This work understands tourism as a communicative operation in which resorting to stories (factual or fictional) is part of the dynamics of social systems (Osorio, 2007; Vázquez et al., 2013). Based on this definition, this study investigated those stories that influence the configuration of Buenos Aires society. The purpose was to analyse and problematise the tourist narratives linked to the ethnic and social minorities that gave rise to Buenos Aires's identity profile (indigenous, African, enslaved, and gauchos), pointing out its scopes and consequences about the promotion of the city's tourist image. Methodologically, the article had a qualitative design with a theoretical approach. We reviewed secondary and tertiary sources and direct and participant observations. In a global context that promotes cultural diversity as an economic resource, different government, non-government and private projects have incorporated certain indigenous Mbyá Guaraní expressions within the tourist marketing of the province of Misiones, Argentina. Here are the "children's choirs", which are promoted through the internet, audiovisual material and public events, and are proposed as a tourist attraction in visits to indigenous communities. Given that these musical practices carry different meanings to the tourist-commercial logics, it is observed from an ethnographic perspective, the tensions caused by the commercialization and exhibition of the children's choir in the Mbyá Guaraní community of Pindo Poty. In particular, we examine the reappropriations and the limits of what is marketable and exhibitable that, on its own, the community sets and how the decisions about when and where to exhibit the children's choir, challenge and exceed the tourist interests of projects that promote it, by being linked to their own political and territorial claims. Public communication of archaeological knowledge is key to allow access, ownership and social assessment of the past. This article, focused on Argentinean Catholicism, deals with the relationship between patrimony and religious visibility. Therefore, it explores and analyzes the tension between the meanings ascribed to religious objects whose patrimonial value is recognized both by the church and the state. For this purpose, the article first discusses the pastoral meaning of ecclesiastic goods from the point of view of a new evangelization. Secondly, it addresses the state's recognition of all confessional expressions inspired by the spirit of a multicultural society that is characterized by cultural and religious diversity. Finally, it examines some of the instances of visibility of the religious patrimony in the public sphere and their relation with the social legitimacy of the institutional subjects of patrimonialization. In this sense it highlights the role of rituals of visitation and the link between Catholicism and culture, which refers to the church-state contradiction about the real hierarchy of these dimensions. The two capitals have a historical interaction that joins processes, destinies and societies, which is manifested in the physical, social and architectonic configuration of both cities. However, the ways in which these processes are dealt with and developed regarding built patrimony and its protection, intervention in the historic centers or the outline of public policies to foster their recovery do not show parallelisms, but rather marked displacements. This current work is a project summary whose backbone consists of the preservation and conservation of local historic resources through the creation of files and the foundation of a textile museum. Both activities are developed in the former company Algodonera Flandria located in the little town of Jauregui, in Buenos Aires Province.
