Information about several papers discussed at the Forestry Workshop of the Plant and Animal Genome XV Conference, held in January 2007 in San Diego, California is presented. The event focused on the genomics and evolution of forest trees, including topics on adaptive polymorphisms, quantitative trait locus analysis and tree life style. It featured presentations by Emanuele De Paoli, Gail Taylor and Gerald Tuskan.
