Aim: This meta-analysis aimed to assess the precision of Sonazoid contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) to distinguish hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) from focal liver lesions (FLLs). Material and methods: The Cochrane Library, Embase, PubMed, and Web of Science databases were systematically searched and checked for studies using Sonazoid CEUS to characterize HCC. A comprehensive meta-analysis was conducted, involving data pooling, subgroup analyses, meta-regression, and investigation of publication bias. Results: The meta-analysis included fourteen studies. The overall diagnostic accuracy for characterizing HCC was as follows (all ranges show the 95% confidence interval): pooled sensitivity of 0.87 (0.80–0.92), pooled specificity of 0.95 (0.91–0.97), and a diagnostic odds ratio of 121 (61–241). The overall weighted area under the curve was 0.97 (0.95–0.98). The pooled sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic odds ratio for Sonazoid and Sonovue were 0.75 (0.63– 0.84), 0.97 (0.86–0.99), 82 (15–445); and 0.64 (0.51–0.76), 0.98 (0.91–0.99), 72 (17–311), respectively. The sources of heterogeneity were identified as the study location, prevailing risk factor, reference diagnosis standard, criteria of Sonazoid CUES, and the proportion of cases of HCC. We observed no potential publication bias. Conclusion: Sonazoid CEUS is efficient to distinguish HCC from FLLs, with good sensitivity and specificity. Multimetric indices (MMIs) are used worldwide to assess the ecological conditions of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Different criteria and approaches are used to construct MMIs, resulting in widely different indices. Therefore, scientists, managers, and policymakers sometimes question whether such MMIs are useful for biomonitoring and bioassessment programs. Crucial design issues for biomonitoring programs include MMI responsiveness, the bioindicator group used, survey design, field sampling methods, level of taxonomic resolution, metric selection and scoring, and reference condition identification. We performed a meta-analysis on MMI development and applications worldwide to analyze the response of MMIs to different disturbance factors and to determine the degree to which MMI construction features influence their responsiveness to anthropogenic disturbances. We used the Web of Science database to find articles that applied an MMI and related MMI values to an environmental stressor, and we extracted data from 157 articles. We performed random-effects modeling to estimate the overall effect of MMI responses to disturbance and used subgroup analysis to analyze the extent to which the effect sizes varied as a function of different MMI construction features. We found that reference condition criteria had the major effect on MMI responses to disturbance. The environmental disturbance type, the number of metrics, and the ecosystem type to which MMIs were applied contributed more weakly to the effect size variance. The general response of MMIs to disturbance was little affected by the bioindicator group, taxonomic resolution, metric selection criteria, or scoring method. These findings have important implications for designing biomonitoring programs, including developing and improving cost-effective biological indices, because they could enhance MMI development and application protocols. The floating toe deformity is classified as a forefoot deformity wherein the distal portion of the toe does not establish touch with the ground, resulting in a suspended or elevated position while the finger is in a relaxed state. At first, it garnered considerable interest as a complication It is worth noting that this condition is particularly common in children under the age of 8, which usually disappears as the individual reaches maturity. Studies have shown that with the aggravation of floating toe deformity, its adverse effects on patients' gait and overall quality of life also increase. Despite the prevalence of floating toe deformity in clinical settings, there is a lack of comprehensive literature investigating its underlying causes and potential preventive strategies. This scope review follows the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta‐analyses extension for scoping reviews (PRISMA‐ScR) statement guidelines for scope reviews. The literature was obtained from various full‐text databases, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI), Wanfang Database, PubMed, and Web of Science Database. Our search focused on published literature related to floating toes, Weil osteotomy, and distal metatarsal osteotomy, up until March 1, 2023. The literature search and data analysis are conducted by two independent reviewers. If there are any disagreements, a third researcher will participate in the discussion and negotiate a decision. Furthermore, two experienced foot and ankle surgeons conducted a thorough literature analysis for this review. Sixty‐two articles were included. Through the clinical analysis of the structural changes of the forefoot before and after operation, the classification of floating toe was described, the causes of pathological floating toe were summarized, and the possible intervention measures for the disease were put forward under the advice of foot and ankle surgery experts. We comprehensively summarize the current knowledge system about the etiology of floating toe and put forward the corresponding intervention strategy. We recommend that future studies will focus on the improvement of surgical procedures, such as the combination of Weil osteotomy, proximal interphalangeal (PIP) arthrodesis and flexor tendon arthrodesis. Culture affects individuals' perceptions and experiences of their bodies. In order to provide the most effective solutions to body image-related issues, it is necessary to understand cultures and their influences on body image in various populations. This paper focuses on the effects of culture on body image. Therefore, a systematic literature search following PRISMA guidelines was performed in the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, yielding 2064 articles published between 1990 and 2023. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 54 articles were selected. Our findings showed a strong influence of culture on body image, highlighting the impact of societal expectations on individuals' mental well-being. Western cultures, with their preference for thinness, differ from non-Western ideals. The findings also showed the impact of regional variations within the same culture and society on body image. Furthermore, the study found that the young demographic, especially females, is the most vulnerable to body image issues; however, emerging research within our review also indicates a growing concern among males. This study underscores the necessity of culturally considering interventions to address body image issues, which are integral to improving mental health concerns like body dissatisfaction, eating disorders, depression, low self-esteem, and anxiety. Objective: to identify research on public governance during the period from 2019 to 2023 through research in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Methodology: this is a systematic literature review, using a quantitative approach. Results: it was evident that, in relation to the methodological approach, a certain equivalence was observed between quantitative and qualitative approaches, as well as between theoretical and empirical models, and that only one study dealt with public governance under the context of Covid-19. The scientific production related to the aforementioned theme did not reflect the diversity of Brazilian states, given that 65% of the selected works came from authors from the Rio de Janeiro and Paraná axis. Of the 20 (twenty) articles researched, the authors cover only eight Brazilian states. Conclusions: this article makes important contributions regarding the systematization of robust and updated literature on the topic, which can serve as guidance for future research. Background: The purpose of this review is to clarify the natural course of benign paroxysmal torticollis (BPT) and update the information on the relationship of this disorder with migraine. BPT belongs to a group of "episodic syndromes that may be associated with migraine" and is diagnosed according to diagnostic criteria of the International Classification of Headache Disorders, 3rd edition. BPT affects infants and young children and is often an underdiagnosed manifestation since it is not recognized in cases with a benign evolution, requiring a careful differential diagnosis. It was first described by Snyder in 1969 as a movement disorder, a cervical dystonia consequent to labyrinthic disorder. Materials and methods: The PubMed and Web of Science databases were consulted from 1968 to 2024, according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. Results: In total, 113 articles were identified, 86 selected, and 25 considered for the purpose of this review. Clinical studies were considered in relation to evolution, cognitive, and motor development; genetic and not genetic etiology; the relationship with migraine