President Trump expanded the trade wars on Monday when he announced that immediately he was placing tariffs on steel and aluminum from Brazil and Argentina. The EU Parliament approved the U.S.-EU Beef Access Agreement which will increase the amount of hormone-free beef exports to the EU. Abstract

The article reports on the announcement of the plan of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to overhaul the USDA operations by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack in January 2012. A total of 259 domestic offices, facilities and laboratories will be closed as part of the plan titled "Blueprint for Stronger Service." There was a three-billion-U.S. dollar reduction in the discretionary operating budget of USDA. Also noted is the decision of USDA to remove the ban on Brazilian pork imports.
