Divorce concluding family life in Aleppo ,generally , occurs according to ex parte declaration of intention of man, conditional divorce, divorce from absent husband and bilateral agreement. Divorces were processed in accordance with Islamic law. While the Ottoman government wanted that marriage and divorce processes should be done at religious institutions at the certificate of Metropolitan assignment, non-Muslims went to religious courts by choosing Islamic law to take legal action. The mean of amount of bride price(mahr) in Aleppo be paid in the form of before and then is 65 gold. Women could easily legitate for bride price and to protect their rights about other issues. They also legitated confidential issues about their marriage .The amount of bride price is high by comparison with house, shop, horse, camel and service of transportation. The high amount of bride price makes difficult divorce and remarriage. During the Ottoman period, the amount of bride price decreased and at the beginning of century XIX. the amount of bride price decreased by 80-90% compared to century of XVI. The tendency of reduction amount of bride price to make easier marriage is reflected law after Reform(Tanzimat) and the amount of bride price decline as a symbolic level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
