This article reports that the private not-for-profit agency Wildcat Service Corp. is created to address some of the special needs of local residents pertaining to training both for jobs and educational development for youth in the Bronx, New York City. Residents can be trained in computer applications at that location, but must be referred to the main office for the other types of job training offered, which also include a computer applications program, where they learn how to work with a computer and a number of programs; a bank teller training program; clerical training and consumer service personnel; office skills; construction; and maintenance. Absenteeism, discipline and academics are the issues that Wildcat Service assists youth with through its three charter schools.
