This work presents a discussion about the Didactic Training Engineering (EDF) methodology, of French origin, emphasizing the role of the teacher, during his initial or continuous training, through the conception and structuring of a didactic situation, organized by such methodology and based on the Theory of Didactic Situations (TSD). Therefore, the objective of this work is to present a didactic situation, based on the research methodology of (EDF) and focused on the analysis of the teacher's role, through the application of the dialectical phases (action, formulation, validation and institutionalization) provided by the TSD. The mathematical problem chosen to compose such a situation, through preliminary and a priori analyzes by EDF, will be focused on Flat Geometry directed to the Permanent Evaluation System of Basic Education in Ceará (SPAECE). SPAECE (Brazil) is a large-scale assessment, held annually in the state of Ceará, Brazil, involving all elementary and high school students in public schools. In addition, the use of the GeoGebra software as a technological resource for carrying out a didactic transposition of the content covered in the proposed didactic situation stands out. For a better conduct of this teaching and learning process, it is suggested the adoption of a didactic contract between the characters involved and the consideration of possible epistemological obstacles and obstacles that may arise during this process.

This paper presents a study based on didactic engineering and the theory of didactical situations on the complexification of the Leonardo sequence, addressing its numbers in a two-dimensional way, with the insertion of the imaginary unit "i". This study is an excerpt from a masters' thesis research done in the postgraduate programme in science and mathematics teaching of the Federal Institute of Ceará. It was conducted via Google Meet in an initial teacher education class in History of Mathematics. We will present a problem situation based on the research and the teaching methodologies assumed in it to evaluate the students' investigative and intuitive side faced with the situation presented. We assessed the results according to the methodologies used and carried out an internal validation. Thus, we concluded that the students could build their knowledge themselves, becoming protagonists of this construction and obtaining an evolutionary understanding of the Leonardo sequence.

In this work, recurrent and linear sequences are studied, exploring the teaching of these numbers with the aid of a computational resource, known as Google Colab. Initially, a brief historical exploration inherent to these sequences is carried out, as well as the construction of the characteristic equation of each one. Thus, their respective roots will be investigated and analyzed, through fractal theory based on Newton's method. For that, Google Colab is used as a technological tool, collaborating to teach Fibonacci, Lucas, Mersenne, Oresme, Jacobsthal, Pell, Leonardo, Padovan, Perrin and Narayana sequences in Brazil and Portugal. It is also possible to notice the similarity of some of these sequences, in addition to relating them with some figures present and their corresponding visualization.

The present work presents a proposal for study and investigation, in the context of the teaching of Mathematics, through the history of linear and recurrent 2nd order sequences, indicated by: Fibonacci, Lucas, Pell, Jacobsthal, Leonardo, Oresme, Mersenne, Padovan, Perrin and Narayana. Undoubtedly, starting from the Fibonacci sequence, representing the most popular in the referred scenario of numerical sequences, it was possible to notice the emergence of other sequences. In some cases, being derived from Fibonacci, in others, changing the order of the sequence, we thus have the historical study, with the use of mathematical rigor. Besides, their respective recurrence formulas and characteristic equations are checked, observing their roots and the relationship with the number of gold, silver, bronze and others. The results indicated represent an example of international research cooperation involving researchers from Brazil and Portugal.

