China's industrial sector generally relies on electricity as its main source of energy, and industrial production can be affected if there are problems with the electricity supply. In order to deal with the uncertain electricity supply and achieve the "dual carbon" target, the industrial sector needs to take effective measures to enhance carbon total factor productivity (CTFP). We use the biennial Luenberger productivity index (BLPI) to try to provide strategies for low-carbon industrial development in China. The results indicate that the overall CTFP of China's industrial sector showed an increasing trend from 2006 to 2019. Technology change was the main contributor to the change in CTFP, but fluctuations in efficiency change remained a challenge. Differences were observed between the light industry sector (LIS) and the heavy industry sector (HIS) in terms of changes in CTFP, with LIS showing more stable changes and HIS experiencing larger fluctuations. Most sub-sectors showed increased CTFP during the sample period. R&D investment and R&D personnel have a positive impact on CTFP, while energy structure is found to hinder CTFP. According to the research results of this study, we offer the corresponding policy implications. This study is the first to explore the balance between low-carbon goals and industrial production from the perspective of improving CTFP, providing a new viewpoint on the contributions of technological innovation to solving socio-economic issues. Blockchain technology has the characteristics of distributed storage, peer-to-peer transmission, strong confidentiality, and convenient traceability. It has become an important application for accelerating the industrial digital transformation. After fifteen years of development, blockchain has become well-known to the public and been applied in the digital transformation of many fields. This paper analyzes the origin and development of blockchain, summarizes its attributes in detail, and systematically summarizes the importance of the blockchain in empowering digital transformation. To explore the active research fields and development prospects of blockchain, the analysis data are based on information from papers published from 2015 to 2023 in the core collection of the Web of Science database, which were analyzed by CiteSpace V6.2.R4. The software depicts blockchain literature information, such as main authors, published institutions, active research fields, and evolutionary trends, using knowledge maps. The advantages of blockchain are security, privacy, and the ability to create smart contracts and consensus mechanisms, and it has been applied to digital transformation in fields such as financial transactions, supply chains, and the Internet of Things management. This paper also discusses the high-level applications of blockchain in cutting-edge fields such as smart grids, e-healthcare, the Internet of Vehicles, and machine learning. The paper draws conclusions and implications from the findings and argues that, to accelerate the digital transformation of industry, it is necessary to adhere to the technological innovation of the blockchain and expand its application scope. Regulatory agencies and industrial associations must also strengthen their supervision and cooperation to ensure the safe and effective promotion of sustainable development in the digital economy. Given that eco-innovations and the associated renewal of regional economic structures are pivotal in addressing environmental challenges, regional research is increasingly focusing on their spatio-temporal dynamics. While green technological and industrial path developments in specific regions have received considerable attention, little effort has been made to derive general patterns of environmental inventive activities across regions. Drawing on unique data capturing both green incumbent and green start-up activities in the 401 German NUTS-3 regions over the period 1997–2018, this paper sheds light on how eco-innovation activities unfold in different regional contexts. For this purpose, we introduce sequence analysis methods into the research toolkit of research on regional development. These novel methods allow us to understand to what extent regions engage in eco-innovation activities, how these activities change over time and to what extent similar or unique eco-innovation trajectories (co)evolve. Based on this empirical approach, we distinguish different types of regional eco-innovation trajectories and find a strong persistence and path dependency in green regional development. The conflict between rapid economic development, resource mismatch, and ecological damage is growing more severe. Industrial structure upgrading, as a bridge between economic activity and the ecological environment, is a crucial strategy for solving ecological and environmental problems. Based on the mediating effect and threshold models, this study selected 30 provincial panel data points in China from 2000 to 2020 to study the impact of environmental regulation and technological innovation on industrial structure upgrading. According to the findings, environmental regulation has a "U" shaped impact on industrial upgrading and passes the three threshold tests, with technological innovation playing a partially positive mediating role. There is regional heterogeneity in the impact of environmental regulation on industrial upgrading, with a "U" shaped impact on the eastern regions; there is inhibited industrial upscaling in the central and western areas. Foreign trade hinders industrial development in the eastern region but promotes rapid development and