Cilj rada je prikaz osnovnih postupaka prilikom selekcije lokacije vodeći računa o lokacijskim, ekološkim i nautičkim uvjetima pravilnog pozicioniranja luke nautičkog turizma zajedno s konceptualnim prostornim planiranjem izgradnje. Uz navedeno, prikazuju se etape projektiranja uz determiniranje sadržaja i opreme tipične marine, unutrašnjih i vanjskih lučkih objekata s naglaskom na projektiranje lukobrana, rasporeda dokova te karakterističnih veličina marine. Special purpose ports are, as a rule, seaports for special use or economic use of legal or natural persons for, for example, nautical tourism. Marinas are part of the water area and part of the coast specially built and arranged for the provision of berth services and accommodation of vessels, and additionally to providing services, they also serve for the provision of trade and catering services. This paper defines the technical processes of a nautical tourism port, site selection, planning and design, and construction. The aim of this paper is to present the basic procedures for site selection taking into account the location, ecological and nautical conditions of proper positioning of the nautical tourism port together with the conceptual spatial planning of construction. In addition to the above, the design stages are presented focusing on the content and equipment of a typical marina, internal and external port facilities with emphasis on the design of breakwaters, dock layouts and characteristic sizes of the marina.
