This study examines the online communication practices of research institutes affiliated with the Italian National Research Council. The analysis employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate whether these institutes leverage digital technologies to transition from a unidirectional, strategic approach to communication towards a more dialogic and engaging approach with the public. Specifically, the study analyses the institutes' websites, assessing their use of communication tools, content, target audience, knowledge flows, and contextualization of communication activities, while also highlighting disciplinary-based differences. Although recent research identified Research Institutes' level as a promising ground for research communication to flourish, our study suggests that, on average, they still employ digital technologies in the same way as traditional media, disseminating information about institutional advancements rather than fostering interactive dialogue. Communication styles remain grounded in Dissemination and Strategic models, which restricts the ability of research institutes to develop a dynamic and transformative relationship with society. In modern society, with the improvement of people's living standards, the requirements for indoor living environment are also increasing. With its advantages of high speed, high stability, low latency, and large capacity, 5G communication technology achieves a more intelligent, comfortable, and safe indoor environment through intelligent and digital means, which provides the possibility for indoor design to become a new, interactive, and experiential indoor design. This article aimed to explore interactive spatial experiential interior design based on 5G communication. This article explored how to create more comfortable, convenient, and efficient indoor spaces through digital and intelligent methods, and compared them with traditional methods in terms of transmission speed, visualization effects, intelligent interactivity, and spatial fidelity. The experimental results showed that in terms of intelligent interactivity, the maximum and minimum intelligent control sensitivity scores of the five devices under 5G communication technology were 8.74 and 6.31 respectively; the maximum value of response speed score was 8.60 and the minimum value was 6.07; the maximum value of stability score was 8.79 and the minimum value was 6.08; the average scores were 7.69, 7.39, and 7.49, respectively; compared to traditional methods, intelligent interactivity was better. The interactive spatial experiential interior design based on 5G communication can better create a more comfortable, pleasant, and convenient indoor space, and enhance users' perception and interactive experience in the indoor space, thereby meeting users' needs for the living environment. ABSTRACT Increasing global migration and (im)mobilities are affecting the provision of aged care in transnational families. Such families rely on digital communication technologies like WhatsApp to manage and maintain aged care obligations across borders. This study investigates the role of WhatsApp family groups in enabling transnational families to manage transnational aged care from a distance. I draw on interviews with three transnational family constellations with members in the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe. The study finds that WhatsApp family groups create a virtual home where Zimbabwean transnational families can plan, organise and deliver care to their ageing parents. However, managing transnational aged care through WhatsApp family groups can also pose problems, especially for migrants pressured to remit. Furthermore, gendered assumptions of care and asymmetrical power relationships entrenched in families are reinforced. With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, modulation signals are more and more intensive in the same frequency. Time-frequency overlapped signal over co-channel widely exists in the shortwave, ultrashort wave and satellite channels, so the research on the time-frequency overlapped signals in non-cooperation receiver is of great significance. This paper firstly studies on blind estimation of amplitude of time-frequency overlapped signals. On the basis of deep analysis of cyclic stationary characteristic in the time-frequency overlapped signals, an amplitude estimation method of time frequency overlapped signal over co-channel based on four-order cyclic cumulants is proposed. The magnitude of the signal components is estimated by using the amplitude value of four-order cyclic cumulants of overlapped signals in certain cyclic frequency. And then an initial phase estimation method based on four-order cyclic cumulants is proposed in this paper. Experiments are conducted to verify the proposed parameter estimation method of time-frequency overlapped signals in this paper. Efforts to create a sustainable future require careful and complex thinking, interdisciplinary and cross-organizational collaboration, and effective and ethical communication. However, the structural biases of digital communication technologies foster modes of thought and expression that undermine or impede these necessities. While one possible solution to this problem is digital literacy, the two prevailing paradigms of digital literacy both reproduce the myth of technological neutrality. This myth further inhibits sustainability by wrongly suggesting that digital technologies are appropriate to all communication goals and tasks. As a corrective to these models, I propose a new paradigm of digital literacy, one rooted in media ecology. Residential large urban developments are the dominant mode of housing development in many cities around the world. They introduce new technologies to the residential setting that reshape the dwelling experience. Using digital ethnography and in-depth interviews with