Abstract

The article focuses on Turkish influence and foreign policy in the Balkans in 2011. It states that attempts by Turkey to mend a rift between two Islamic groups in Serbia quickly fell apart and that Turkish efforts to reconcile Serbia with Bosnian Muslim politicians failed to significantly improve relations. It talks about Turkish soft power and mentions that Turkish soap operas have become more popular than Latin American soap operas in the region. It comments on Turkish regional investments.
