The article describes the characteristics of bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) isolated from a one year old calf with severe respiratory signs in Brazil. The BRSV is a virus that could cause lower respiratory tract infection among calves, as well as the important pathogen of cattle. Calf with BRSV was observed to have anorexia, fever, intense dyspnea, and pulmonary sounds. Postmortem examination of the calf revealed interstitial multifocal pneumonia on the right ventricle of the calf.