achieves structural adjustment in the central and western areas. The expansion of fixed asset investment hinders industrial restructuring. Government regulation can encourage industrial structure upgrading in all regions. We propose policy recommendations based on China's current situation. The development of technological innovation should be promoted, and environmental rules should be differentiated according to local conditions. This study has a certain guiding significance and reference value for balancing environmental governance and economic development, effectively implementing an innovation-driven development strategy, and formulating China's regional development strategy. Resource-based regions support national economic development and are essential sources of basic energy and raw materials. In the post-pandemic era, however, there are practical situations to deal with, such as a fractured industrial chain, a weaker industrial structure, and a sharp reduction in economic benefits. Based on data collected from 68 cities in China, from 2010 to 2021, with 816 observations, this paper explores the industrial development process of resource-based regions in China and the change in the toughness of the industrial structure under the impact of COVID-19. The paper studies and analyzes industrial development trends, industrial structure toughness, and spatial spillover effects. The methods used are the Markov chain model and the Industrial Structure Advancement Index. By building the spatial Dubin model, the paper analyzes the spatial spillover effect of regional industrial development. It decomposes the spillover effect using the partial differential model based on regression. The results show that, during the study period, the comprehensive development level of industries in resource-based regions in China was slowly improving and tended to stabilize after entering the post-pandemic era. The evolution of an advanced industrial structure is significantly heterogeneous among regions, and each region has different toughness. The impact of COVID-19 has reduced the toughness of China's resource-based regions' industrial structure. The spatial spillover effect of regional industrial development is significant. Labor force, technology input, and industrial-structure optimization have different impacts on the industrial development of neighboring regions. In the post-pandemic era, China has used new management methods for more innovation. In order to achieve low-carbon, environmental protection, and sustainable development of resources, realize the rapid recovery of the toughness of industrial structure in China's resource-based cities, and reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, China proposes to expand the supply of resources, improve the allocation of resources, optimize the direction, promote the rational flow and efficient aggregation of various factors, and enhance the impetus for innovation and development. The study deployed two multivariate linear models in estimating the nexus of economic growth, technological development and in-country utilization of natural gas, using annual time series data on five variables - real gross domestic product per capita (RGDPC), natural gas consumption (NGC), technological development (TECH), trade openness (TOP), and industrialization (IND) - from 1986 to 2019. Using the method of error correction modeling (ECM), it is observed that technological development, gas consumption, trade openness, and industrialization have growth-stimulating effects on economic activities in Nigeria. The study further revealed that technological development, trade openness, and level of industrialization positively influenced natural gas consumption in Nigeria during the period. Based on our findings, we sustain the argument that (i) gas utilization and technological development are strong predictors of economic growth, and (ii) technological development greatly determines the level of natural gas consumption in the economy. We therefore recommend design and implementation of policies that promote research and development so as to ramp up technological innovation and development initiatives towards achievement of planned economic growth. In addition, improvements in technological development and convergence of global economies due to liberalization policies demands commensurate infrastructural expansion of natural gas production to reduce or eliminate possible mismatch between production and consumption of natural gas profiles. Multi-scale urban innovation networks are important channels for intra- and inter-city knowledge spillovers and play an important role in urban industrial innovation and growth. However, there is a lack of direct evidence on the impact of multi-scale urban innovation networks on industrial development. Drawing upon the "buzz-and-pipeline" model, this paper analyzes the impact of multi-scale urban innovation networks on industrial development by taking the automobile manufacturing industry in China's five urban agglomerations as an example. Firstly, based on the Form of Correlation between International Patent Classification and Industrial Classification for National Economic Activities (2018) and co-patents, we construct urban innovation networks on three different geographical scales, including intra-city innovation networks, inter-city innovation networks within urban agglomerations, and innovation networks between cities within and beyond urban agglomerations. Then, we employ the ordinary least squares model with fixed effects at the urban agglomeration level to explore the impact of urban multi-scale