with and without aura; vestibular migraine; hemiplegic migraine; and paroxysmal vertigo. Trauma-related esophageal injuries (TEIs) are a rare but highly lethal condition. The presentation of TEIs is very diverse depending on the location and mechanism of injury (blunt vs. penetrating), as well as the presence or absence of concurrent injuries. The aim of the present systematic review and meta-analysis is to delineate the clinical features impacting TEI management. A systematic review of the Medline, Embase, and web of science databases was undertaken for studies reporting on patients with TEIs. A random effects model was employed in the meta-analysis of aggregated data. Eleven studies, incorporating 4605 patients, were included, with a pooled mortality rate of 19% (95% confidence interval (CI) 13–25%). Penetrating injuries were 34% more likely to occur (RR 0.66, 95% CI 0.49–0.89, P  = 0.01), predominantly in the neck compartment. Surgery was employed in 53% of cases (95% CI 32–73%), with 68% of patients having associated injuries (95% CI 43–94%). In terms of choice of surgical repair technique, primary suture repair was most frequently reported, irrespective of injury location. Postoperative drainage was employed in 27% of the cases and was more common following repair of thoracic esophageal injuries. The estimated dependence on mechanical ventilation was 5.91 days (95% CI 5.1–6.72 days), while the length of stay in the intensive care unit averaged 7.89 days (95% CI 7.14–8.65 days). TEIs are uncommon injuries in trauma patients, associated with considerable mortality and morbidity. People with disabilities face daily barriers arising from the physical, material, or social environment in which they live. In order to make such an environment fully inclusive, accessibility must be guaranteed, the necessary adaptations must be made, and the abilities of each individual must be recognised. This article shows the results of a research carried out with the aim of checking whether libraries are responding to the needs of users with disabilities. It analyses the scientific production in this field over the last fifty years related to accessibility and inclusion initiatives aimed at guaranteeing access to information for people with disabilities according to the type of disability. This analysis is based on a systematic review of the use of the concepts of "accessibility" and "inclusion" related to "library" in the scientific production in the field of Library and Information Science in the databases of Web of Science, Scopus and Library Science Database, aiming to study the attention paid to people with disabilities and, in particular, to people with hearing disability. Purpose: Alcohol is implicated in epileptogenesis and seizures attack. An increasing number of studies about alcohol and epilepsy have been published. We aimed to assess research trends and hot spots in the field of alcohol and epilepsy. Patients and Methods: Literature concerning alcohol and epilepsy was systemically searched through the Web of Science database. Collaborative maps were quantitatively analyzed by using the VOSviewer and CiteSpace tools. Results: A total of 1578 papers about the field of alcohol and epilepsy were taken into analysis, which was written by 6840 authors from 2153 institutions in 85 countries, published in 676 journals, and cited 79 667 references from 10 750 journals. The United States was the leading country and had close ties with others. The University of Toronto was the most productive institution. Alcoholism‐clinical and experimental research was the fastest‐growing journal. Richard J. Bodnar was the author contributing the most literature. Analysis of keywords showed epilepsy, alcohol, seizures, alcohol withdrawal, and management were common themes. Conclusion: The presented study conducted the first bibliometric analysis of the field of alcohol and epilepsy, which will provide insights into the latest progress, evolution paths, frontier research hot spots, and future research trends in the field. Objective: To assess the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound for detecting placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) during the first trimester of pregnancy and compare it with the accuracy of second‐ and third‐trimester ultrasound examination in pregnancies at risk for PAS. Methods: PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science databases were searched to identify relevant studies published from inception until 10 March 2023. Inclusion criteria were cohort, case–control or cross‐sectional studies that evaluated the accuracy of ultrasound examination performed at < 14 weeks of gestation (first trimester) or ≥ 14 weeks of gestation (second/third trimester) for the diagnosis of PAS in pregnancies with clinical risk factors. The primary outcome was the diagnostic accuracy of sonography in detecting PAS in the first trimester, compared with the accuracy of ultrasound examination in the second and third trimesters. The secondary outcome was the diagnostic accuracy of each sonographic marker individually across the trimesters of pregnancy. The reference standard was PAS confirmed at pathological or surgical examination. The potential of ultrasound and different ultrasound signs to detect PAS was assessed by computing summary estimates of sensitivity, specificity, diagnostic odds ratio and positive and negative likelihood ratios. Results: A total of 37 studies, including 5764 pregnancies at risk of PAS, with 1348 cases of confirmed PAS, were included in our analysis. The meta‐analysis demonstrated that ultrasound had a sensitivity of 86% (95% CI, 78–92%) and specificity of 63% (95% CI, 55–70%) during the first trimester, and a sensitivity of 88% (95% CI, 84–91%) and specificity of 92% (95% CI, 85–96%) during the second/third trimester. Regarding sonographic markers examined in the first trimester, lower uterine hypervascularity exhibited the highest sensitivity (97% (95% CI, 19–100%)), and uterovesical interface irregularity demonstrated the highest specificity (99% (95% CI, 96–100%)). In the second/third trimester, loss of clear zone had the highest sensitivity (80% (95% CI, 72–86%)), and uterovesical interface irregularity exhibited the highest specificity (99% (95% CI, 97–100%)). Conclusions: First‐trimester ultrasound examination has similar accuracy to second‐ and third‐trimester ultrasound examinations for the diagnosis of PAS. Innovation scholars disseminate their significant findings through international scientific journals. We conducted content analysis of 2,869 peer-reviewed articles on innovation in Africa, examining their origins, themes, collaborative networks, and scholarly influence. These articles, spanning the years 2015–2021, were curated from the Web of Science database across scientific, social science, and humanities journals. The findings reveal that 46.3% of these articles lacked contributions from African organizations or scholars, while 25.1% involved collaborations between African and non-African entities. A remaining 28.6% were exclusively authored by African scholars, with South African universities being the most frequent contributors. Notably, articles authored by scholars from non-African institutions garnered more citations and appeared in journals with higher impact factors. Key themes within these articles revolved around the knowledge economy, African business innovation, agricultural advancements, and the role of mobile phones in knowledge dissemination and marketing. Surprisingly, sustainability topics were notably absent. South Africa, Kenya, and Ghana featured prominently in the discussions. In conclusion, it is imperative to foster broader participation from African nations and scholars in innovation research and ensure a stronger African perspective in international publications. This study aimed to investigate LEED, BREEAM, Green Star, and CASBEE certification systems and assess their integration potential with BIM as facilitator to test different project alternatives in order to help achieve certification system requirements. A literature review was conducted, in which 299 articles were retrieved from the Scopus and Web of Science databases and refined using the Bibliometrix tool, resulting in a total of 271 published articles. Of these, 15 used tools to facilitate BIM-LEED integration and were therefore selected for analysis. The results indicate that integrating BIM and green building rating systems can make the process more agile and standardized. However, more research in this field is needed, especially investigating the suitability of BIM authoring tools other than Revit, and evaluating the efficiency of commercial tools and those developed in scientific research to assist in the certification process. Participatory budgeting was introduced in Latin America in 1989, and within 10 years, this innovation spread all over the world. At the same time, researchers outside Latin America showed a growing interest in the issue, resulting in more diversified research. A few scholars have already tried to provide comprehensive literature reviews; however, these efforts have had a narrow focus or have appeared as embedded parts