The article discusses the steps outlined by David Mason, operations manager of the enrollment support services division at California Polytechnic State University, to implement document imaging in San Luis Obispo. He suggests that in launching the project, it is important to prepare the key constituents on campus including preparing to manage the change, linking the project to existing plans, and clarifying the business objectives. He recommends to assess the processes to determine what changes need to be made to make the best use of document imaging. Meanwhile, he adds to consider the best way to translate them into an electronic format once the evaluation of the processes will be done.
