The article focuses on the study that evaluates the social aspirations, everyday stressors, psychological distress and mental health problems in an urban elite of young Afghans in Kabul, Afghanistan. The study focuses on the factors affecting the widespread frustrations, hinging on restricted opportunities for social advancement, education and employment. Results that show the psychological stress, considering the context of persistent insecurity and widening economic inequality are included.