of analyses of specific issues. This article aims to (1) identify recent worldwide research trends in participatory budgeting, (2) identify the most popular issues addressed by international research and (3) suggest avenues and subfields of further research. Background: This study aimed to investigate the association between sex hormones and the risk of pulmonary fibrosis by conducting a meta-analysis of previously published studies. Methods: We executed a comprehensive search of the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases to locate pertinent studies published up to April 2024. We included studies that reported the association between sex hormones and the risk of pulmonary fibrosis. Standardized mean difference (SMD) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using a random-effects model. Results: A total of 10 articles, encompassing 1371 patients, were finally incorporated in this meta-analysis. Based on the evaluation of the included studies, it was observed that the levels of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S) (pooled SMD: −0.72, 95% CI: −1.21 to −0.24, p < 0.001), testosterone (pooled SMD: −1.25, CI: −2.39 and −0.11, p < 0.001) and estrogen (pooled SMD: −0.56, 95% CI: −0.96 to −0.15, p < 0.001) were significantly lower in patients with pulmonary fibrosis, whereas the levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) remained unaffected. Publication bias was ruled out through funnel plots. Conclusion: This meta-analysis indicates that reduced levels of DHEA-S, testosterone, estrogen may serve as potential risk factors for pulmonary fibrosis. There is a pressing need for additional studies to confirm this association and explore the underlying biological mechanisms. Background: Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is a key hormone factor that regulates glucose and lipid homeostasis. Exercise may regulate its effects and affect disease states. Therefore, we sought to determine how exercise affects FGF21 concentrations in adults. Methods: The review was registered in the International Prospective Systematic Review (PROSPERO, CRD42023471163). The Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Web of Science databases were searched for studies through July 2023. Studies that assessed the effects of exercise training on FGF21 concentration in adults were included. The random effect model, data with standardized mean difference (SMD), and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were used to evaluate the pooled effect size of exercise training on FGF21. The risk of heterogeneity and bias were evaluated. A total of 12 studies involving 401 participants were included. Results: The total effect size was 0.3 (95% CI [−0.3–0.89], p = 0.33) when comparing participants who exercised to those who were sedentary. However, subgroup analysis indicated that concurrent exercise and a duration ≥10 weeks significantly decreased FGF21 concentrations with an effect size of −0.38 (95% CI [−0.74–−0.01], p < 0.05) and −0.38 (95% CI [−0.63–−0.13], p < 0.01), respectively. Conclusion: Concurrent exercise and longer duration may be more efficient way to decrease FGF21 concentrations in adults with metabolic disorder. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Brolucizumab for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (n-AMD) through a systematic review and meta-analysis. Materials and Methods: Cochrane, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases were comprehensively searched for relevant studies. Stata and RevMan5.4 were applied for meta-analysis and risk of bias assessment. Data on the best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), central subfield thickness (CSFT), presence of intraretinal fluid (IRF) and/or subretinal fluid (SRF), participants with ≥1 serious adverse events, and participants with ≥1 adverse events were analyzed. Results: Six studies were finally included. Meta-analysis showed statistical differences in BCVA [SMD = −0.65, 95% CI [−0.17 to −0.23], P < 0.05], the presence of IRF and/or SRF [RR = 0.67, 95% CI [0.56–0.79], P < 0.05], and the safety of participants with ≥1 serious adverse events [RR = 0.57, 95% CI [0.39–0.84], P < 0.05] between the experimental group and the control group. However, no statistical differences were observed in CSFT [SMD = −1.16, 95% CI [−2.79 to 0.47], P > 0.05] or the safety of participants with ≥1 adverse events [RR = 1.07, 95% CI [0.97–1.17], P > 0.05]. Conclusions: Compared to other anti-VEGF drugs such as Aflibercept and Ranibizumab, intravitreal injection of 6 mg Brolucizumab is more effective and safer for n-AMD, especially in the presence of IRF and/or SRF, and for participants with ≥1 serious adverse events. This scoping review explores the potential of electronic health records (EHR)-based studies to characterize long COVID. We screened all peer-reviewed publications in the English language from PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, and Web of Science databases until 14 September 2023, to identify the studies that defined or characterized long COVID based on data sources that utilized EHR in the United States, regardless of study design. We identified only 17 articles meeting the inclusion criteria. Respiratory conditions were consistently significant in all studies, followed by poor well-being features (n = 14, 82%) and cardiovascular conditions (n = 12, 71%). Some articles (n = 7, 41%) used a long COVID-specific marker to define the study population, relying mainly on ICD-10 codes and clinical visits for post-COVID-19 conditions. Among studies exploring plausible long COVID (n = 10, 59%), the most common methods were RT-PCR and antigen tests. The time delay for EHR data extraction post-test varied, ranging from four weeks to more than three months; however, most studies considering plausible long COVID used a waiting period of 28 to 31 days. Our findings suggest a limited utilization of EHR-derived data sources in defining long COVID, with only 59% of these studies incorporating a validation step. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bibliographic databases are used to measure the performance of researchers, universities and research institutions. Thus, high data quality is required and data duplication is avoided. One of the weaknesses of the threshold-based approach in duplication detection is the low accuracy level. Therefore, another approach is required to improve duplication detection. This study proposes a method that combines threshold-based and rule-based approaches to perform duplication detection. These two approaches are implemented in the comparison stage. The cosine similarity function is used to create weight vectors from the features. Then, the comparison operator is used to determine whether the pair of records are grouped as duplication or not. Three research databases: Web of Science (WoS), Scopus, and Google Scholar (GS) on the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) database are investigated. Rule 4 and Rule 5 provide the best performance. For WoS dataset, the accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-measure values were 100.00%. For Scopus dataset, the accuracy and precision values were 100.00%, recall: 98.00%, and the F1-measure value is 98.00%. For GS dataset, the accuracy value was 100.00%, precision: 99.00%, recall: 97.00%, and the F1-measure value is 98.00%. Purpose: Two closely related research objectives have been constructed, aimed at exploring scientific studies dealing simultaneously with the issues of greenwashing and the green economy. The first objective is to identify the most frequently undertaken research areas in the indicated area. While the second objective of the study is to identify the green research areas highlighted by researchers through the author's keywords. Design/methodology/approach: The study used two research methods (systematic literature review and classical literature review). The bibliometric queries created allowed the exploration of two databases (Scopus and Web of Science). The result of the exploration carried out in the research procedure was the selection for analysis of 37 scientific papers that simultaneously dealt with the issues of greenwashing and the green economy. Findings: The analyses carried out showed that the issue addressed is a relatively new research area, and thus further development of research in this area can be expected in the future. Conclusions of the analysis lead to the conclusion that greenwashing is a very unfavorable phenomenon that contributes to the problem of correct verification of the scale of greening the economy. Hence the need to expose this type of practice. Research limitations/implications: Conducting research based on other databases can lead to different results in terms of the green research areas identified. This issue is because the various bibliometric databases do not overlap. The indicated aspect is shown in the article by presenting the issue of Scopus and Web of Science databases. In the study, however, universal bibliometric queries were used. They can be applied to various bibliometric databases after their proper syntactic adjustment. The queries used (Q1 and