The article presents the views of various delegates at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's (FINRA's) spring conference in Hollywood, California about combining the legacy National Association Of Securities Dealers (NASD) and NYSE Regulation member regulation rulebook. Marc Menchel, executive vice president (v.p.) of FINRA, said the process will take years. Mary Schapiro of FINRA cited that State Revenue Office (SRO) would like the book to be completed within 18 months. A FINRA spokesman commented on the consolidation of the two rules.