residents of three residential large urban developments at the center of Israel, this paper portrays how the digital dimension is embedded in and reshapes the performance and experience of the housing environment. We argue the centrality of the digital dimension to the emergence of a distinctly different dwelling experience and the transformation of residential power relations in the city. This paper presents a reflective examination of challenges to design and communication from the current digital revolution, using the prism of a 1980s television advertisement for the Yellow Pages. Originating at the same time as the height of the desktop publishing revolution, the advert illuminates a transitional period in the evolution of digital technology and media communications, marked by changing user practices and experiences. The advert's storyline follows a young man's quest to convert an old cine film (of his father) to videotape for his mother's birthday, in the process showcasing the impending shift from analogue to digital technologies and encapsulating the multifaceted implications and transitional challenges of the period. The hybrid setting of technologies, alongside the tensions, confusion and ambiguities of different stakeholders metaphorically symbolises and can be contrasted alongside, the challenges impacting the design, media and communications industry of the period and can inform reflection on contemporary challenges. Engaging with the narrative, the Yellow Pages advert is used as a creative device which functions as a cultural, historical, narrative lens with which to contrast against contemporary (and future) transitional challenges within the digital revolution. The proliferation of new, digital communications technologies and platforms over the past few decades has transformed the way humans relate to one another. In turn, there has been an explosion of scientific research using data on these interactions to better understand how social networks emerge and evolve. Curiously, this agenda has proceeded with little theoretical foundation—typically assuming digital and face-to-face ties operate the same way. Technology and computer-mediated communication (CMC) have quickly transformed the means of interaction among monolingual and bilingual individuals alike, especially in the younger generations. While e-mail once replaced traditional "snail mail", today's youth networks mainly via social media and short message services (SMS). Digital communication has thus become a fertile ground for sociolinguistic research. The present study aims to contribute to the field of "electronic" code-switching, specifically in the emerging area of text messaging. To this end, I analyze The Bilingual Youth Texts Corpus, a collection of text messages among urban emergent Spanish–English bilinguals in New York City. The main findings indicate that (1) although it is not the most common practice, participants do engage in code-switching when texting each other; (2) their language mixing obeys most of the socio-pragmatic and communicative patterns attested in oral production (such as emphasis, elaboration, lexical need and, especially, tag switches) along with other functions (textisms) which are idiosyncratic to CMC; and (3) the language choices made by these bilinguals reveal a linguistic and a cultural belonging to two worlds where they may and must use both languages to fully express themselves online just like in real life. The current research aims to evaluate the positive and negative effects of electronic word of mouth communication on the digital image of travel agencies. In this context, research data were obtained from the five most-commented travel agencies in Nevşehir registered in the TripAdvisor system. In this study, which adopted the qualitative method, the research design was a case study and phenomenology. This research employing the document review technique and criterion sampling method, identified 7.259 online comments. This study subjected 1.724 online comments from 2022 to content analysis and descriptive analysis and obtained five main themes, twenty one positive sub-themes, eight negative sub-themes, and 4.534 codes. The main themes are tour, tourist guide, transport, eating and drinking, and accommodation. The tour main theme contains the sub-themes of types of tours, places included in the tour, all-inclusive package tours, price alternatives, organization and timing, transfer services, shopping opportunities, repreference and recommendations. The tourist guide main theme covers the sub-themes of accumulation of knowledge and detailed expression, language skill, personality traits, interest and relevance to tourists. The transport main theme includes the sub-themes of vehicle comfort and cleanliness, captain and safe driving, and in-vehicle catering. The eating and drinking main theme covers the sub-themes of restaurant location, food variety, and food taste. The accommodation main theme contains the sub-themes of referral to a travel agency, accommodation services, and food and beverage services. In the main themes, the most frequently mentioned topics were the tour and tourist guide who represent the travel agency. On the other hand, the most focused themes by the tourists were the tourist guide's knowledge and detailed explanation and the re-preference and recommendations. With the rapid development of 5G networks in China, mobile communication network simulation technology has gradually become a widely studied direction in the academic and application fields. This study focuses on three-dimensional digital geographic information data for mobile communication, including a large amount of geographic information data that significantly affects the propagation of mobile communication radio waves, such as terrain height and ground use types. These data play a crucial role in coverage prediction, interference analysis, and