We present design and optimization of a 16-channel, 100 GHz colorless arrayed waveguide gratings multiplexer/demultiplexer for new generation networks based on a hybrid configuration. The AWG was designed for a central wavelength of 1.55 µm and simulated in the wavelength range between 1.5 µm and 1.6 µm. The AWG was designed using the specially developed standalone tool "AWG-Parameters". The AWG structure was created and simulated using Apollo Photonics' commercial design tool. We present design and simulation of polymer based 8-channel, 100-GHz AWG, designed for central wavelength of 1550 nm. The input design parameters were calculated applying AWG-Parameters tool. The AWG layout was created and the simulations were performed applying commercial photonic tool PHASAR from Optiwave. The achieved transmission characteristics were evaluated by AWG-Analyzer tool. We present design and simulation of the low loss silicon nitride based AWG applying our proprietary AWGParameters tool. The AWG was designed for TM-polarized light with a central wavelength of 850 nm and simulated applying commercial photonic tool PHASAR from Optiwave.
