Abstract

The article presents a study which investigated the tensile failure from a dynamic indirect tensile strength of sandstone subjected to dynamic loads. The researchers conducted a series of dynamic indirect tensile tests on sandstone from Changsha, China. It implied that the dynamic effect of the indirect tensile strength of the Changsha sandstone can be used in dynamic constitutive models and in validating the existing or novel numerical models.