Q2) can be reused in the future for comparative purposes of changes over time. Originality/value: Promising future research directions around greenwashing and the green economy were identified. Such areas could be, especially, the question of the impact of greenwashing practices on the creation of quality green jobs, or the issue of the green skills gap. Purpose: The overall aim of the presented paper was to identify the main areas of application of artificial intelligence in advertising activities. Design/methodology/approach: In order to realise the objectives of this paper, it was decided to use two research methods: bibliometric analysis and a multiple case study. First, a quantitative analysis of the resources of the Scopus and Web of Science databases was carried out, which was used to isolate the main research areas concerning the application of artificial intelligence in advertising. Next, examples of advertisements from the business world that use artificial intelligence were searched for and assigned to each research area. In the final phase, the case studies were related to the results of a qualitative analysis of the literature exported during bibliometric research. Findings: With capabilities such as analysing, automating, creating and optimising, AI systems can have a variety of applications in advertising. In particular, they are used to monitor trends, targeting, behavioural prediction, personalisation, creation, audience interaction and engagement. Research limitations/implications: The article contains a preliminary study. In the future it is planned to conduct additional quantitative and qualitative research. Practical implications: The conclusions of the study can serve to better understand the relevance of artificial intelligence for the advertising industry and the practical possibilities of its use. The results of the study can be used both in market practice and as inspiration for further research in this area. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of research on asset pricing and identifies and highlights the most significant authors, keywords, articles, and journals based on a systematic literature review and Bibliometric analysis of 915 documents published over 33 years (1989-2022), obtained from the web of science database, to discover the noticeable landscape and research horizons in the field of asset pricing theory. This descriptive study demonstrates an upward trend in "asset pricing' papers in business and finance journals. According to the report, the United States is the leading contributor to the "asset pricing" study, followed by the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Canada, and France. The authors, papers, and citation-based analyses show that Acharya vv; Albuquerque R, Aih, and Acciaio B are the most effective and influential asset pricing researchers, followed by Affleck Graves J and Akdeniz L. In terms of restrictions, our research is limited to the Web of Science database. Investigations from other databases could be used in future studies. We've also limited Bibliometric analysis to a few dimensions. Future research would look at networking from a different perspective. This study aims to reveal the relationship between architecture and sustainability in the approximately half-century history of sustainability. The study reveals bibliographic characteristics such as change, trend, period, country and author in the terminology of sustainable architecture. A systematic literature review was carried out using bibliometric analysis to produce a performance analysis and science mapping of scientific studies in the field. Bibliometric network visualisations were created using VOSviewer software to analyse the conceptual, social and intellectual structure of the field. This study contributes to the literature by deciphering the bibliographic parameters of sustainable architecture studies conducted between 1975 and 2022. It also identifies current trends in the field and provides a chronological perspective on scholarly studies based on environmentally conscious architectural approaches. The scope of the study is limited to sustainable architecture studies in the Web of Science database, taking into account the range of resources and the speed of indexing. The studies were carried out using 15 keywords, which were predetermined for the scope and focus of the research. This study has enabled real and legal researchers to follow the developments and current course in the field. The broad temporal scope of this study, with its unique combination of research and potential to inform practice, underlines its contribution to the discourse on sustainable architecture and firmly establishes its rightful place. The analysis shows that research has gained momentum in recent years. Today, concepts such as sustainable architecture, climate change, sociocultural sustainability and reuse have come to the fore. Background: The oral and maxillofacial complex is subject to a range of traumas. Injuries to the region are devastating and have a great impact on social health outcomes. This review intends to investigate the aetiologies of maxillofacial trauma across Australia. Methods: This review was written in accordance with the PRISMA‐ScR. Comprehensive searches of CINAHL, MEDLINE, Ovid, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were conducted to identify potentially relevant literature. Quantitative observational epidemiological studies were sought and were required to include at least one aetiology to the maxillofacial region in their data set. A total of 31 eligible studies were included. Results: The greatest recorded causes of maxillofacial injuries included inter‐personal violence (34.98%) falls (20.87%), sports (15.62%), and motor‐vehicle accidents (14.31%). These four aetiologies cumulatively accounted for more than 85% of maxillofacial injuries. From all sustained injuries (n = 7661), the orbit was the most prevalent site of fracture (31.85%), followed by the zygoma (22.01%), mandible (21%), nasal bone (12.45%), maxilla (10.04%), dentoalveolus (1.84%), antrum (<1%), and frontal bone (<1%). Conclusion: Violence was an unprecedented cause of trauma—additional research is recommended to further characterize the correlation between the two variables. The study aimed to summarize current knowledge regarding the use of orthopaedic functional appliances (OFA) in managing unilateral craniofacial microsomia (UCM). The eligibility criteria for the review were (1) assessing use of OFA as a stand‐alone treatment and (2) using OFA in combination during or after MDO. The PICO (population, intervention, comparison and outcome) format formulated clinical questions with defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. No limitations concerning language and publication year were applied. Information sources: A literature search of Medline, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science databases without restrictions up to 30 September 2022. The risk of bias was assessed. According to Cochrane and PRISMA guidelines, two independent authors conducted data extraction. The level of evidence for included articles was evaluated based on the Oxford evidence‐based medicine database. Due to the heterogeneity of studies and insufficient data for statistical pooling, meta‐analysis was not feasible. Therefore, the results were synthesized narratively. A total of 437 articles were retrieved. Of these, nine met inclusion criteria: five assessing OFA and four assessing OFA during or after MDO. There is limited evidence to suggest that stand‐alone and combination treatment with OFA is beneficial for treating mild‐to‐moderate UCM‐related dentofacial deformities in short term. No studies assessed the burden of care. In the management of UCM, there is insufficient evidence supporting the efficacy of OFA as a stand‐alone treatment or when combined with MDO. In consumer finance, certain experiences are recognized in international markets in the use of complementary and social currencies, due to their effects on social inclusion and the reduction of capital accumulation in a globalized economy. In this context, the article aims to review ten years of scientific production of social currency in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. In order to achieve the proposed objective, a systematic literature review was carried out, covering three stages: (1) planning the review, (2) conducting the review and (3) presentation of the final report. As a result of the content analysis of the textual corpus (n = 67), we now have an up-to-date overview of the literature, through (1) descriptive analysis, (2) bibliographic coupling analysis and (3) word analysis. In addition, as a main contribution, the following were identified: (1) a typology, formed by three classes, which capture contexts of the use of social currency; (2) a methodological framework; and (3) suggestions for the development of future research. In general, the results show that social currency can serve as a complementary currency to the solidarity economy, since the potential of this currency is not disconnected from objectives and normative standards. It is also known that social