The article offers information on case of an elderly patient with persistent idiopathic facial pain related to dental implants successfully treated with mirtazapine. It mentions pain is limited to the teeth or a tooth socket, it is called atypical odontalgia (AO), in the past, the aetiology of AO was regarded as psychogenic, as there was insufficient knowledge of the disorder.