frequency planning in various telecommunications planning software. This article starts from the perspective of mobile communication network management, and combines typical large-scale terrain data production practice projects for mobile communication to deeply study the process and system function design of combining geographic information systems with multi-source remote sensing data in mobile communication network monitoring and management. On this basis, this study designed and implemented a dynamic updated terrain database for mobile communication. This database can update geographic information data in real-time, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the data. At the same time, by optimizing the database structure and query algorithms, the speed and efficiency of data processing have been improved, providing efficient and reliable solutions for coverage prediction, optimization analysis, and planning management of large-scale mobile communication networks.In summary, dynamic updating database of three-dimensional digital geographic information has important application value in mobile communication network simulation technology. Through in-depth research and application of this database, the performance and service quality of mobile communication networks can be effectively improved, laying a solid foundation for future communication technology development. In the wireless communication technologies of today are used to transfer enormous amounts of digital data frequently between various embedded devices. For avoiding information loss and stopping cybercrimes, data security is regarded as a crucial factor. Modern cryptography encryption techniques are essential for creating secure communication. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is widely regarded as the cryptography field's strongest encryption technique. In AES has three types of keys using that is AES128, AES192, AES256 and blocksize only 128bits. In this paper using AES-256, because it's very secure for valuable information. This research paper describes how the AES algorithm uses a low area, little latency, high-speed FPGA design to secure data. The implementation of the SubBytes and InvSubBytes phases of AES encryption and decryption in this research did not rely on Look-Up Tables (LUTs). Instead, this novel approach employed combinational logical circuits to construct the SubBytes and InvSubBytes transformation. Here analysed AES Logic gates approach reduced area in terms of number of slices LUTs are 6120, slice registers are 226, flip flops are 6120, and bonded IOB are 513 when compared to the LUT. Unwanted delays in this design are reduced because of the removal of LUTs, and a Three Stage pipelining structure is added to enhance the performance of the AES algorithm. AES Logic gates three stage pipeline approach reduced delay up to 60.55ns when compared to Logic gates without pipeline approach. The risks of misusing new and developing technology are increasing on a daily basis. In these technologies, electronic communication (e-communication) anonymously delivers sensitive information. It is a challenging task in e-communication to conceal the identity of the original users and preserve misuse risk protection (i.e., security and privacy) with low computations. On the other hand, anonymous communication may be detrimental. For security and privacy maintenance, we use the concept of Misuse Risk Protection (MRP) for low computations and High-Performance Computing (HPC). To overcome these challenges, the researchers use the concept of blind signature, blind singcryption and ID-based signcryption for e-communication environments. We analyzed blind and ID-based signcryption schemes and their security hardness, which is based on different Discrete Logarithm Problems (DLP) such as Elliptic Curve DLP (ECDLP), Hyperelliptic Curve DLP (HECDLP), and bilinear pairing etc. In this paper, we also investigated that the proposed schemes attain the desired MRP features, HPC (e.g., low computation and communication overheads) than the existing schemes, which makes the newly proposed scheme more suitable for low-power environments. In the modern everyday life environment, where the Internet, social media platforms, and electronic communication have grown pervasive, cyberbullying, a new and disturbing type of bullying, has emerged. Cyberbullying is using internet communication and digital media to harass and victimize others. This review divides cyberbullying detection techniques into two major categories: text-based and multimodal approaches. Within these categories, we examine various suggested approaches, their benefits, and drawbacks. This study provides a complete summary of the current concerns and challenges in cyberbullying detection methods and possible remedies. New communication technologies such as digital social media offer subjects multiple possibilities to see themselves in other Internet users, in their words, audios, videos, shared memes. As an essay, we will go through some authors who will allow us to develop reflections in order to explore the psychological dimension of hate speech, produced and transmitted in digital social networks. In this manuscript we will defend the proposition that the subject is a central element that converts and organizes the chaos of meanings that populate reality. As long as we are not able to advance in more efficient communication strategies, structuring counter-discourses that do not take all our interlocutors as subjectively inferior, in a degraded moral status in relation to our supposed superiority, we will fail in any action of moving towards scenarios in which preserve not only freedom of expression, but the inherent dignity of the other. The rapid advancement of digital health technologies offers a unique opportunity to enhance the effectiveness and reach of new media communication. This paper