of flood characteristics shows a certain step change with the change of DSM resolution. DSMs with a resolution within 10 m can better capture the undulating features of the topography in the study area, which is crucial for the modelling of the inundation area. However, if features with specific elevation difference values are involved, it is best to keep the resolution within 5 m, which will have a direct impact on the accuracy of the modelling of the flood depth. Background: The job performance of clinicians is a clear indicator of both hospital capacity and the level of hospital service. It plays a crucial role in maintaining the effectiveness and quality of medical care. Clinical pathways are a systematic method of quality improvement successfully recommended by broader healthcare systems. Since clinicians play a key role in implementing clinical pathways in public hospitals, this study aims to investigate the effect of the satisfaction of clinicians in public hospitals with clinical pathway implementation on their job performance. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used. Questionnaires were administered online. A total of 794 clinicians completed the questionnaires in seven tertiary public hospitals in Sichuan Province, China, of which 723 were valid for analysis. Questionnaires contained questions on social demographic characteristics, satisfaction with clinical pathway implementation, work engagement, and job performance. Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used to test the hypotheses. Results: The satisfaction of clinicians in public hospitals with clinical pathway implementation was significantly positively correlated with work engagement (r = 0.570, P < 0.01) and job performance (r = 0.522, P < 0.01). A strong indirect effect of clinicians' satisfaction with clinical pathway implementation on job performance mediated by work engagement was observed, and the value of this effect was 0.383 (boot 95%CI [0.323, 0.448]). Conclusion: The satisfaction of clinicians in public hospitals with clinical pathway implementation not only directly influences their job performance, but also indirectly affects it through the mediating variable of work engagement. Therefore, managers of public hospitals need to pay close attention to clinicians' evaluation and perception of the clinical pathway implementation. This entails taking adequate measures, such as providing strong organizational support and creating a favorable environment for the clinical pathway implementation. Additionally, focusing on teamwork to increase clinicians' satisfaction can further enhance job performance. Digital technology has become a key driver of industrial transformation and resource utilization. However, no consensus has been reached on the exact relationship between digital technology and energy utilization. This study adopted a comprehensive index system to investigate the impact of digital technologies on energy utilization across 30 provinces in China. The results reveal a non-linear relationship between digital technologies and energy efficiency in China (represented by an N-curve), which is validated by robustness tests. This indicates digital technology exerts a fast-slow-rapid impact on improving energy efficiency throughout its initial-rapid-stable developmental stages. Geographically, this effect is more pronounced in eastern and central China, as well as in areas with lower energy efficiency. Furthermore, the impact of digital technology on total energy consumption can be characterized by an inverted N-shaped curve. As regional energy efficiency improves, the energy consumption associated with the development of digital technologies gradually decreases. In the past 11 years, there has been a surge in studies exploring the regulatory effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on ferroptosis. However, a significant gap persists in comprehensive scientometric analysis and scientific mapping research, especially in tracking the evolution, primary contributors, and emerging research focal points. This study aims to comprehensively update the advancements in targeting ferroptosis with various TCMs during the previous 11 years. The data, covering the period from 1 January 2012, to 30 November 2023, were retrieved from the Web of Science database. The findings highlight China's predominant role, accounting for 71.99% of total publications and significantly shaping research in this domain. The Calocybe species possess notable economic and medicinal value, demonstrating substantial potential for resource utilization. The taxonomic studies of Calocybe are lacking in quality and depth. Based on the specimens collected from northeast China, this study provides a detailed description of two newly discovered species, namely Calocybe betulicola and Calocybe cystidiosa, as well as two commonly found species, Calocybe decolorata and Calocybe ionides. Additionally, a previously unrecorded species, C. decolorata, has