Abstract

This article discusses the effort of Saint Michael Indian School in Saint Michaels, Arizona, to continue its mission to provide a quality Catholic education. The authors explore the changes occurred at the school since Mother Katherine Drexel founded it in 1902. They then describe the role of Catholicism in fulfilling the mission of the school. In addition, the authors highlight some of the educational achievements of the school.
