Effects of futsal training on the flexibility in university athletesThe aim of this study was to determine the effects of futsal training in university players. Participated in the study 12 athletes aged between 18 and 26 years (22 ± 2.9 years) men's soccer team of the University Center UNIRG, who were enrolled in state futsal league 2010. The tests and data collection (fleximetry) were applied to the hip, knee and ankle, and performed at three different times following the calendar game: nine weeks before last week's League (T1), five weeks before the last week of the championship (T2) and, a week before the end of the championship (T3). The training sessions coincided with the flexibility training sessions specifically for futsal and consisted of 5 minutes of general warm and subsequent extensions and flexions maintained for 15 seconds at maximum amplitude. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar os efeitos do treinamento de força periodizado de 12 semanas sobre a composição corporal e aptidão física em mulheres idosas ativas. Foram selecionadas 28 voluntárias com idade de 65,5 ± 3.6 anos, com mínimo de um ano de experiência prévia em treinamento de força. As participantes foram divididas em 2 grupos: G1P (n=16, grupo periodizado) e G2NP (n=12, grupo não periodizado). O programa foi composto por duas sessões semanais. Foram mensurados o índice de massa corpórea (IMC), percentual de gordura, flexão de braços, salto vertical, flexibilidade e VO2max. O percentual de gordura diminuiu no G1P. Houve aumento na flexão de braço, salto vertical e VO2max no G1P. O G2NP não apresentou modificações. Conclui-se que a periodização do treinamento de força influenciou positivamente a composição corporal e as variáveis de aptidão física, mostrando que pode ser uma importante ferramenta na prescrição do treinamento de força.