recently been discovered in Jilin Province, China. The two newly discovered species can be accurately distinguished from other species within the genus Calocybe based on their distinct morphological characteristics. The primary distinguishing features of C. betulicola include its grayish-purple pileus, grayish-brown to dark purple stipe, smaller basidiomata, absence of cellular pileipellis, and its habitat on leaf litter within birch forests. Calocybe cystidiosa is distinguished by its growth on the leaf litter of coniferous forests, a flesh-pink pileus, a fibrous stipe with a white tomentose covering at the base, non-cellular pileipellis, larger basidiospores, and the presence of cheilocystidia. The reconstruction of phylogenetic trees using combined ITS , nLSU , and tef1-α sequences, employing maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference analyses, showed that C. betulicola formed a cluster with C. decurrens, while C. cystidiosa clustered with C. vinacea. However, these two clusters formed separate branches themselves, which also supported the results obtained from our morphological studies. Widespread crust-derived granitoids in North China provide evidence of Mesozoic lithospheric thinning and destruction of the North China Craton. However, the link between lower crust and lithospheric mantle reactivation remains poorly understood. We present whole-rock geochemistry and zircon O-Hf isotopes for Early Cretaceous peralkaline A-type granites (i.e., Xiwanzi, Xiangshan, and Yansehu) from the Yanshan Mountains of the eastern block of the North China Craton. The Xiwanzi granite has a U-Pb age of 134.3 ± 0.4 Ma, with homogeneous whole-rock Nd isotopes [εNd(t) = -7.7 to -7.5] but highly variable zircon O-Hf isotopes [δ18O = 5.1‰ to 7.2‰ and εHf(t) = -7.7 to +9.6]. Such isotopic variations likely resulted from a hybrid juvenile source consisting of partial melting of newly underplated basaltic rocks derived from both the metasomatized ancient and juvenile sub-continental lithospheric mantle. In contrast, the Xiangshan (117.4 ± 1.0 Ma) and Yansehu (116.3 ± 1.4 Ma) granites have relatively uniform isotopic compositions [whole-rock εNd(t) = -12.2 to -10.8, zircon δ18O = 5.2‰ to 6.4‰, and εHf(t) = -17.1 to -4.7], close to those of the Proterozoic mafic granulite xenoliths from the ancient lower crust. The isotopic variations of the Early Cretaceous A-type granites suggest a continuous change in the melting model from the underplated juvenile lowermost crust to the overlying ancient lower crust at high temperatures in an extensional environment. Our results indicate that A-type granites can be used to probe the nature and reactivation of the lower crust of an Archean craton. Significantly, large-scale continuous thinning of lower continental crust provides key insights into the generation of the widespread Mesozoic crust-derived granitoids in North China. Conventional tillage is still widely practiced in phaeozems sloping farmland, which leads to serious soil erosion. Adopting effective farming methods is crucial for mitigating soil erosion. To prevent and control soil and water loss in phaeozems sloping farmland, field experiments were conducted in 2022 using three tillage methods and their combination modes: subsoiling tillage (SF), ridge tillage and pitting field (RF), ridge tillage and pitting field + subsoiling tillage (RF‐S), contour tillage (TP), contour tillage + ridge tillage and pitting field (TP‐R), and contour tillage + subsoiling tillage (TP‐S). The study aimed to assess the impact these different tillage methods on soil and water conservation. The results showed that the contour tillage + ridge field treatment significantly reduced surface runoff and soil loss (p < 0.05), with no observed nutrient loss. Compared with other treatments, this method significantly reduced runoff, erosion, and nutrient loss. In contrast, the contour tillage + subsoiling tillage treatment significantly decreased the soil three‐phase R‐value, improved the soil texture, and exhibited higher yield, harvest index, and water use efficiency (WUE) compared to alternative treatments. Overall, the comprehensive findings indicate that contour tillage + subsoiling tillage can reduce soil erosion, enhance soil quality, and improve the WUE, all while maintaining high production capacity. Furthermore, the results of this study provide a theoretical basis for conserving soil and water resources, improving soil fertility, and increasing farmland yield in the phaeozems area of northeast China. The identification of the origins of source rock palaeo-overpressure based on logging response parameters is frequently influenced by the presence of organic matter. To accurately identify the paleo-overpressure origin of source rocks and employ an appropriate method for paleo-pressure calculation, this study proposes a quantitative approach to assess the influence of organic matter content on overpressure analysis. The findings demonstrate that the