Describes the environmental protection system of the BP Refinery Ltd. facility in eastern Australia using a sequencing batch reactor technology. Better quality of treated effluent provided by the wastewater treatment plant upgrade; Allowance of retro-fit of the earthen lagoon without the need for any additional substantial concrete structures.