knowledge linkages on the development of the automobile manufacturing industry and the results showed that urban innovation networks at three different geographical scales have different impacts on industrial development. Specifically, intra-city innovation networks have a facilitating effect on industrial development, while both inter-city innovation networks within urban agglomerations and innovation networks between cities within and beyond urban agglomerations have an inverted U-shaped impact on industrial development. The interactions between urban innovation networks on three different geographical scales have a negative effect on industrial development. Simultaneously, the agglomeration level of urban industry plays a positive moderating role in the impacts of multi-scale urban innovation networks on industrial development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The work aims to consider the evolution of leadership styles in the context of industrial development. The research aims to study changes in leadership approaches at different stages of industry development, such as industry 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0, identify the characteristics of each stage, and discover how these changes have affected leadership approaches. Particular attention is paid to identifying factors that determine the evolution of leadership styles, mainly changes in the technological, economic, and socio-cultural environment, to understand how these factors influence the development of leadership approaches and how this is reflected in organizational strategies. Design/methodology/approach: The article analyzes scientific literature and studies historical data and events devoted to the evolution of leadership styles in industrial development. The authors conducted a cross-sectional approach to a comparative analysis of leadership styles at different stages of industrial development in order to highlight the main differences and common elements. Scientists also used a systematic approach in the article to understand the interaction of factors of industrial development and the choice of leadership styles. The theoretical volume examines various approaches to leadership, and the practical aspect of the work is based on factual data and conclusions for the further use of the obtained results by modern leaders and managers. Findings: The study found that technological change defines a new context for leaders, which requires adapting and developing new management skills such as flexibility, adaptability, and collaboration. The general conclusion of the article is that the evolution of leadership styles is closely related to industrial development and requires constant improvement and adaptation of managers to changes in the technological, economic, and socio-cultural environment. Practical implications: Leadership is associated with technological and economic progress. The old approaches to leadership should be more relevant in today's world. Leaders must actively adapt their skills to new requirements, learn flexibility, and improve strategic thinking. Such changes in leadership practices have great potential to improve productivity and achieve success in the era of Industry 4.0. Social implications: These articles can be used as a basis for developing modern strategies focused on the challenges of Industry 4.0 and will contribute to further developing leadership potential in conditions of constant change. Originality/value: The study of the evolution of leadership in the context of industrial development consists of analyzing and comparing different leadership styles at different stages of industry. The study allows us to consider changes in leadership approaches and reveal their impact on organizational effectiveness and corporate culture. With the development of the digital economy, industrial structure upgrading plays an important role in realizing high-quality development. Exploiting the quasi-natural experimental setting provided by the Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Zone (BDCPZ) policy in China in 2016, this study evaluates the impacts of the BDCPZ policies on regional industrial structure upgrading using a combination of propensity score matching and difference-in-differences (PSM-DID) with panel data of 30 regions for the period 2008–2021. The results are as follows: (1) BDCPZ policies significantly promote regional industrial structure upgrading. This finding holds after conducting the placebo test and replacing explained variables. (2) BDCPZ policies enhance upgrading through technological innovation and financial deepening. (3) Heterogeneity analysis shows that the promotional effect of BDCPZ policies on industrial structure upgrading is more obvious in economically developed regions, megacities, and east-central regions; overall, regions with high industrialization benefit more. These findings have important implications: First, they provide new empirical evidence from the perspective of policy evaluation on how the digital economy affects industrial structure upgrading. Second, this study sheds light on the mechanism underlying this relationship, helping us understand how the digital economy can further affect the development of the industrial structure. Third, the policy effect is heterogenous, providing a scientific basis for the government to formulate differentiated implementation policies for different regions. As Minister of Industries in Cuba between 1961 and 1965, Che Guevara addressed the challenge of increasing production and labour productivity in conditions of underdevelopment and in transition to socialism, without