A well-known clothing brand the Harlem store of Moshood Creations has been closed in Brooklyn, New York City and Atlanta, Georgia on October 31, 2003. According to Kunle Ade, manager of the flagship store in Brooklyn has described the Moshood brand as a combination of traditional African clothing and Western wear. However, Ade said that it was more than just a matter of a business failing to find its clientele. He said that Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone (UMEZ) officials called them in Harlem, New York City and promised them$300,000, but they never gave them anything. The confusion behind Moshood not receiving the $300,000 is attributed to the lack of continuity between the administration of the four presidents that UMEZ has had in its nine years of existence.