This article is an excerpt from a master's thesis developed in Brazil, in which we approach recurrent and linear sequences, given some intriguing particularities in their definitions and the scarcity of discussion of this topic in the literature of the History of Mathematics, especially with regard to its geometric representation. Thus, we aim to present the identities of Fibonacci, Lucas, Jacobsthal and Padovan in a three-dimensional visualization with the contribution of GeoGebra software. The research methodology chosen was bibliographical, exploratory in nature, where we have theoretical support in works such as Oliveira and Alves (2019), Silva (2017), Souza and Alves (2018), Vieira and Alves (2020). This research brings as results a set of geometric constructions of the identities of the proposed sequences, in three-dimensional perspective, being a support for future works developed around this theme. GeoGebra was essential in the process of constructing and visualizing the sequences, as it provided strategies for understanding the recurrence relations and the properties of the Fibonacci, Lucas, Jacobsthal and Padovan sequences, through the behavior of the visual representations of these identities. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease, which compromises the synovial membrane resulting in chronic inflammation. Ficolins are key proteins of the lectin pathway of complement able to recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns, apoptotic cells, and cellular debris mediating the clearance by phagocytes. High ficolin-1 and ficolin-3 levels have been observed in RA patients, however, the influence of polymorphisms in the FCN1 gene in RA is not completely established, while no study evaluated FCN3 gene polymorphisms in RA to date. We investigated the influence of FCN1 and FCN3 gene polymorphisms in the susceptibility and clinical presentation of RA. A total of 148 patients with RA and up to 160 controls from Southern Brazil were genotyped by sequence-specific PCR (PCR-SSP) for five FCN1 promoter polymorphisms (rs2989727, rs10120023, rs17039495, rs10117466, and rs10858293) and three FCN3 gene variants (rs532781899, rs28362807, and rs4494157). The FCN1 g.-542GG (rs10120023) genotype and g.-542G allele, were associated with increased susceptibility to RA (p =.025, OR = 1.69 [1.07–2.69]; p =.041, OR = 1.47 [1.02–2.12], respectively) and related to decreased FCN1 gene expression in whole blood (p <.00001), according to gene expression databases. In addition, the FCN1 AAGAG haplotype was more prevalent in rheumatoid factor seronegative in comparison to seropositive patients (p =.006, OR = 0.042 [0.002–0.80]). There was no association of FCN3 polymorphisms with the susceptibility or clinical characteristics of RA. Our results indicate that the FCN1 rs10120023 [g.-542G>A] polymorphism in the promoter region might contribute to RA susceptibility, probably by impacting FCN1 gene expression. Online gambling is a form of gambling. Its direct ban or lack of regulation leads to loss of revenue. These are used to support the social functions of the state. In this research we analyse the estimates about the relevance of online gambling, taking as a reference the European Union where online gambling activity is allowed. These data are compared with estimates for Brazil that does not allow online gambling. Some principles on game regulation are proposed, which can serve the Brazilian case, based on the experience of European and world regulation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article discusses an alternative way of viewing Padovan sequence extensions through Newton fractals using Google Colab to develop these reproductions. Initially, a scientific bibliographic survey is conducted regarding the process of extension of this sequence. Thus, studies are made on this qualitative alternative of visualization for linear and recurrent sequences. Hereafter alternative forms are developed in Google Colab, so each fractal generated from the characteristic polynomial of these numbers is analyzed. Finally, the conclusions about this process are discussed, proposing studies to continue this work in the future and research in Brazil, as well as possible applications in the areas of Physics and the formation of teachers of Natural Sciences in Brazil. In Brazil, we are interested in the study of second-order recurrent numerical sequences. Such mathematical content has an enormous potential to provide a differentiated mathematical culture for the math teachers in initial training. However, it becomes important that the teacher in Brazil knows properties beyond the traditional and classic numerical sequences, such as the Fibonacci sequence, Lucas sequence, Pell sequence, Jacobsthal sequence, Narayana sequence, etc. Thus, in the present work, we present a proposal of CAS Maple as technological resources in the study and discovery of new theorems derived from the Mersenne sequence. Throughout the work, we show that the software allows the discovery of theorems from matrix properties derived from the Mersenne sequences and the sequence of Gaussian numbers of Mersenne. The northwestern region of the state of Paraná, in the Caiuá sandstone area, lacks options for economically feasible agricultural exploration. Thus, pineapple appears as a growth option, needing further studies regarding its exploration in that region. The present review aimed to evaluate the feasibility of this culture and analyze the competitiveness of this region of Umuarama, Paraná State, compared to the state's main pineapple supplying regions. For this purpose, three producers in Umuarama, Cafezal do Sul and Cruzeiro do Oeste were visited, in order to survey the technical coefficient of this culture and its profit indicators. The analyzed region presents a good and competitive capacity compared to other traditional fruit producers, mainly due to the proximity of consumer markets. The article presents a study which evaluated thyroid volume, ultrasonographic abnormalities and urinary iodine excretion (UIE) in schoolchildren living in an iodine-sufficient area in southern Brazil. It explains that high levels of iodine may induce autoimmune thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, goiter and hyperthyroidism mostly in the elderly. Results of the tests show high levels of UIE and abnormalities detected including hemiagenesis, nodules, cysts and hypoechogenicity which have all been linked to excessive iodine intake.