presence of organic matter in Chang 7 shale leads to an increase in acoustic time difference and a decrease in density. After incorporating the multicomponent rock equivalent volume model correction, it is evident that the paleo-overpressure observed in the Chang 7 member is not attributed to undercompaction but rather to fluid expansion mechanisms. In conjunction with the acoustic velocity-density palte method, the paleo-overpressure of the Chang 7 member is attributed to undercompaction and expansion resulting from hydrocarbon generation. The pressure evolution of the Chang 7 member has been reconstructed based on the identification of its paleo-overpressure origin. The distribution characteristics of paleo-pressure recovered based on hydrocarbon generation expansion exhibit a strong correlation with the reservoir. The reliability of the correction method for organic matter influence is demonstrated. The proposed method is not only applicable for the investigation of paleo-pressure, but also holds significant implications for the assessment of pressure within organic-rich intervals. Introduction: This study aimed to analyze how authoritative parenting affects behavioral problems among primary, junior high, and secondary high school students. Today, parental educational anxiety and parent–child relationship conflicts are common in China and are resulting in a high incidence of child behavioral problems. High-quality family education is becoming increasingly important in China. This study sought to provide a reference for developing responsive family education services. Methods: A total of 10,441 parents in Hubei Province, including urban and rural areas, were evaluated using the Parents’ Education Anxiety Questionnaire, Parental Authority Parenting Questionnaire, Parent–Child Relationship Scale, and Self-Made Behavior Problem Scale to determine the internal mechanisms of child behavioral problems in the family system. To make the sample more representative, this study collected data from primary and secondary schools representative of the southeast, northwest, and center of Hubei Province; further, the number of parents involved in each school was controlled at approximately 300 to ensure that the final sample had analytical value. Results: Educational anxiety directly affected children’s behavioral problems and indirectly affected them through the conflicts between parent and child. This conflict partially mediated educational anxiety and child behavioral problems, and authoritative parenting played a significant regulatory role in this relationship. Discussion: Higher levels of educational anxiety among parents increased the likelihood of a depressed family environment. This can lead to deteriorating parent–child relationships, which can result in children’s problem behaviors. Background: Streptococcus pneumoniae is a common pathogen that colonizes the human upper respiratory tract, causing high morbidity and mortality worldwide. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence status of S. pneumoniae isolated from patients of all ages in Southwest China, including serotype, antibiotic susceptibility and other molecular characteristics, to provide a basis for clinical antibiotic usage and vaccine development. Methods: This study was conducted from January 2018 to March 2022 at West China Hospital, West China Second University Hospital, First People's Hospital of Longquanyi District (West China Longquan Hospital), Meishan Women and Children's Hospital (Alliance Hospital of West China Second University Hospital) and Chengdu Jinjiang Hospital for Women and Children Health. Demographic and clinical characteristics of 263 pneumococcal disease (PD) all-age patients were collected and analyzed. The serotypes, sequence types (STs), and antibiotic resistance of the strains were determined by next-generation sequencing, sequence analysis and the microdilution broth method. Results: The most common pneumococcal serotypes were 19F (17.87%), 19A (11.41%), 3 (8.75%), 23F (6.46%) and 6A (5.70%). Coverage rates for PCV10, PCV13, PCV15, PCV20 and PCV24 were 36.12, 61.98, 61.98, 63.12 and 64.26%, respectively. Prevalent STs were ST271 (12.55%), ST320 (11.79%), ST90 (4.18%), ST876 (4.18%) and ST11972 (3.42%). Penicillin-resistant S. pneumoniae (PRSP) accounted for 82.35 and 1.22% of meningitis and nonmeningitis PD cases, respectively. Resistance genes msrD (32.7%), mefA (32.7%), ermB (95.8%), tetM (97.3%) and catTC (7.6%) were found among 263 isolates. Most isolates showed high resistance to erythromycin (96.96%) and tetracycline (79.85%), with more than half being resistant to SXT (58.94%). A few isolates were resistant to AMX (9.89%), CTX (11.03%), MEN (9.13%), OFX (1.14%), LVX (1.14%) and MXF (0.38%). All isolates were susceptible to vancomycin and linezolid. Conclusion: Our study provides reliable information, including the prevalence, molecular characterization and antimicrobial resistance of S. pneumoniae isolates causing