currency lends itself to emergency use, as it helps to minimize the anxieties of the excluded. However, for many markets, social currency remains a topic far removed from the reality of the underprivileged population. Purpose: FinTech research has grown rapidly, but few studies have measured the levels of scientific collaboration among authors, institutions, and nations. This study aimed to reveal the status and levels of scientific collaboration in this field. The results will help scholars to combine their knowledge and resources to generate new ideas that may not have been possible if they worked alone and enable them to work more efficiently, resulting in higher-quality results for all parties. Design/methodology/approach: Research papers in the FinTech field indexed in the Web of Science databases from 1999 to 2022 were included in the research dataset. Using R-bibliometrix and VOS viewer (Visualisation of Similarities viewer), co-authorship networks were drawn. Additionally, some measures of the co-authorship network were assessed, such as the links, total link strength, total number of articles, total citations, normalized total citations, average year of publication, average citations, and average normalized normal citations. Beyond bibliometric analyses, this research gathers other statistics for analysis to gain further insights. Result: A total of 1792 publications were identified, and a number of these revealed an increase in the forms of collaboration, including collaboration among authors and institutions. Three lists of the most collaborative authors, institutions, and countries were compiled. The top authors, affiliations, and countries were ranked according to their total links, citations, average citations, and annual normalized citations. There were six distinct clusters of collaboration among authors, thirteen among affiliations, and eleven among countries. In terms of author collaborations, the links and total link strength had three nodes and four nodes, respectively. John Goodell, Chi-Chuan Le, and Shaen Corbet were the top three collaborative authors. In terms of affiliations, the two strength attributes were 8 and 12 nodes, with Sydney University, Hong Kong University, and the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics topping the list. In terms of collaboration among countries, these two attributes had 14 and 34 nodes. Three of the most collaborative countries were England, the People's Republic of China, and the United States. Originality/value: In contrast with previous systematic literature reviews, this study quantitatively examines the collaboration status in the FinTech field on three levels: authors, affiliations, and countries. Scientific research in Social Work has become increasingly important in higher education. Although this discipline's incorporation into academic research was delayed, it remains highly relevant. This article explores and analyzes the current bibliographic production in Social Work in Andalusia, using the Web of Science database. The main objective is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of this field, examining indices related to Social Work and identifying its weaknesses and strengths. The analysis will use three primary tools: SPSS, SCIMAT, and VosViewer. This bibliometric analysis will evaluate the scientific production in Social Work, off ering a comprehensive overview of its scope and quality. Results may indicate that the bibliometric index of this field is below expected or potential standards. Additionally, it might be noted that higher-indexed articles are often written in English by professionals outside the specific field of Social Work. These findings suggest the need to strengthen research in Social Work by increasing scientific production and encouraging the participation of social work professionals in knowledge generation. The results also highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and establishing connections with professionals from other related research areas. This study conducts a systematic literature review to examine the relationship between Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Financial Performance (CFP). ESG represents the non-financial performance of a business, while CFP reflects its financial performance. Achieving long-term success requires firms to find a balance between ESG performance and CFP. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement is employed to analyze the systematic literature review in this investigation. Data for the article were collected from Scopus and Web of Science databases spanning from 2000 to 2022. Both databases show consistent growth rates, with India being their top setting. This study reveals that quantitative techniques have been predominantly used in conducting investigations on this topic. With global emphasis on sustainable development and green economy, expectations of governments, regulators, corporations, and investment organizations have evolved beyond economic sustainability towards considering the well-being and responsibility of enterprises towards various stakeholders. Few scholars have utilized the PRISMA approach to analyze the impact of ESG on CFP; therefore, this study employs it to summarize how ESG ratings influence CFP as a reference for current research stage. Background. Joint articular injection of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) has emerged as a novel treatment approach for osteoarthritis (OA). However, the effectiveness of MSCs derived from different sources in treating OA patients remains unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the differences between the effectiveness and safety of different sources of MSCs. Materials and Methods. For inclusion consideration, we searched trial registries and published databases, including PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and Web of Science databases. Revman (V5.3), STATA (V16.0), and R (V4.0) were utilized for conducting data analysis, while the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool was employed for assessing the quality of the studies. We derived outcome measures at 6 and 12 months based on the duration of study follow-up, including visual analog scale (VAS) score, WOMAC score, WOMAC pain, WOMAC Functional Limitation, and WOMAC stiffness. The evaluation time for short-term effectiveness is set at 6 months, while 12 months is utilized as the longest follow-up time for most studies to assess long-term effectiveness. Results. The evaluation of literature quality showed that the included studies had excellent methodological quality. A meta-analysis revealed that different sources of MSCs improved knee function and pain more effectively among patients suffering from knee OA (KOA) than controls. According to the GRADE scoring system, WOMAC, VAS, and AE scores were of low quality. Conclusion. Meta-analysis suggests MSCs can effectively treat KOA by improving pain and knee function compared to control groups. In terms of functional improvement in KOA patients, both short-term (6-month follow-up) and long-term (12-month follow-up) results indicated that while the differences between most treatments were not statistically significant, bone marrow-derived MSCs may have some advantages over other sources of MSCs. Additionally, BM-MSCs and UC-MSCs may offer certain benefits over ADMSCs in terms of pain relief for KOA patients, although the variances between most studies were not statistically significant. Purpose: Lateral interbody fusion (LIF) is an increasingly popular minimally-invasive spine procedure. This study identifies notable trends in LIF literature and provides a detailed review of the bibliometric aspects of the top 100 most-cited articles. Methods: Articles were queried from the Web of Science database. Inclusion criteria consisted of peer-reviewed articles, full-text availability, and LIF focus. Network analysis including co-authorship mapping and bibliographic coupling were complemented by trend analysis to determine prominent contributors and themes. Analyses were conducted using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix (RStudio). Results: There has been a rapid increase in LIF publication and citation count since 1998. Leading journals were Spine (n = 24), Journal of Neurosurgery Spine (n = 22), and European Spine Journal (n = 12). NuVasive funded the most publications (n = 17), followed by DePuy Synthes Spine (n = 4). The United States was the most represented country (n = 81); however, trend analysis suggests a steadily growing international contribution. The most prolific author was J.S. Uribe (n = 16), followed by a tie in second place by E. Dakwar and L. Pimenta (n = 8). The most frequent keywords, "complication" (n = 34), "surgery" (n = 30), and "outcomes" (n = 24), demonstrated a patient-centric theme. Conclusions: This bibliometric analysis provides in-depth insights into the evolution and trends of LIF over the last two decades. The trends and themes identified demonstrate the innovative, collaborative, and patient-focused characteristics of this subfield. BACKGROUND: With the continuous improvement and progress of the magnetically controlled growing rod technology in the field of the treatment of spinal deformities, numerous studies have been put into this field, but the main research status, hot spots, and development trends are not clear enough. OBJECTIVE: Based on bibliometrics, this paper discusses the quality and quantity of articles in the field of using magnetically controlled growing rods to treat spinal deformities from different countries, aiming to clarify the global development trend of magnetically controlled growing rods and evaluate the research productivity, research trends, and research hotspots in the world. METHODS: The articles published from 1998 to 2023 were retrieved mainly based on the Web of Science database. CiteSpace 5.8 and VOSviewer 1.6.19 software were used to analyze the data and generate a visual knowledge map. The following parameters were evaluated for all studies: the total number of published papers, centrality, h index, the contribution of countries, authors, and journals, and the trend and hot spots were explored through the analysis of co-citation, highly cited literature, and literature keyword explosion. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Finally, 138 articles were included. From 2009 to 2020, the number of published articles in this field gradually increased. The United States has the largest number of articles (53, 37.32%), and the United States has the highest h index and centrality of articles. (2) The results of keyword analysis showed that: the top ten keywords, such as early-onset scoliosis, surgery, complications, and so on, objectively and truly reflected the current situation and hot spots of magnetically controlled growing rod in the field of spinal deformity treatment. In recent years, the research focus in this field is the treatment failure caused by risk factors such as the pull-out of the magnetically controlled growing rod, implantation failure, and rod fracture, the accurate use of the corresponding medical classification, the monitoring and treatment of complications such as quality of life and cerebral palsy. (3) The co-citation results showed that: combined with the innovative and effective research of the magnetically controlled growing rod technology, the classification application of spinal deformity and the monitoring and treatment of related complications may be the research trend in this field. (4) Many highly cited articles further emphasized the therapeutic effect of magnetically controlled growing rod technology, providing an effective new idea and technical support for the field of spinal deformity correction. (5) The results of literature keyword explosion analysis demonstrate that the risk factors, medical classification, quality of life, and cerebral palsy of the application of magnetically controlled growing rods may become the research frontier in this field. (6) It can be seen that the application of magnetically controlled growing rod technology in the classification of spinal deformities and the in-depth study of related complications are the development trend in this field, but to further understand the effectiveness and safety of magnetically controlled growing rod technology in the treatment of spinal deformities, we still need long-term follow-up evidence. The overall research level of this field has steadily improved in recent years, but there are also problems such as the small number of high-quality articles and the unbalanced development of research in various regions. This article aims to fill an existing knowledge gap within the literature: the characteristics of networks of publication on innovation management research and its relationship with country's innovativeness. The study is grounded in the theory that the creation of knowledge and collaboration within networks play a pivotal role in improving a nation's innovation capacity. It presents and describes the characteristics of co-authorship networks of scientific publications among authors from different countries. The published articles were extracted from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, considering a period of 12 years. Following the identification of pivotal countries, the research proceeded to investigate whether their positioning within the network has an impact on their innovation capabilities. To underpin this analysis, data from the Global Innovation Index ranking were employed. Among the six countries demonstrating noteworthy centrality metrics throughout the entire period, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom are also categorized as innovators according to the Global Innovation Index. The overlap observed suggests a relationship between countries maintaining consolidated and resilient innovation networks and positive performance in terms of innovation. In recent years, agroecology has gained prominence as one of the innovative approaches to agriculture that could positively contribute to achieving sustainable food systems. As a transdisciplinary science, agroecology could benefit from the contribution of socio-economic sciences. This study aims to give an overview of how scholars have approached socio-economic issues in the field of agroecology. A scoping review was conducted by using the PRISMA-ScR method, searching both Scopus and Web of Sciences databases. The selected body of literature (183 articles) provides an overview of the key socio-economic dimensions analysed in the literature on agroecology and the results achieved by scholars. Objective: To compare the effects of various sports exercise programs on the core symptoms of patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Methods: We searched the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP databases, Wanfang databases, Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases from their inception to February 2023 for randomized controlled trial that investigated the effect of sports exercise on the core symptoms of ASD. The overall risk of bias in the included literature was summarized using the revised Cochrane Randomized Trial Risk of Bias Tool (ROB2), and network meta-analysis was used to compare the intervention effects. Results: A total of 30 studies involving 1,375 participants were included. The results showed that sports exercise programs, including 8-12weeks of ball sports (SMD= -5.35, 95%CI: -7.57, -3.23), horse riding (SMD= -3.71, 95%CI: -6.18, -1.13), 8-12weeks of comprehensive sports exercise (SMD= -2.17, 95%CI: -3.99, -0.44), and more than 12weeks of comprehensive sports exercise (SMD= -3.75, 95%CI: -6.33, -1.24), significantly improved social interaction disorders. Furthermore, 8-12weeks of ball sports (SMD= -4.36, 95%CI: 2.04, 6.73) and more than 12weeks of comprehensive sports exercise (SMD= 3.65, 95%CI: 1.40, 6.08) significantly improved repetitive behaviors and restricted interests. Purpose: To identify the predictive role of sarcopenia in long-term survival among rectal cancer patients who underwent surgery based on available evidence. Methods: The Medline, EMBASE and Web of Science databases were searched up to October 20, 2023, for relevant studies. Overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) were the endpoints. Hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were combined to evaluate the association between sarcopenia and survival. Results: Fifteen studies with 4283 patients were included. The pooled results demonstrated that preoperative sarcopenia significantly predicted poorer OS (HR = 2.07, 95% CI = 1.67–2.57, P<0.001), DFS (HR = 1.85, 95% CI = 1.39–2.48, P<0.001) and CSS (HR = 1.83, 95% CI = 1.31–2.56, P<0.001). Furthermore, subgroup analysis based on neoadjuvant therapy indicated that sarcopenia was a risk factor for worse OS and DFS in patients who received (OS: HR = 2.44, P<0.001; DFS: HR = 2.16, P<0.001) but not in those who did not receive (OS: HR = 2.44, P<0.001; DDFS: HR = 1.86, P = 0.002) neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. In addition, subgroup analysis based on sample size and ethnicity showed similar results. Conclusion: Preoperative sarcopenia is significantly related to poor survival in surgical rectal cancer patients and could serve as a novel and valuable predictor of long-term prognosis in these patients. BACKGROUND: Blood flow restriction training has broad application prospects in improving limb muscle strength. It has ideal effects on the upper limbs is ideal, and the specific application scheme has high research value. OBJECTIVE: To explain the influence of blood flow restriction training on the fitness benefits of upper limb muscles and summarize the specific programs of blood flow restriction training for upper limb, attempting to give suggestions on application programs based on existing studies. METHODS: Literature on the application of upper limb blood flow restriction training were searched in CNKI, WanFang, VIP, CBM, PubMed, Embase, EBSCO, Cochrane Library and Web of Science databases. The search terms were “blood flow restriction, blood flow restriction training, pressure training, upper limb, upper arm, forearm, arm, forearm” in Chinese and “blood flow restriction training, blood flow restriction exercise, blood flow restriction therapy, BFR therapy, occlusion