The article reports on the worldwide trend toward video game playing. In the past, video games were most popular with teenage boys, but in 2008, the average age of people who play video games in 35. Another surprising development is that women make up 40% of all video gamers. Libraries that carry video games are beginning to pay attention to these trends, and are carrying games targeted for older people and girls.