pneumococcal diseases in Southwest China. Heat metering is an important measure of China's heating marketization reform as well as an energy-saving policy implemented in buildings nearly 20 years ago. However, this policy has not achieved the expected results due to various reasons. It is important to note that although northern China is dominated by large apartment buildings, resulting in unique thermal characteristics and user behavior, the measured results of these characteristics are not common. In this study, data from cities in northern China were obtained using household heat meters and field testing. Based on the three levels of station, building, and household, the effects of location, heat outages, and users' regulation behavior on energy consumption were analyzed. The results show that different locations lead to a considerable difference in heat consumption among users, and an outage leads to a significant increase in consumption by surrounding users. For typical buildings in northern China, it is challenging to realize energy savings with district heating systems based on user behavior, and household metering and charging are not fair and reliable. The NEET phenomenon (not in education, employment or training) has significant implications, both for individuals and society at large. While China's higher education students are particularly susceptible to becoming NEET, relatively little attention has been given to understanding this issue. To address this research gap and contribute to the study of NEET in China, this paper collected a total of 12,616 samples from current higher education students and those who graduated within the past three years from universities in seven provinces of Southwest China, finding that 21.91% of the students surveyed fall into the NEET-prone student category. The underlying factors contributing to NEET-prone status are identified through logit regression analysis and categorized into three levels: individual, family, and society. At the individual level, factors such as personal ability, confidence in job-hunting, and attitude towards NEET significantly influence a student's likelihood of being NEET-prone. Family-level factors include being an only child, consumption level, economic dependence on family members, and the presence of NEET relatives. And social-level factors encompass school provision (or non-provision) of employment services, the number of employment services offered, and the possibility of obtaining loans from society. Finally, this paper concludes by offering recommendations, which are drawn from individual, family, and social perspectives, to help Chinese higher education students avoid NEET status. Introduction: The husk tightness (HTI) in maize plays a crucial role in regulating the water content of ears during the maturity stage, thereby influencing the quality of mechanical grain harvesting in China. Genomic selection (GS), which employs molecular markers, offers a promising approach for identifying and selecting inbred lines with the desired HTI trait in maize breeding. However, the effectiveness of GS is contingent upon various factors, including the genetic architecture of breeding populations, sequencing platforms, and statistical models. Methods: An association panel of maize inbred lines was grown across three sites over two years, divided into four subgroups. GS analysis for HTI prediction was performed using marker data from three sequencing platforms and six marker densities with six statistical methods. Results: The findings indicate that a loosely attached husk can aid in the dissipation of water from kernels in temperate maize germplasms across most environments but not nessarily for tropical-origin maize. Considering the balance between GS prediction accuracy and breeding cost, the optimal prediction strategy is the rrBLUP model, the 50K sequencing platform, a 30% proportion of the test population, and a marker density of r2=0.1. Additionally, selecting a specific SS subgroup for sampling the testing set significantly enhances the predictive capacity for husk tightness. Discussion: The determination of the optimal GS prediction strategy for HTI provides an economically feasible reference for the practice of molecular breeding. Background: The association between lipid and bone metabolism, particularly the role of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in regulating bone mineral density (BMD), is of significant interest. Despite numerous studies, findings on this relationship remain inconclusive, especially since evidence from large, sexually diverse Chinese populations is sparse. This study, therefore, investigates the correlation between HDL-C and lumbar BMD in people of different genders using extensive population-based data from physical examinations conducted in China. Methods: Data from a cross-sectional survey involving 20,351 individuals aged > = 20 years drawn from medical records of health check-ups at the Health Management Centre