The article presents information on the Nubian ibex, a type of wild goat found on the mountaintops of the rocky deserts of Northern Africa. Ibexes have light brown coats with darker tails. Their coloring helps them to be completely camouflaged against a vast rock face. The male ibex has curved horns; they can be up to 56 inches long. The female ibex's horns are shorter, but both types of horns are sturdy. The Nubian ibex is an endangered species.