training, KAATSU training, BFRT, upper extremity, upper limb, arm, forearm” in English. The relevant articles on the application of blood flow restriction training in the upper limbs included in the database from database inception to December 2022 were selected and screened according to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Firstly, blood flow restriction training is mainly applied to healthy people, special athletes and people with upper limb injury. Secondly, the influence of blood flow restriction training on upper limb muscle fitness is mainly reflected in the increase of upper limb circumference, muscle strength, muscle endurance, muscle thickness, muscle cross-sectional area and explosive power of upper limb, followed by the cross migration phenomenon of the upper limbs. Sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), including obstructive and central sleep apnea, significantly exacerbates heart failure (HF) through adverse cardiovascular mechanisms. This review aims to synthesize existing literature to clarify the relationship between SDB and HF, focusing on the pathophysiological mechanisms, diagnostic challenges, and the effectiveness of treatment modalities like continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and adaptive servo-ventilation ASV. We analyzed peer-reviewed articles from 2003 to 2024 sourced from PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The prevalence of SDB in HF patients is high, often underdiagnosed, and underappreciated. Management strategies, including CPAP and ASV, have been shown to mitigate symptoms and improve cardiac function. However, despite the availability of effective treatments, significant challenges in screening and diagnosis persist, affecting patient management and outcomes. DB significantly impacts HF prognosis. Enhanced screening strategies and broader utilization of therapeutic interventions like CPAP and ASV are essential to improve the management and outcomes of HF patients with concomitant SDB. Background: Frailty is a common condition among patients with liver cirrhosis. Nonetheless, its role in predicting liver transplant-free survival (TFS) remains unclear. Aim: This systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to elucidate the relationship between frailty and TFS in patients with cirrhosis. Methods: Cohort studies addressing the objective of this meta-analysis were extracted from PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases. Between-study heterogeneity was assessed with the Cochrane Q test, and the I^2 statistic was estimated. Random-effect models, considering potential heterogeneity, were employed to combine the results. Results: The meta-analysis encompassed 17 cohort studies involving 6273 patients with cirrhosis, of whom 1983 (31.6%) were classified as frail at baseline. The follow-up periods in the included studies ranged from 3 to 29 months, with an average duration of 11.5 months. The analysis revealed that frailty was significantly associated with a poor TFS (risk ratio [RR]: 2.07, 95% confidence interval: 1.72 to 2.50, p<0.001; I2 = 51%). Sensitivity analyses that sequentially omitted one dataset consistently supported these findings (RR: 1.95 to 2.17, p<0.05 in all cases). Subgroup analyses based on variables such as study design, mean age of patients, baseline Model for End-Stage Liver Disease score, tool used for frailty evaluation, follow-up duration, and study quality score also yielded congruent results. Conclusions: The evidence suggests that frailty may be an independent risk factor for poor TFS in patients with liver cirrhosis, thus emphasizing the importance of early identification and management of frailty in this population. BACKGROUND: Existing studies have confirmed that exosomes can effectively promote pulp regeneration. However, the biological functions and properties of exosomes from preconditioned sources can be significantly changed, which have different effects on cell proliferation, migration and odontogenic differentiation. OBJECTIVE: To discuss the application status of exosomes and their preconditioning methods in the field of pulp regeneration, and summarize the preconditioning methods that affect the function of exosomes, and explore the effect of exosomes and their preconditioning on pulp regeneration. METHODS: The relevant articles were searched in WanFang, CNKI, PubMed, and Web of Science databases from 2006 to 2022. The Chinese and English search terms were “exosomes, pulp regeneration; preconditioning method”. A total of 78 articles were included for analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Exosomes have the advantages of good biocompatibility, low immunogenicity and no cytotoxicity, and can induce the regeneration of pulp tissue by promoting stem cell tooth formation, neurogenesis and vascularization. (2) Exosomes derived from preconditioning can enhance the ability of tissue repair and regeneration and have a significant impact on the quality of regenerated dental pulp. (3) Currently, the preconditioning methods used in the field of dental pulp regeneration include inflammatory stimulation, hypoxia induction, conditioned medium and three-dimensional culture, and secreted exosomes can effectively improve the quality of regenerated dental pulp. Background: Exoskeletons are increasingly applied during overground gait and balance rehabilitation following neurological impairment, although optimal parameters for specific indications are yet to be established. Objective: This systematic review aimed to identify dose and dosage of exoskeleton-based therapy protocols for overground locomotor training in spinal cord injury/disease. Methods: A systematic review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. A literature search was performed using the CINAHL Complete, Embase, Emcare Nursing, Medline ALL, and Web of Science databases. Studies in adults with subacute and/or chronic spinal cord injury/disease were included if they reported (1) dose (e.g., single session duration and total number of sessions) and dosage (e.g., frequency of sessions/week and total duration of intervention) parameters, and (2) at least one gait and/or balance outcome measure. Results: Of 2,108 studies identified, after removing duplicates and filtering for inclusion, 19 were selected and dose, dosage and efficacy were abstracted. Data revealed a great heterogeneity in dose, dosage, and indications, with overall recommendation of 60-min sessions delivered 3 times a week, for 9 weeks in 27 sessions. Specific protocols were also identified for functional restoration (60-min, 3 times a week, for 8 weeks/24 sessions) and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation (60-min, 3 times a week, for 12 weeks/36 sessions). Conclusion: This review provides evidence-based best practice recommendations for overground exoskeleton training among individuals with spinal cord injury/disease based on individual therapeutic goals – functional restoration or cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. Whether perioperative red blood cell transfusions increases the risk of postoperative venous thromboembolism is controversial and uncertain.We aims to explore the relationship between perioperative red blood cell transfusions and the risk of postoperative venous thromboembolism by conducting a meta-analysis. To conduct a meta-analysis to systematically evaluate the relationship between perioperative red blood cell transfusions and the risk of postoperative venous thromboembolism. PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, and Web of Science databases were searched to identify studies examining the relationship between perioperative red blood cell transfusions and the risk of postoperative venous thromboembolism. The databases were searched from establishment to August 2023.Two researchers independently screened literature and extracted data according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Newcastle-ottawa Scale was used for quality assessment. Meta-analysis of data was performed using RevMan 5.4 software. A total of 15 studies involving 1,880,990 patients were included in this study.Meta-analysis showed that perioperative red blood cell transfusions increased the risk of postoperative venous thromboembolism [OR = 1.61, 95%CI (1.37, 1.89), P < 0.001]. Subgroup analyses showed that the transfusion dose,transfusion timing,study population and follow-up time were closely related to the risk of postoperative venous thromboembolism. Background: The use of electronic cigarettes has become increasingly popular in recent years. However, the impact that electronic cigarettes have on the ocular surface is not well known. Therefore, the aim of this review is to explore the current literature on the acute and chronic sequelae of electronic cigarettes on the ocular surface. Methods: A systematic review of the literature was undertaken by keyword searching on the Embase, Medline, and Web of Science databases. Articles identified through the search underwent title/abstract screening, full-text screening, and data extraction. Results: A total of 18 studies were included in this review. Non-intended ocular surface exposures and intended