of the Henan Provincial People's Hospital formed the basis of this study. The primary objective was to determine the correlation between HDL-C levels and lumbar BMD across genders. The analysis methodology included demographic data analysis, one-way ANOVA, subgroup analyses, multifactorial regression equations, smoothed curve fitting, and threshold and saturation effect analyses. Results: Multifactorial regression analysis revealed a significant inverse relationship between HDL-C levels and lumbar BMD in both sexes, controlling for potential confounders (Male: β = -8.77, 95% CI -11.65 to -5.88, P < 0.001; Female: β = -4.77, 95% CI -8.63 to -0.90, P = 0.015). Subgroup and threshold saturation effect analyses indicated a stronger association in males, showing that increased HDL-C correlates with reduced lumbar BMD irrespective of age and body mass index (BMI). The most significant effect was observed in males with BMI > 28 kg/m2 and HDL-C > 1.45 mmol/L and in females with a BMI between 24 and 28 kg/m2. Conclusion: Elevated HDL-C is associated with decreased bone mass, particularly in obese males. These findings indicate that individuals with high HDL-C levels should receive careful clinical monitoring to mitigate osteoporosis risk. Introduction: English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education increasingly relies on online learning, necessitating a nuanced understanding of crucial factors impacting learning experiences. This research investigates the intricate relationships among online learning self-efficacy, online self-regulated learning, informal digital learning of English (IDLE), and online course satisfaction within the unique context of EFL learners. Methods: The study involved 563 intermediate college students from various national universities in China. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to analyze the data, providing comprehensive insights into the relationships among the identified variables. Results: The results revealed significant insights. Both online learning selfefficacy and IDLE exhibited direct and positive influences on online course satisfaction. Furthermore, the study uncovered that online self-regulated learning acted as a partial mediator in the connection between online learning self-efficacy and IDLE with online course satisfaction. This mediation implies that learners' self-regulatory behaviors significantly affect how self-efficacy and informal digital language learning experiences impact overall satisfaction with online courses. Discussion: The findings highlight the pivotal role of nurturing learners' selfefficacy beliefs, fostering IDLE, and promoting effective self-regulated learning strategies in the realm of online language learning. Using a prospective, observational cohort study during the post–"dynamic COVID-zero" wave in China, we estimated short-term relative effectiveness against Omicron BA.5 infection of inhaled aerosolized adenovirus type 5–vectored ancestral strain coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine as a second booster dose approximately 1 year after homologous boosted primary series of inactivated COVID-19 vaccine compared with no second booster. Participants reported nucleic acid or antigen test results weekly until they tested positive or completed predesignated follow-up. After excluding participants infected <14 days after study entry, relative effectiveness among the 6576 participants was 61% in 18- to 59-year-olds and 38% in ≥60-year-olds and was sustained for 12 weeks. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a malignant tumor originating in the nasopharyngeal epithelium with a high incidence in southern China and parts of Southeast Asia. The current treatment methods are mainly radiotherapy and chemotherapy. However, they often have side effects and are not suitable for long‐term exposure. Natural products have received more and more attention in cancer prevention and treatment because of their its high efficiency, low toxic side effects, and low toxicity. Natural products can serve as a viable alternative, and this study aimed to review the efficacy and mechanisms of natural products in the treatment of NPC by examining previous literature. Most natural products act by inhibiting cell proliferation, metastasis, inducing cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. Soil contamination by cadmium (Cd) has presented a major challenge in China. The objective of the field experiments in this study was to examine the influence of nitrogen fertilizer application at the full heading and milky stages on minimizing the absorption of Cd in rice. This was achieved by affecting the distribution of Cd in root plaques and subcellular compartments of the root and flag leaf. The hydroponic culture experiments aimed to examine the effect of nitrogen and Cd interaction or deficiency on Cd accumulation in rice during the late growth stage. The findings revealed that adequate nitrogen supply during the early growth