Abstract

The article reports on the test marketing for the iconic Coke contour bottle in a large two-liter size by Coca-Cola North America in Birmingham, Alabama and Chattanooga, Tennessee. The new bottle was preferred overwhelmingly over the traditional, straight-wall two-liter container in consumer tests. The two cities will benefit from special recycling initiatives that Coca-Cola and the bottler have created to commemorate the introduction of the bottle.