relying on capitalist mechanisms that undermine the formation of new consciousness and social relations integral to socialism. Under capitalism, Guevara noted, competition for private profit drives the application of science and technology to industrial development, revolutionising the productive forces. Socialist governments must find alternative methods. To these ends, Guevara set up nine research and development institutes, focussing on sugar cane derivatives, minerals and metals, the chemical industries, agricultural by-products, the mechanical industry, technological innovations, and automation. He established an institutional framework to begin experimentation at different ends of the production chain simultaneously. The short-term results were inevitably limited, but more significant than the productive achievements attained was the methodology introduced, the application of science and technology to production. Can the adoption of information technology (IT) by firms drive green innovation and stimulate sustainable development? This paper employs a quasi-natural experiment, namely the "Pilot Zone for Integration of Informatization and Industrialization" in China, to evaluate the effect of IT on green innovation. Our findings reveal that IT significantly fosters the proliferation of green invention patents but has inconsequential impact on green utility model patents. Notably, the positive effects of IT on green innovation are further amplified when firms receive scrutiny from analysts. Moreover, IT can facilitate green innovation in the source-governance category of conventional energy and not only in end-of-pipe regulatory compliance. Technological capability refers to knowledge-intensive skills and resources to change existing technologies or to create new ones. The accumulation of such capability by companies and industries has been part of governments' and businesses' agendas as it is vital for countries' industrial development and increase of per capita income. However, the various public innovation policies implemented in Brazil over the last few decades and the different studies and debates on their limited outcomes failed to address the accumulation of technological capabilities by companies and industries as one of the primary sources for the increase in the rate of innovation and the sustained growth of the economy. This article presents an analytical framework to contribute to the effectiveness of a national innovation strategy centred on the accumulation of technological capability at the level of companies and industries. The purpose of the paper is to report on the development status of the Qingyang cluster of the Gansu Hub of the "Channel Computing Resources from the East to the West", to find out the existing problems, to look forward to the development prospects, and to accelerate the pace of the construction of the Qingyang cluster of the Gansu Hub. This paper reconsiders the roles of actors in regional innovation systems in the context of transformative industrial change. Empirically, it draws on evidence from the Värmland region of Sweden, where regional innovation system actors, with partial funding from the Swedish Innovation Agency, are striving to build a bioeconomy upon the traditional forest-related industries. The main findings include that transformative industrial change adds a variety of responsibilities to regional actors, including the provision of change legitimacy, influencing the industry's innovation directionality and achieving social acceptance for change. En América Latina existen "islas de modernidad" asociadas a un nuevo paradigma biológico y digital en la explotación de recursos naturales, la producción de servicios y la industria manufacturera, que coexisten con vastos segmentos de la población sumidos en la precariedad, la pobreza, el estancamiento y la exclusión social. Esta dualidad estructural refleja una creciente brecha entre un segmento moderno de la sociedad que imita patrones de comportamiento de los países desarrollados, y otro que ha quedado atrás y en el que predominan la informalidad laboral, las carencias materiales básicas y una creciente inseguridad ciudadana. La falta de una teoría del desarrollo adecuada, que examine la fragilidad institucional y regulatoria, la captura de los recursos del Estado por grandes grupos corporativos y la falta de políticas a largo plazo reflejan esta brecha interna. A su vez, se profundiza la brecha externa con los países del sudeste asiático. GHG emissions growth of Vietnam is highest all over the globe and the carbon intensity of this economy is considered second highest in Asian economies. As the energy intensity level is rising constantly, thereby, the predictions indicate that Vietnam will become highest GHG emission in the region. In order to address the issue, the current article aims to investigate the impact of green finance, technology advancement, energy efficiency, industrialization, and population growth on sustainable development in Vietnamese context. The time chosen for the study is 1991 to 2020. The study has used the Dynamic Auto-regressive Distributed Lags (DARDL) and the Bayesian Auto-regressive Distributed Lags (BARDL) model for data analysis. Findings exposed that green finance, technology advancement, REO, REC, industrialization, and population growth all are positively connected with sustainable development. At present, realizing the upgrading and sustainable development of industrial clusters has become an urgent problem. Based on this, based on data mining and artificial intelligence technology, this paper combines the actual needs