stage, coupled with nitrogen application during the full heading and milky stages, led to a notable increase in Fe concentration in the root plaques during the milk and mature stages. Furthermore, it elevated the Cd proportion in the soluble fraction of the flag leaves at the milky stage. Conversely, nitrogen deficiency during the early growth stage resulted in a significant increase in Fe concentration in the root plaques, along with a decrease in Cd concentration. Additionally, the proportion of Cd in the flag leaf cell walls increased significantly, while the proportion in the soluble fraction decreased notably. Irrespective of nitrogen supply during the early growth stage, applying nitrogen at the full heading stage significantly reduced Cd transport from shoots to brown rice, leading to a considerable reduction in the Cd concentration in brown rice. Under hydroponic culture conditions, combined Cd exposure with nitrogen supply significantly increased the Cd concentration in brown rice. Nitrogen supply had no impact on the Cd concentration in brown rice in the absence of Cd. The study showed that applying nitrogen fertilizer at the full heading stage effectively decreased the brown rice Cd concentration. This was achieved by elevating the concentration of Fe in the root plaque, thereby influencing the adsorption of Cd by the roots. Additionally, nitrogen application at the full heading stage can influence the distribution of Cd in flag leaf cells during the filling stage. Background: Osteochondral injuries (OCIs) are common in patients with acute lateral patellar dislocation, which can produce both short- and long-;term adverse effects. However, the pattern of these injuries warrants further analysis, especially in relation to patient age. Purpose: To determine the overall prevalence of concomitant OCIs as well as the prevalence differences based on location and age after acute lateral patellar dislocations. Study design: Systematic review; Level of evidence, 4. Methods: A comprehensive search of PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library was completed from inception to July 20, 2022. All articles reporting the prevalence of OCI were included. The sample characteristics such as age, study design, magnetic resonance imaging diagnostic data, and the number of patients with OCI were extracted. The Methodological Index for Non-Randomized Studies (MINORS) was used for quality assessment. The overall and per-;site injury rates were calculated, and the prevalence was stratified by age-;group (≤16 and >16 years) and compared. Results: The systematic review included 39 studies involving 3354 patients. MINORS scores were 11.94 ± 1.98 and 16 ± 3.46 in the noncomparative and comparative studies, respectively. The overall prevalence of bone bruises and OCI was 89.6% (95% CI, 77.4%-97.7%) and 48.8% (95% CI, 39.0%-58.7%), respectively. In both overall and >16-year-old patients, the lateral femoral condyle (LFC) was the most common site of bone bruise (90.5% [95% CI, 84.0%-95.6%] and 91.5% [95% CI, 84.3%-96.9%], respectively); however, the medial patellar bruise was more common in patients ≤16 years (89.2% [95% CI, 82.9%-94.4%]). Among the pooled sites of OCI, the medial patella accounted for the largest proportion (36.9% [95% CI, 28.0%-46.3%]). OCIs were more common in patients >16 years (52.6% [95% CI, 39.4%-65.6%]) than in patients ≤16 years (46.6% [95% CI, 33.2%-60.3%]). Conclusion: Bone bruises on the LFC were most prevalent overall and in patients >16 years, whereas bone bruises on the medial patella were more prevalent in patients ≤16 years. Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology is a vital technical path to realize the low-carbon transformation of the coal power industry as well as a key means to ensure the safe and stable operation of the future power system. However, the current development path of coupling coal power and CCUS technology is not clear, and there is room for the optimization of the corresponding policy mechanism. This paper quantitatively estimates the contribution of CCUS application in the coal power industry to China's low-carbon energy transition strategy, describes the future development path of coal power's CCUS industrialization from the spatio-temporal dimension, and further constructs a comprehensive supporting policy system framework. The results show that the development of coupling coal power and CCUS technology is technically and economically feasible, which can not only achieve deep decarbon-ization of the power system and bring significant output and employment dividends in the coal power industry, but also effectively control the average carbon price level of society. In terms of the temporal dimension, the development path of coal power's CCUS industrialization in the future should be divided into three stages: technology research, development, and demonstration (2021--2030), large-scale application (2030--2040), and commercial development (2040--2060). In