The article presents a follow-up to a two-part series entitled "The Capital Crisis in Maricopa County: What (Little) We Can Do About It" which appeared in the April and May 2009 issues of the periodical "Arizona Attorney," focusing on a review of the capital punishment process in Maricopa County, Arizona between August 31, 2008 and July 1, 2011. The reported complexities of preparing a capital case for trial are discussed, along with an analysis of state and federal appellate and post-conviction relief processes. The county's Capital Case Task Force is also mentioned.
