1. INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS IN RURAL TOURISM

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to present innovative solutions in rural tourism. Particular emphasis was paid on thematic villages. It shows their development in Poland, the regional differences in the pace of the spread of this complex innovative tourism product, its importance in tourism and the activation and integration of rural communities. It shows the ratio of rural population to innovative solutions in rural tourism and their assessment of the involvement of local authorities for the development of tourism. The paper also presents barriers to the development of this form of tourism and ways to overcome these barriers. In this study selected items of literature, Internet sources and the results of empirical research conducted in 2015 using the method of diagnostic survey among the residents of the village Lublin province.

2. 'Hity Turystyki Wiejskiej' w świadomości Polaków

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify awareness among Poles of the project „Hits rural tourism” and the popularity of 33 products included in its composition. The survey involved 830 respondents. Over 70% of respondents had no awareness of the existence of such a project, and only 2.8% of them were able to identify examples of specific products included in the hits. Known and most frequently visited by the respondents were: Babskie Ranczo, Stawy Milickie or Tatarska Jurta. The percentage indicated in the case did not exceed 3%. The source from which the respondents drew information on individual hits was the internet and friends. The most important conclusion from the study is that measures to promote the project „Hits rural tourism” are ineffective.

Abstract

Celem artykułu było przybliżenie istoty popytu turystycznego i jego uwarunkowań, a także zaprezentowanie wpływu informacji na znajomość i popularność niszowych produktów turystyki wiejskiej, których przykładem są produkty o charakterze kulinarnym. Badaniami objęto 830 respondentów. Świadomość istnienia i popularność analizowanych produktów była stosunkowo niewielka. Należy jednak zauważyć, że działania promocyjno-informacyjne służące ich propagowaniu były przez badanych dostrzegane i wykorzystywane. Zdynamizowanie ich i nadanie im charakteru cyklicznego przyczyniłoby się do większego zainteresowania ze strony odwiedzających.