exposures on the ocular surface were found to be associated with the use of electronic cigarettes. Conclusions: The impact of vaping on the ocular surface is not benign. There are significant risks that vaping can pose to the ocular surface. Hence, it is necessary to develop appropriate risk communication tools given the increasing popularity of this activity. Background and Aims: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is the standard of care for the management of choledocholithiasis but carries risk of complications which may result in significant morbidity and mortality. While currently available guidelines endorse the use of ERCP for the management of symptomatic common bile duct stones, the need for ERCP in incidentally found asymptomatic choledocholithiasis is more controversial, and practice varies on a geographic and institutional level. This systematic review and meta-analysis is conducted to compare post-ERCP adverse events between asymptomatic and symptomatic choledocholithiasis patients. Methods: We searched PubMed/Embase/Web of Science databases to include all studies comparing post-ERCP outcomes between asymptomatic and symptomatic choledocholithiasis patients. The primary outcome was post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP), while secondary outcomes included post-ERCP cholangitis, bleeding, and perforation. We calculated pooled risk ratios (RR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) using the Mantel–Haenszel method within a random-effect model. Results: Our analysis included six observational studies, totaling 2,178 choledocholithiasis patients (392 asymptomatic and 1786 symptomatic); 53% were female. Asymptomatic patients exhibited a higher risk of PEP compared with symptomatic patients (11.7% versus 4.8%; RR 2.59, 95% CI 1.56–4.31, p ≤ 0.001). No significant difference was observed in post-ERCP cholangitis, bleeding, or perforation rates between the two groups. Conclusions: Asymptomatic patients with choledocholithiasis appear to have a higher risk of PEP than symptomatic patients, while the risk of other post-ERCP adverse events is similar between the two groups. Interventional endoscopists should thoroughly discuss potential adverse events (particularly PEP) with asymptomatic patients before performing ERCP and utilize PEP-prevention measures more liberally in this subgroup of patients. We evaluated the advantages and disadvantages of two phacoemulsification techniques: phaco-chop and divide-and-conquer. Methods: PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, and Web of Science databases were queried for randomized controlled trial (RCT), prospective and retrospective studies that compared the phaco-chop technique over the divide-and-conquer technique and reported the outcomes of (1) Endothelial cell count change (ECC); (2) Ultrasound time (UST); (3) Cumulated dissipated energy (CDE); (4) Surgery time; and (5) Phacoemulsification time (PT). Heterogeneity was examined with I2 statistics. A random-effects model was used for outcomes with high heterogeneity. Results: Nine final studies, (6 prospective RCTs and 3 observational), comprising 837 patients undergoing phacoemulsification. 435 (51.9%) underwent the phaco-chop technique, and 405 (48.1%) underwent divide-and-conquer. Overall, the phaco-chop technique was associated with several advantages: a significant difference in ECC change postoperatively (Mean Difference [MD] − 221.67 Cell/mm2; 95% Confidence Interval [CI] − 401.68 to − 41.66; p < 0.02; I2=73%); a shorter UST (MD − 51.16 sec; 95% CI − 99.4 to − 2.79; p = 0.04; I2=98%); reduced CDE (MD − 8.68 units; 95% CI − 12.76 to − 4.60; p < 0.01; I2=84%); a lower PT (MD − 55.09 sec; 95% CI − 99.29 to − 12.90; p = 0.01; I2=100). There were no significant differences in surgery time (MD − 3.86 min; 95% CI − 9.55 to 1.83; p = 0.18; I2=99%). Conclusion: The phaco-chop technique proved to cause fewer hazards to the corneal endothelium, with less delivered intraocular ultrasound energy when compared to the divide-and-conquer technique. The sexism, as prejudice and discrimination against women, can also be observed in the work environment, in an interpersonal and institutional way, especially in environments considered typically male. In this context, we believe it is important to study sexism in the workplace. That said, we carried out a scoping review in order to identify and analyze studies that deal with "expressions of sexism in the workplace". For this purpose, we performed a bibliographic search in the SciELO, PePSIC, LILACS, Index Psi, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES and Web of Science databases, selecting documents published in article format and articles with descriptors present in the title, abstract, keywords or subject, and excluding duplicate articles, articles without abstract or unavailable in full on the internet and articles that did not deal with the theme as the main focus. Thus, we obtained a final bank consisting of 129 articles, which were analyzed manually and using the IRaMuTeQ software. The results showed a greater publication in recent years, a predominance of quantitative empirical and international articles and that the topic is of multidisciplinary interest, with emphasis on Psychology. The studies present a well-defined methodological structure and emphasize the ambivalent character of sexism, its institutional manifestation and the figure of woman as victim of this phenomenon. The theme is of increasing interest but deserves more attention in the local context. This review brings important contributions and presents limitations and suggestions for future researches. Computer vision (CV) shows increasing promise as an efficient, low‐cost tool for video seizure detection and classification. Here, we provide an overview of the fundamental concepts needed to understand CV and summarize the structure and performance of various model architectures used in video seizure analysis. We conduct a systematic literature review of the PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases from January 1, 2000 to September 15, 2023, to identify the strengths and limitations of CV seizure analysis methods and discuss the utility of these models when applied to different clinical seizure phenotypes. Reviews, nonhuman studies, and those with insufficient or poor quality data are excluded from the review. Of the 1942 records identified, 45 meet inclusion criteria and are analyzed. We conclude that the field has shown tremendous growth over the past 2 decades, leading to several model architectures with impressive accuracy and efficiency. The rapid and scalable detection offered by CV models holds the potential to reduce sudden unexpected death in epilepsy and help alleviate resource limitations in epilepsy monitoring units. However, a lack of standardized, thorough validation measures and concerns about patient privacy remain important obstacles for widespread acceptance and adoption. Background: The approval of selumetinib in patients with neurofibromatosis type 1(NF1) and inoperable plexiform neurofibromas (PN) has reshaped the landscape of clinical management of the disease, and further comprehensive evaluation of the drug's efficacy and safety is needed. Methods: Original articles reporting on the efficacy and safety of elumetinib in patients with NF1 were comprehensively searched in the Pubmed database, Embase database, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science database and screened for inclusion of studies that met the criteria. We pooled the objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), disease progression rate (DPR), and the rate of improvement in PN-related complications using meta-analysis. The incidence of drug-related adverse events was also statistically analyzed. Results: This study included 10 clinical trials involving 268 patients. The pooled ORR was 68.0% (95% CI 58.0–77.3%), the DCR was 96.8% (95% CI 90.8–99.7%) and the DPR was only 1.4% (95% CI 0–4.3%). The pooled improvement rate was 75.3% (95% CI 56.2–90.9%) for pain and 77.8% (95% CI 63.1–92.5%) for motor disorders. Most adverse events were mild, with the most common being gastrointestinal reactions (diarrhea: 62.5%; vomiting: 54.5%). Conclusion: Our study demonstrates that selumetinib is effective in patients with NF1 and PN, significantly improving the serious complications associated with PN as well as having tolerable toxicities. Since ChatGPT launch in November 2022, artificial intelligence has become more and more widespread in all areas of life. Generative applications of artificial intelligence are proliferating in a wide range of fields. The technology has great potential for applications such as machine translation, voice recognition, education, or content creation, but it also raises concerns about misuse, ethical use, and plagiarism. As texts generated by artificial intelligence tools continue to improve, detection tools on the market will have to involve additional efforts to keep pace. This article uses data from the Scopus and Web of Science databases to map the current usability of detectors, of texts generated by artificial intelligence, in higher education and academia.