terms of the spatial dimension, the technically and economically feasible regions for cluster development are the Ordos Basin, the Junggar Basin, the Bohai Bay Basin, etc. Constructing a comprehensive policy support system framework incorporating ' macro support, fiscal and tax finance, market mechanism, technology research, development, and demonstration, as well as management system' is conducive to realizing a large-scale CCUS application in the coal power industry. In the stage of technology research, development, and demonstration of coal power's CCUS application, more definitive incentive policies such as storage subsidies, compensation for power generation hours, and feed-in tariff subsidies should be implemented. When the project cost drops to a certain extent, there should be a gradual transition to market-based policy tools such as carbon trading and green electricity trading mechanisms, and green finance should also be promoted. Based on the relevant conclusions, some targeted policy suggestions are put forward to provide references for promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of China's coal power industry. Microplastic pollution in sugarcane areas of China is severe, and reducing the ecological risks is critical. Biochar has been widely used in soil remediation. This study aims to explore the effects and mechanisms of microplastics combined with or without biochar on sugarcane biomass, soil biochemical properties in red soil through a potted experiment. The results show that, compared with control (CK), treatments with microplastics alone reduced the dry biomass of sugarcane, soil pH, and nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) contents by an average of 8.8%, 2.1%, 1.1%, and 2.0%, respectively. Interestingly, microplastics combined with biochar could alleviate the negative effects of microplastic accumulation on sugarcane growth and soil quality. There were significant differences in the bacterial community alpha diversity indices and compositions among different treatments. Compared with CK, treatments with microplastics alone obviously decreased the observed operational taxonomic units (OTUs) and the Chao1 and Shannon indices of soil total bacteria (16S rRNA gene-based bacteria) while increasing them in phoD-harboring bacteria. Microplastics combined with biochar treatments significantly increased the abundance of Subgroup_10 for the 16S rRNA gene and treatments with microplastics alone significantly increased the relative abundance of Streptomyces for the phoD gene compared to CK. Moreover, compared with microplastics alone, the treatments with microplastics combined with biochar increased the relative abundance of Subgroup_10, Bacillus, Pseudomonas in soil total bacteria, and Amycolatopsis and Bradyrhizobium in phoD-harboring bacteria, most of which can inhibit harmful bacteria and promote plant growth. Additionally, different treatments also changed the abundance of potential microbial functional genes. Compared to CK, other treatments increased the abundance of aerobic ammonia oxidation and denitrification but decreased the abundance of nitrate respiration and nitrogen respiration; meanwhile, these four functional genes involved in N cycling processes were obviously higher in treatments with microplastics combined with biochar than in treatments with microplastics alone. In conclusion, microplastics combined with biochar could alleviate the negative effects of microplastic accumulation on sugarcane biomass by altering soil nutrients and microbial community structure and function. Objective: To investigate the long-term changes in nutritional status in children with solid tumors during treatment and the relationship between nutritional status and clinical outcomes. Methods: This study was a retrospective medical records review of data from children who were diagnosed with solid tumors and followed up for more than 3months from January 2016 to December 2021 in China. Patient demographics and clinical information, including nutritional status, parenteral nutrition use, intensive care unit (ICU) transfers, infection during hospitalization, hospitalization frequency, length of stay, hospitalization costs and antibiotic costs, were collected to analyze the nutritional status of children with different types of solid tumors, the dynamic changes in nutritional status during treatment, and the relationship between nutritional status and clinical outcomes. Results: Among the 764 patients (383 males (50.1%); 381 females (49.9%); mean age: 2.58 years), 41.6% of the solid tumors were neuroblastomas, 17.1% were hepatoblastomas, and Wilms tumors as the third most common solid tumors (8.9%). The median follow-up duration was 6months (range: 3–40months). At diagnosis, the proportion of children who were undernourished (underweight and wasting) versus overweight or obese were 26.71% versus 5.21% (25.86% vs. 2.89% in the third month; 29.77% vs. 2.28% in the sixth month; 24.77% vs. 3.27% in