The article presents the study which compared the duration of untreated psychosis (DUP) in high-income (HI) countries and in low- and middle-income (LAMI) countries. In the study, the representative of HI countries was Vienna, Austria, while LAMI countries were represented by Lahore, Pakistan. It cites that the criteria contained in the book "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders," fourth edition, were used in the study.
