Armed conflicts during the 1990s led to the breakup of Yugoslavia and subsequent deterioration of relations between Yugoslav nations, particularly Serbs and Croats. Twenty odd years later, the situation is greatly improved and tourism is regarded as an important factor for promoting peace in both countries. In the recent years, Croatia has been making great efforts through its tourism development strategy to remind Serbian tourists of the charm and beauty of the Croatian coast. In this article, the authors present the results of a survey conducted from December 2012 to March 2014 involving 850 residents from Serbia. The aim of the research was to determine how satisfied Serbian tourists are with Croatia as a tourist destination. The results of factor analysis single out five dimensions of visitor satisfaction of Serbian respondents: 'Tourist infrastructure', 'Services', 'Coast maintenance', 'Safety' and 'Communications'. Authors point out that the general attitude towards Croatia can be explained through 'Coastal maintenance' as the most dominant factor. Destinations which visitors from Serbia choose as the most attractive and the safest are coastal places in the northwest part of Croatia (Istra), whereas inland Croatia and southern parts of the Croatian coastline are still not singled out as potential tourist destinations. Regardless of the above, this research shows that tourism may play a part in the development of peaceful relations between the two nations.

The hunting tourism product is based on various hunting game and other types of services (accommodation, food, transport, educational services, cultural and recreational activities). This study reveals four factors that influence choosing a hunting destination and satisfaction with consuming tourism services. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between hunting tourism products quality and overall tourist satisfaction and to examine the measurement model for hunting tourists' satisfaction. This scale focuses on specific elements of hunting tourism products and contributes to a better understanding of the quality of hunting tourism offers. Using the CFA, the reliability and validity of the hunting tourism satisfaction scale (HUNTSS) were confirmed on the sample in Serbia, and this scale was validated as a reliable four-factor model which could be assessed for future research improvements. Results of SEM showed the influences of four factors of hunting tourism products on overall satisfaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

DARK tourism ,HERITAGE tourism ,TOURISM ,EVENT tourism ,TOURIST attitudes ,DESCRIPTIVE statistics - Abstract
This paper aims to identify possibilities for paranormal tourism development in Serbia and to determine domestic tourists' interest in participating in paranormal tourism. Paranormal places and bizarre rituals have been defined as potential paranormal tourism localities and events. Paranormal tourism is one of the new forms of special interest tourism. It is evident that paranormal tourism is a result of the expansion of other related types of tourism, such as dark tourism, ghost tourism, spiritual tourism, cultural tourism, ethnological tourism, new age tourism and pilgrimage tourism. It is defined by tourists' interest in topics which challenge realist ontologies and representational epistemologies. The present study examines responses from 405 Serbia residents (potential tourists). After using descriptive statistics, Independent Samples T-Test and ANOVA, the study finds that potential tourists are interested in visiting certain paranormal places, and there is a possibility to develop this type of tourism in Serbia. The current work is the first study of paranormal tourism in Serbia and one of the few studies in the world. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Research on tourism routes is mainly focused on their development from the perspective of stakeholders, co-operation, and networking, but there are very few which explore them from the perspective of its users. In order to expand the tourist offer of Novi Sad (northern Serbia), one thematic route that promotes a part of the literary heritage was created. The aim of this study was to analyze the given literary route from a tourist perspective, checking out whether this route was created in a way that would satisfy its users. For this purpose, an experiment was conducted in which 50 students of tourism were divided into two simulated tours with a specialized tour guide. They were asked to use the ArcGIS application installed on their mobile phones to fill up a questionnaire about the literary route while moving through the selected checkpoints in the city center. The results provided answers to the questions like: whether the attractions of the given localities that the route links are properly selected, whether the thematic tour is good regarding the attraction order and whether it is in line with the growth of emotions of joy and positive surprise, which segments on the route should be improved in order to increase its quality, whether the route contributes to the tourist satisfaction that will create a desire for a route recommendation, and whether the route is appropriate to be offered to tourists, as well as to the locals. According to the preliminary results, the authors gave recommendations for the route improvement before its implementation on the tourist market. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

turizam ,Vojvodina ,tourism ,muzeji ,museums - Abstract
Vojvodina is an area with long and rich cultural tradition. The first museum in Vojvodina was founded in the 19th Serbian century by Matica Srpska, from which the present Museum of Vojvodina emerged. City museums are located in all major cities in Vojvodina, and each of them houses valuable artifacts. Museum visitation is not at a high level and it is necessary to invest a lot of effort and innovation that museums become more interesting than surfing the Internet. One of the good ways that museums become appealing to visitors is the event 'Museum Night'. Museums contribute to tourism value of certain destinations, and owing to tourism, increase the number of visitors, gain popularity and fulfill their cultural and educational function. Muzeji doprinose turističkoj vrednosti pojedinih mesta, a zahvaljujući turizmu povećavaju broj svojih posetilaca, stiču popularnost i ispunjavaju svoju kulturno-obrazovnu funkciju.

Gastronomy tourism represents a growing trend in the world and the subjects of the research, which was modelled after well-established culinary destinations, were attractive destinations in Vojvodina suchas museum of food and drinks, nature reserves, farms, rural households as well asregional, local and national dishes and drinks in hospitality and touristic facilities, foods and drinks that have protected origin and those which should have this kind of protection for the sake of additional benefits in the region, touristic manifestations based on regional foods and drinks and the employees in the hospitality and tourism of whom depends the successful development of this kind of tourism as well as the strategy of its development. The main objective of the thesis was to determine the status, opportunities and development perspectives of gastronomic tourism based on authentic, domestic, regional foods and drinks and to define development strategies. Special emphasis was put on the employees in the hospitality and tourism industry through an analysis of their views on the development of gastronomic tourism in the region. At the same time, through the application of appropriate methodology and conducted research, the task of this thesis was to confirm, partly confirm or deny the basic hypothesis that Vojvodina is an important producer of foods and drinks that provides an authentic, regional, gastronomic, tourist experience but it is not sufficiently established in tourism which results in poor development of gastronomic tourism, and thus point out the shortcomings in order for them to be timely removed and, by doing so, make Vojvodina a gastronomic tourism destination.
