Abstract

This paper studies the effect of innovative entrepreneurship on the expected job creation within central European countries. We use an innovation scoring model to determine the innovation activity of entrepreneurs in central European countries: Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia, and compare the expected job creation of innovative and non-innovative entrepreneurs in the region. We find that relationship between innovative entrepreneurship and higher job creation expectations exists within the early-stage entrepreneurial cohort, while within the established entrepreneurs, the relationship is dubious.
