This research is an applied study about showing the perception level and necessity of green fields in Çanakkale. There are lots of parks and green areas in Çanakkale Centre District. To measure this perception and necessity; we executed a face-to-face survey to 248 people in seven neighbourhood in Çanakkale city. But only 227 of these surveys were evaluated. In this evaluated surveys we have 107 women and 120 men. Open green-fields in Çanakkale already reached as 11 746.92 dekar (1.174.692 m²). There is a 9,5 m² green field for each person in total quantity which match international standards. A results for researches conducted we have a number of 234 district park, 9 city park, 129 green field, 65 refuges and intersections, 5 picnic site and 5 green fields countable as cemetery. The results of the study reveal the needs and demands and the need for new parks and green areas in the central district of Çanakkale. Although the people of Çanakkale think about the parks as sufficient, but they have problems to reach them. The problem is that there is a lack of parking around the green areas after transportation. Most of the people think that the parks are unsafe and not clean. According to the answers given by the individuals participating in the questionnaire that as the education level increases, expectations are rising and dissatisfaction is increasing.