focuses on how digital health concepts can be integrated into new media platforms, characterized by their openness, virtualization, integration, and precision. We examine the types of new media communication and analyze the information ecosystem and ecological factors that influence the dissemination of digital health information. Through an ecological similarity analysis, we compare natural ecosystems with the science and technology communication ecosystems, across system structures, characteristics, and phenomena. To specifically assess the impact of new media in promoting digital health concepts, we developed a system dynamics model for new media communication. This model facilitates the analysis of system foundations, the sensitivity of new media communication influences, and the patterns of change in feature quantities of information technology tools. Our findings indicate that an 80% increase in the perceived usefulness of information can enhance the influence of new media communication by 6%. Conversely, an 80% decrease in information usefulness results in a 4% reduction in its influence compared to normal conditions. The role of the information subject as the main participant in new media is emphasized; their influence on information dissemination is significantly associated with their interests, and they play a more critical role than both the volume of information usefulness and the environmental influence of information. In the rapidly evolving digital landscape, secure communication is crucial, and polarization‐sensitive photodetectors offer a promising approach to enhance security and efficiency. However, conventional devices face limitations in encoding capacity due to material‐specific anisotropic properties and geometric factors. In this study, the critical role of the flexoelectric effect in detecting polarized light in silicon and its effective utilization in secure communication systems are demonstrated. The device shows self‐biased photoresponse, which is modulated by up to 320% with the application of force by a sharp probe, a phenomenon attributed to the flexoelectric effect. The polarization sensing behavior is confirmed through comprehensive scanning photocurrent mapping, which is further supported by rigorous finite element simulations. As a potential application, the device is implemented to sense Morse code and effectively modulate it using the flexoelectric effect and light polarization angle, offering more sophisticated encryption methods for secure communication. Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) are an emerging industrial technology for monitoring physiological data. These networks employ medical wearable and implanted biomedical sensors aimed at improving quality of life by providing body-oriented services through a variety of industrial sensing gadgets. The sensors collect vital data from the body and forward this information to other nodes for further services using short-range wireless communication technology. In this paper, we provide a multi-aspect review of recent advancements made in this field pertaining to cross-domain security, privacy, and trust issues. The aim is to present an overall review of WBAN research and projects based on applications, devices, and communication architecture. We examine current issues and challenges with WBAN communications and technologies, with the aim of providing insights for a future vision of remote healthcare systems. We specifically address the potential and shortcomings of various Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) architectures and communication schemes that are proposed to maintain security, privacy, and trust within digital healthcare systems. Although current solutions and schemes aim to provide some level of security, several serious challenges remain that need to be understood and addressed. Our aim is to suggest future research directions for establishing best practices in protecting healthcare data. This includes monitoring, access control, key management, and trust management. Kinwork is the maintenance of cross-household kin and family ties through both physical and mediated means and is a type of unpaid labour historically performed by women. However, changing gender norms, new communicative practices such as networked individualism, and internet and communication technologies are changing how kinwork is done. This study explores how these changes affect the gendered nature of kinwork. Swedes from multigenerational, cross-household families residing in Sweden and the United States took part in primarily home-based interviews (n=40). This empirical study explores current practices of kinwork, focusing on three empirical cases, Christmas cards for seasonal greetings, phone calls for birthday well-wishes, and digital communication for everyday contact. Results highlight how kinwork in the sample is performed by both men and women through a wide range of communication technologies. The study shows that due to new gendered norms, women in the younger generations are less willing to do kinwork for men than older generations in the same kinship networks, indicating generational differences rather than family differences. In the study, men use new internet and communication technology to both do and sometimes take responsibility for kinwork while older communication technologies retain a feminine coding, sometimes resulting in abandonment. Contemporary digital communication technology supports a shift to individual communication rather than group-based which further supports men's increased engagement in kinwork. The study concludes that kinwork in the studied sample is performed by both men and women and that contemporary kinwork can only be understood by looking at the complex entanglements of evolving gender equality norms, trends towards more individual communication patterns, and affordances of communication