the 12th month). The body mass index Z scores decreased from the initial values after the first month (−0.56 (−1.47, 0.23) vs. −0.44 (−1.29, 0.41)) but improved later and decreased again at 6months. The children in the undernutrition group had longer hospital stays (p<0.001), higher hospitalization costs (p<0.001), higher antibiotic costs (p<0.001), a higher risk of neutropenia (OR=4.781 (95% CI: 1.571–14.553), p=0.006), and a higher risk of ICU transfers (OR=1.498 (95% CI: 1.010–2.224), p=0.044). No significant differences in those associations by malnutrition and infection, ICU duration, or length of parenteral nutrition were observed. Conclusion: There is a considerable prevalence of malnutrition in children with solid tumors. The evolution of power system is a dynamic and complex process. Whether the evolution of power system can adapt to the macro environment and develop with all subsystems within the system depends on the matching and integration development among different evolutionary subjects. Based on the dissipation theory and Brusselator model, this paper constructs an evolutionary synergy model of the power system, and quantitatively analyzes the evolutionary synergy relationship between the evolving subjects of the power system and the overall evolutionary process of the power system. Then, from the socio- technical system transformation theory, we analyze the evolutionary elements of macro-environmental level, meso-institutional level and micro-beneficial level in the process of system transformation in China and the interaction among them. Finally, by comparing the entropy changes of the evolutionary participant subjects and the overall power system at each stage, the endogenous mechanism of the power system, the external elements and their interactions on the system development are studied in order to reveal the evolutionary synergistic law of China's power system and make suggestions for the development of the new power system. This study investigates the spillover and contagion effects of systemic risk among Chinese financial institutions in terms of the conditional Value-at-Risk method and spatial econometric techniques. We construct different representative spatial weight matrices to demonstrate various risk connective categories and contagion channels. The spatial autoregression model is built to reveal the different magnitudes of systemic risk contagion effects and extended as the spatial quantile regression model to measure the change in spillovers across quantiles. The results highlight that the spatial agglomeration pattern of institution-level systemic risk is highly concentrated within the same sector but highly disparate between the different sectors. The closeness of the asset price channel and the information channel would enhance the systemic risk spillover effects among institutions. The higher the single institution's systemic risk level is, the stronger its spillovers among all of them within the same financial department, yet contrarily, the spillovers are larger at lower quantiles between different sectors due to the disparate spatial tendency of systemic risk. Besides, the spillover effects across quantiles indicate the higher tail contagion of systemic risk spatial spillovers, especially during 2015 A-share market crash and 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. This study examines the price structure of milk powders targeting Chinese older adults, with special emphasis on the assessment of front-of-pack (FOP) voluntary well-being messaging (VWM), using a hedonic price model. Data of 456 sets of product prices and attributes were collected from official stores at online shops, TMALL.com and JD.com, in China. Prices were recorded 10 d before, during, and 10 d after a major online promotion event (November 11, 2021). A hedonic price model was employed to decompose explicit market prices into individual product attributes implicit prices, including essential attributes, such as milk source, brand origin, package material, and nutritional composition, and nonessential attributes conveyed by FOP VWM, regarding nutrition, ingredients, health, sensory qualities, and certification. Results showed that above and beyond essential attributes, nonessential attributes conveyed by FOP VWM were significantly associated with price. Specifically, significant price premiums were associated with dietary fiber claims (+12.7%), no added sugar (+19.0%) and potential health benefits (+19.3%), as nutrition-, ingredient-, and health-related FOP VWM respectively. However, nutrition claims regarding calcium and fat were negatively associated with price (−21.2% and −8.0%, respectively, when they were presented). Additionally, nutrition claims for protein and vitamin D, introducing farm environment, referring to imported ingredients, declaring specific ingredients added, describing sensory characterizes and providing certificates on FOP were not significantly associated with price in this market.