• Phlebotominae cave fauna are little studied. • The genus Lutzomyia is most abundant in cave environments. • The Deanemyia genus is reported for the first time in Mato Grosso do Sul state. • No great difference in richness was found between the environments. • The diversity index inside the cave was lower than in other environments in view of the great frequency of Lu. dispar. The interior of caves usually presents climate, light, soil, flora and fauna that distinguish it from the external environment. Among the sandfly species found in caves, several may act as vectors of Leishmania spp. and others are a nuisance to humans due to their painful bites. This study sought to identify the phlebotomine fauna in a cavern with cave paintings ("Gruta do Pitoco") which attract tourists in Alcinopólis municipality, Mato Grosso do Sul state, Brazil. The sandflies were collected from March 2014 to September 2015, with automatic light traps, installed monthly, in the entrance and interior of the cave and outside it. A total of 7645 specimens belonging to 27 species were collected. Lutzomyia dispar, Martinsmyia oliverai and those of the Lu. longipalpis complex (Lu. cruzi and Lu. longipalpis) were the predominant species. Among the three environments sampled, no great difference between species richness was observed. Comparing these environments, the interior of the cave presented the lowest diversity index due to the high frequency of Lu. dispar (46%). For the first time, specimens (only females) of the genus Deanemyia were collected in Mato Grosso do Sul state. Moreover, the study revealed the sympatric occurrence of Lu. cruzi and Lu. longipalpis , both proven vectors of L. infantum, and also Lu. dispar , a highly anthropophilic species, which often causes annoyance to those who visit the cave. Guaraná is indigenous to the Brazilian Amazon where it has cultural and agroeconomic significance. However, its cultivation is constrained by a disease termed oversprouting of guaraná caused by Fusarium decemcellulare , with yield losses reaching as high as 100%. The disease can affect different parts of the plant, causing floral hypertrophy and hyperplasia, stem galls, and oversprouting of vegetative buds. To date, no study has been conducted characterizing the genetic diversity and population structure of this pathogen. Here, we report genetic diversity and genetic structure among 224 isolates from eight guaraná production areas of Amazonas State, Brazil, that were genotyped using a set of 10 inter-simple-sequence repeat (ISSR) markers. Despite moderate gene diversity (Hexp = 0.21 to 0.32), genotypic diversity was at or near maximum (223 multilocus genotypes among 224 isolates). Population genetic analysis of the 10 ISSR marker fragments with STRUCTURE software identified two populations designated C1 and C2 within the F . decemcellulare collection from the eight sites. Likewise, UPGMA hierarchical clustering and discriminant analysis of principal components of the strains from guaraná resolved these same two groups. Analysis of molecular variance demonstrated that 71% of genetic diversity occurred within the C1 and C2 populations. A pairwise comparison of sampling sites for both genetic populations revealed that 59 of 66 were differentiated from one another ( P < 0.05), and high and significant gene flow was detected only between sampling sites assigned to the same genetic population. The presence of MAT1-1 and MAT1-2 strains, in conjunction with the high genotypic diversity and no significant linkage disequilibrium, suggests that each population of F. decemcellulare might be undergoing sexual reproduction. Isolation by distance was not observed (R 2 = 0.02885, P > 0.05), which suggests that human-mediated movement of seedlings may have played a role in shaping the F. decemcellulare genetic structure in Amazonas State, Brazil., Competing Interests: The author(s) declare no conflict of interest.