technology. The article aimed to identify the role of Al-Aqsa University in achieving digital citizenship among its students in light of the growing digital communication. The study used a descriptive approach and the survey method, as the research was applied to a sample of (377) male & female students at Al-Aqsa University. The study reached results, the most important of which are: Most students use digital communication technology a lot throughout the week & for a period of more than four hours. The university plays a mediating role in achieving digital citizenship among its students. There are statistically significant differences between the students' average estimates according to the gender variable in the domains of respect & education in favor of the students. We also find differences, according to the academic level variable, in the field of education in favor of the last two levels. We find differences according to the academic average variable in favor of the lowest level compared to the highest rate level. There are no differences according to the academic specialization variable. The study recommended the continuation of the role of the university in achieving & developing digital citizenship among its students. Based on a recent body of scholarship that addresses the epistemologies of the South, our goal is to incite a shift in how we conceptualize technology adoption in the Global South. We interrogate the notion that the role of digital technologies in these regions follows a linear model of progress from traditional lifeways toward industrial modernity. Joining a recent shift toward decolonizing the study of the flow of digital technologies in the Global South, this article calls for a new approach that prioritizes specific historical, cultural, and epistemological contexts in the Global South and acknowledges the fragmentation left behind by colonization and divergent economic policies. What does the increased reliance on digital communication technologies by migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, migrant communities, governments and researchers reveal about the benefits, limits and politics of everyday mobile and immobile experiences during the pandemic? This introduction to the special issue on cultures of (im)mobile entanglements addresses this inquiry, alongside ten articles covering themes of governance and surveillance, agency and negotiated subjectivities, translocal and transnational solidarity, as well as doing research in pandemic times. Critically engaging with both mobility and immobility in the intersecting field of mobilities and migration research, the special issue centres a multidimensional and multi-scalar perspective on the deep interlinking of various modes of mobilities and stasis in and beyond spatial and temporal conditions mediated by politically and culturally structured digitalization. It endeavours to create a vantage point to critically examine the mobility–immobility continuum as informed by power relations, hierarchies and inequalities in a networked and global society. Despite recent investments in telecommunications infrastructure in regional Australia, a digital divide remains between rural and urban communities. The impacts of comparatively limited digital connectivity in rural Australia include fewer opportunities for economic participation, difficulty accessing health and educational services, and challenges responding to crisis events such as natual disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. There is an acute need for improved access to robust mobile and broadband services before, during and after crises in rural Australia. This article presents solutions for improved digital connectivity and digital capability in Far North Queensland, founded in a project that brought together researchers, business owners, councils, development organisations, technical experts and service providers to collaboratively identify and define telecommunications challenges related to a catastrophic flood in 2019. The research supports telecommunications providers, state and local governments, and community development organisations working together to collaboratively invest in technical and social solutions that enable rural communities to achieve greater crisis resilience. The term 'digital coaching' is widely used but ill-defined. The present study therefore investigates how digital coaching is defined and how it differentiates from face-toface coaching and other digital-technology-enabled (DT-enabled) formats, such as digital training, digital mentoring, or digital consulting. A qualitative inductive approach was chosen for more in-depth and open-minded content. Based on previous studies on the importance of asking coaches working in the field, 260 coaches working in the field of digital coaching were surveyed. The given answers depict the importance of differing between forms of DT-enabled coaching. Thus, digital coaching is a DT-enabled, synchronous conversation between a human coach and a human coachee, which is different to artificial intelligence (AI) coaching and coaching that is supported by asynchronous digital and learning communication technologies. Due to this definition and differentiation, future studies can explore the digital coaching process and its effectiveness -- particularly in comparison to other formats. Furthermore, this clear definition enables practitioners to maintain professional standards and manage client's expectations of digital coaching while helping clients understand what to expect from digital coaching. With the development of vehicular communication technology, the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of vehicular communication systems are becoming more demanding. The traditional four-level electromagnetic compatibility evaluation model is widely applied in many scenarios. However, this model neglects the