The study aimed to present how the Slow Fashion strategy was able to favor the growth of Brazilian fashion companies. To this end, the themes of sustainability, sustainable development and fast fashion and slow fashion systems were conceptualized and related through bibliographic and descriptive research. The questionnaire technique was used with 4 employers. It was concluded that in the branch of the fashion industry there are different strategic variables for business growth, including the sustainability factor. It was possible to observe the growth of second-hand consumption in the state of Rio de Janeiro in recent years and, in particular, in the pandemic, which inevitably generated conscious consumption.
