The article offers information on the intelligence-led policing which is also known as intelligence-driven policing in Australia. It reports that intelligence-led policing, which is commonly used in the Australian law enforcement, aims to reduce crime rates. It discusses the origin of the policing which is reported to originate from Great Britain in the late 1980s to address policing issues. The intelligence-led policing objectives interpreted in the Great Britain National Intelligence Model which are disseminated by the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS) are also presented including the targeting of offenders, crime management, and crime prevention.