mutual interference of electronic devices inside a vehicle, and it cannot evaluate whether reduced radio receiver sensitivity, antenna isolation, and communication distance satisfy the system requirements for vehicular communication, thus making it unsuitable for digital communication systems. With the development of remote sensing technology, high-precision digital maps are easy to acquire and thus widely used. In this work, a modified five-level evaluation model based on digital maps is proposed, where digital maps are employed to support receiver sensitivity, antenna isolation, and communication performance evaluation. Through remote sensing technology and digital maps, a terrain profile is obtained, and a more accurate vehicle communication propagation model is established. In the experiment, an actual armored vehicular communication system example is applied to verify the performance of the proposed five-level evaluation model. Compared with the free-space propagation model, the error of the actual power received by the receiver is reduced by 0.97%, and the error of the communication distance where the sensitivity of the receiver is reduced by more than the system EMC threshold is reduced by 16.78%. The calculated antenna isolation degree is basically consistent with the actual measurement data. The model is able to evaluate the electromagnetic compatibility of an armored vehicular communication system more quickly, accurately, and comprehensively compared to previous evaluation models. Purpose: With the development of integrated circuit and communication technology, digital secure communication has become a research hotspot. This paper aims to design a five-dimensional fractional-order chaotic secure communication circuit with sliding mode synchronous based on microcontroller (MCU). Design/methodology/approach: First, a five-dimensional fractional-order chaotic system for encryption is constructed. The approximate numerical solution of fractional-order chaotic system is calculated by Adomian decomposition method, and the phase diagram is obtained. Then, combined with the complexity and 0–1 test algorithm, the parameters of fractional-order chaotic system for encryption are selected. In addition, a sliding mode controller based on the new reaching law is constructed, and its stability is proved. The chaotic system can be synchronized in a short time by using sliding mode control synchronization. Findings: The electronic circuit is implemented to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the designed scheme. Originality/value: It is feasible to realize fractional-order chaotic secure communication using MCU, and further reducing the synchronization error is the focus of future work. This article is about professional skill and what happens when work is instrumented with technology. The purpose is to contribute to the understanding of the professional skill, its role and development in an increasingly digitalized working life. The article also argues that more research is needed to understand what is at stake in terms of professional skill in the age of digital technology. The research on which the article is based shows that people adapt their way of thinking and perceiving reality to the technology they use. This means that people are gradually becoming more and more like machines. There is an ongoing intellectual inner mechanization, which can be contrasted with the outer mechanization of human muscle power that the industrial revolution entailed. The intellectually mechanized man observes and describes reality in the terms of technology and loses the ability to discern nuances and make qualified judgments gradually. The concepts of Turing's man and functional autism capture these phenomena. Tacit engagement is a concept that captures the tacit knowledge that can only be expressed when people share physical space. The concept draws attention to the importance of the physical space and the body and what is at stake in terms of interpersonal knowledge in the wake of digital communication technology. It is not machines with supposedly human abilities and characteristics that we need to pay attention to when working life becomes increasingly digitalized, but people who gradually become like machines. What is required to safeguard the knowledge that is unique to man is bildung, i.e., to see the limits of the technology and the abstract theoretical models one uses. Purpose: Digital communication technologies have become ubiquitous for various firm processes related to international business (IB) and global strategy. However, IB and strategy scholars lack an encompassing and theory-based typology of these technologies that facilitates analysis and discussion of their uses and effects. Likewise, managers have a large choice of technologies at their disposal making it difficult to determine what technology to use in different IB areas. This paper aims to develop a typology of digital communication technologies based on the synchronicity and interactivity of these technologies and capture their fundamental social and temporal dimensions. This results in four ideal types: broadcasting, corresponding, aggregating and collaborating technologies. Design/methodology/approach: This is a conceptual paper incorporating theoretical perspectives to theorize about four ideal types of digital communication technologies. A subsequent empirical test of this typology has been provided in the appendix. Findings: The authors discuss how the typology might be applied in IB decisions and some of the contingencies that impact this choice. Building on that, the authors develop directions for future research to increase their understanding of the use of digital communication technologies to help improve IB functions. Overall, the authors suggest future research explores contingencies about where and when different types of digital communication