Abstract

The article discusses a study which analyzed the concept of personal health records (PHRs) in selected countries and Iran. Topics covered include the benefits of PHRs, the use of a descriptive-comparative method in investigating the gaps between Iran and more advanced countries and the need to develop the necessary knowledge and rules before PHRs can be profitably used in the health administration of a developing country.
