- Abstract
In the light of meeting the demands of the No Child Left Behind Act, some schools have forgotten the true intent of the legislation. These schools most often complain about the lack of "NCLB funding" or the enormous strain on their organization of "meeting the demands of NCLB." However, other schools such as those in Edmonton, Alberta, Southern California, and the Gilroy California district put aside ego to build a community of leaders focused on improving instruction in every classroom everyday. This article describes the actions made by these schools to improve student learning for every student.
