The article provides information about the cooperative education programs African Education Program and Indian Program. These programs aim to promote science and mathematics teaching in developing countries, and improve educational system which will turn out trained people to create a contemporary industrialized society. They are carried out by groups in the U.S. to provide higher technological training. The curriculums in the African Education Program are handled by the private, nonprofit organization Educational Development Center in Newton, Massachusetts, while the Indian Program is supported by a consortium of the best engineering schools in the U.S.