technologies should be used. Finally, the authors provide implication of having a unified typology for both academics and managers. Originality/value: The authors offer a robust framework for thinking about and capturing different types of digital communication technologies that can be applied by researchers and used by managers when making decisions related to IB. 6G networks can be truly intelligent wireless systems that have the flexibility for continuous technological improvements. However, security events affecting information systems have grown increasingly complicated and sophisticated. Intruders may be able to operate due to a lack of evidence authenticity. Using network forensics methods can solve many cybercrime instances. These methods can be used to locate the intruder and to determine the intrusion's origin and how it can be avoided in the future. Existing network forensics techniques confront security threats and vulnerabilities in several networks, such as personal area networks, local area networks, wide area networks, and wireless wide area networks under telecom networks, in practice, but cannot operate in 6G and beyond telecom networks, which are critical at this moment. Thus, a comprehensive literature analysis of telecom networks is conducted to identify existing concerns and challenges in conducting digital communication forensics. Hence, a digital forensics system for 6G and beyond networks is proposed as an initial idea on the basis of the highlighted issues, thereby assessing security incidents and providing justified evidence that explains the footprints of the attackers. In the past two decades, the fast development of both communication and digital technologies has led to profound changes in how interpreting services are performed. Several studies have reported on how interpreters perceive and experience these technological changes and on interpreters' attitudes towards specific types of technologies in different interpreting sectors, such as public service interpreting or PSI. In this study, we focus on technologies which can support the interpreter' s preparation, performance and workflow of onsite interpreting assignments, in particular: machine translation tools, digital glossaries for manual term look-up, automatic terminology recognition tools based on speech recognition, note-taking apps and voice-recording tools. The performance and stability of the electric network are improved through smart grid technologies. The smart grid strongly rely on digital communication technologies creates security issues that must be addressed to distribute power efficiently and safely. For billing, load balancing, and energy management, the customer‐side smart meter regularly transmits the consumption reading to the system operator. However, dishonest customers created cyberattacks by entering fictitious readings of their electrical consumption in order to steal electricity for financial benefit. The distributed monitoring meter‐based network concept is utilized in this paper to closely monitor the losses. A two‐stage clustering‐based technique has also been suggested for the purpose of detecting theft. The approach can be detect the customer ID having abnormality in consumption pattern. To verify the effectiveness of the suggested strategy, numerical experiments on two datasets of smart meters have been conducted and four different types of attack patterns have been constructed. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is very effective for detecting various types of attack patterns. Advances in communication technologies have fueled growth in digital data transfer. Images are one of the most often conveyed types of digital information. Crytographic techniques help create cipher but also lure attackers as it indicates secret communication. To overcome, a method for encrypting a secret image and hiding it in audio data is proposed. The Ikeda map is used to create the encrypted image, which is then hidden in the audio's lifting wavelet transform. Various statistical experiments show that the proposed approach conceals the encrypted image while causing minimal changes to the audio. The proposed algorithm shows robustness towards noise addition or random audio crop attack by retrieving a visually perceivable image after the attack. Drawing on the Diffusion of Innovation Theory, this study explores how emerging digital communication technologies (EDCT) affected SMEs' resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. We employed an inductive and qualitative approach to investigate 42 SME operators in a weak institutional developing country—Nigeria. Our findings show that EDCT played a critical role in activating SMEs' resilience during the crisis through four drivers: facilitating connections and bonding with staff, clients, and suppliers; enabling collaborations; activating process diversification; and enhancing supply chain flexibility. Furthermore, we highlight the distinct ability of Nigerian SMEs to buffer themselves against misinformation arising from the use of EDCT. The development of farming and agribusiness is a relevant and ideal choice considering the geographical structure of Indonesia as an agricultural country. However, there is a trend in society, particularly among the millennial generation, that prefers to focus on the mechanical industry, financial business, and entertainment. This situation is exacerbated by adolescents∧ widespread use of digital communication technologies and the occurrence of a pandemic, raising concerns that public participation in the agriculture sector may dwindle considerably. Based on several of these manifestations, an analysis was carried out that it was important to use internet-based digital communication tools as a medium of socialization while increasing community participation in agriculture. Social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram can be used to communicate and improve production and marketing through e-commerce in order to fulfill sustainable development goals (SDGs). Social media is not simply a means of contact between extension workers and farmersit can also be used to exchange information, innovate, build marketing networks, and obtain other farming supplies. This study aims to optimize the participation of extension workers and farmers in agricultural extension and communication activities. The study also intends to demonstrate the importance of using social media as a non-formal learning tool for farmers and the general public interested in agribusiness. This research applied the constructivist research paradigm with a systematical review method to explore and redefine social media as a medium of participatory extension and communication. As a result, the WhatsApp application provides a social media platform that extension workers and farmers can use for socialization, debate, and consulting to boost agricultural product output and marketing. In this commentary, I reflect on how digital communication technology and products are both an opportunity and a threat to the inclusion of disabled people. Drawing on my personal and professional experiences with research and user‐led empowerment projects, I argue that a life course intersectional approach, together with early involvement of disabled people in technology and product development, may prevent accessibility conflicts and further participation and inclusion. While it is true that ageing dramatically affects the sustainability of welfare systems, increasing life expectancy in most Western countries is also seen as an opportunity to live longer and better: The healthiest older people are also the most dynamic in terms of work activity and social and cultural capital. In this debate, media and communication technologies are often seen as tools to enable older people to age actively, thanks to their potential for inclusion. The empowerment of older people through the use of communication technologies is strongly influenced by the social and family context in which digital media are used and by the formal and informal contexts in which their use is learned. Starting from this context, this article investigates the relationship between career paths and the use of digital media among older people. We conducted 20 in-depth interviews and ethnographic sessions with Italian internet users aged over 65. The results show how their current condition (retired or employed) and the job previously held have a fundamental impact in both the processes of domestication of technologies and internet use, but also in the structuring of the home itself and the positioning and use of technologies in the domestic space of older people. At different stages of the development of civilization, the languages that could make the transition to the new technologies of science and communication have flourished and developed. The article discusses several conceptual issues dedicated to the issue of the continuity of Armenian written culture and introduces the steps towards the digitization of Armenian, both taken and anticipated. Armenian written culture, from epigraphy to the present state, is the result of the concerted efforts of scientists who are dedicated and deeply aware of the challenges thrown by time and their supporting governors and businessmen. We must create conditions so that our language gets the opportunity to adapt to the changes dictated by the environment and new media and promote it to develop in the new digital conditions of communication because it is the direct repository of our linguistic consciousness and self-awareness. Despite Castells' argument about the transformative potential of digital communication technologies for developing the networks of individuals and bringing about social and political changes, critical scholars have continued to raise vigilance against the potentially detrimental consequences of such technologies in social domains. One such issue relates to their impact on (collective) identity-making. Taking as a case study the live streaming of 2016–17 candlelight and Taegukgi rallies in South Korea, this article addresses how a digital communication technology can go further than simply permitting a large-scale mobilization and can reconfigure the meaning of participation in social movements, contributing to the emergence of what we term 'polemical identity'. We argue that this polemical identity diverges from a more hopeful perspective found in Castells' account, developing instead through the new semantics of participation that result in, and are triggered by, various practices of Otherizing. This includes searching for, and claiming, one's own 'truth' as a means of bonding with the likeminded. In this process, we illuminate how the relationship between (collective) identity, digital communication technologies, social contexts and institutional power has become more complicated. Technology and digital communications have advanced so that digital photos, videos, or text may be easily manipulated by those not authorized to do so. In addition, the availability of specialized picture editing programs like Photoshop has simplified the process of altering photographs. At first glance, there may seem to be no problem, especially when an image editing method is necessary to delete or add a certain scene that increases the picture's beauty. But what about personal images or images with copyright? Attempts are constantly made to spoof these images using different approaches. Therefore, measures to reduce the likelihood of counterfeiting in digital and printed forms of media are required. The proposed approach aims to detect a counterfeit in images using a unique generator that conceals the data represented by the embedded watermark utilizing modern visual cryptography and hash algorithms.
