Abstract

The article discusses the study which aims to determine the occurrence of foodborne bacteria in Alberta feedlots. It examined the samples from cattle manure, beef carcasses, catch basin water, and soils receiving manure application. The study found that the generic Escherichia coli, E. coli O157, Salmonella, and Campylobacter are present in the samples.
