The article reflects on the supersized indoor composting facility in Southern California in relation with the biosolids management. Cities and counties in this region have managed biosolids since the promulgation of federal regulations. However, the dynamic has changed radically in a short time due to the inconvenience of the general public. Some of local agencies have adopted strategies for dealing with the new dynamic. These include collaborating on solutions when possible and developing refined products that can be reused within the region to improve soil health.
