Abstract

The article presents a case study of a male patient in Ankara, Turkey that underwent prophylactic thyroidectomy due to RET mutation-positive multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) 2B. Indications of 16 cafe-au-lait macules were discovered through physical examination at the Akara University Department of Pediatric Endocrinology. Results were normal for the pentagastrin-stimulated calcitonin test.