of industrial clusters and technological innovation to construct an analysis model of the influencing factors of technological innovation in industrial clusters. Based on the complex network foundation, this paper regards the activity of the innovation network as the result of the joint influence of the presence index, closeness index, betweenness index, agglomeration index and path length index. Moreover, this paper combines the actual situation of the cluster to construct an evaluation system for the activity of the innovation network. In addition, this paper uses the PROMETHEE method based on the cloud model to evaluate the activity of the innovative network to be studied in this paper. Finally, this paper designs experiments to verify the performance of the algorithm model constructed in this paper. In order to explore the evolution process of regional vegetable circulation efficiency and its influencing factors, this paper uses Super-SBM model considering unexpected output and GML index to calculate the vegetable circulation efficiency of 13 provinces (cities) in Central China and its surrounding areas from 2015 to 2019, then conducts spatial autocorrelation analysis on the vegetable circulation efficiency in this region through Moran index. Finally, SPDM model is constructed to explore the spatial effect of the influencing factors on the vegetable circulation efficiency in this region. The results show that (1) the vegetable circulation efficiency of most provinces (cities) in this region is low. (2) The Global Moran's I of the vegetable circulation efficiency in this region is positive, that is, the vegetable circulation efficiency in this region shows a certain degree of spatial agglomeration effect. (3) The level of scientific and technological innovation and the degree of government support have significant positive direct and indirect effects on the efficiency of vegetable circulation in the region, the quality of workers has significant positive indirect effects, and the level of economic development and industrial structure have significant negative indirect effects. The present study highlights the importance of renewable energy investment in achieving the goal of sustainability. Several studies have been conducted to explore the factors affecting environmental quality. However, the literature on the importance of renewable energy investment in affecting environmental quality is scant. Thus, this study investigates the impact of renewable energy investment on carbon emissions for 24 China provinces from 2005 to 2020, along with green finance, income per capita, technical innovations, and industrial structure. The co-integration test results show a stable long-run association between renewable energy investment and sustainable development with other factors. However, the results of AMG and CCE-MG estimators show the significant contribution of renewable energy investment, technical innovations, and green finance to environmental sustainability. Besides, economic development and industrial infrastructure show an adverse effect on environmental sustainability and cause to increase in carbon emissions. In addition, the moderate role of renewable energy investment in technical innovation and industrial infrastructure significantly contributes to a sustainable environment. A true history of industrial technology and innovation must factor in the history of labor and skill required to make a specific product. Mainstream perspectives on industrialization in Britain's cotton industry view technological change in spinning as motivated by productivity gains, facilitated by the fortuitous availability of high-quality, long-staple cotton. However, material evidence shows British cotton textiles advanced to match Indian cloth quality, suggesting that spinning machinery also evolved apace to achieve product quality. This article demonstrates that alongside the cotton staple, the spinner's skill and dexterity determined final cloth quality. The three main spinning machines were technically path dependent, with mechanized spinning of fine cotton based on the original Indian jersey wheel technology. Technological innovations mainly focused on improving product quality, with mechanization a means to bridge the British skill gap in cotton spinning. In order to evaluate the science and technology innovation policies of five national high-tech zones in Hebei Province, the application scope of PMC index model was extended from a single policy to a policy group. The joint analysis of calculation results and policy contents was applied in the research. It is found that there are significant regional and thematic imbalances in the formulation of science and technology innovation policies for these five national high-tech zones in Hebei Province. Specifically, Shijiazhuang Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone has significantly higher level of science and technology innovation policy strength, especially for important innovation resources such as platforms, talents, and high-tech enterprises. In terms of policy themes, the five national high-tech zones have relatively weak policies on innovation output and open innovation. In Colombia there are few chemical engineering programs and those have been historically linked to the industrial development of the country, supporting the training needs for industrial development in several regions of economic importance. The southwestern Colombian region contributes with the largest industrial production in the country, and the chemical engineering program of Universidad del Valle has been the only one in the region for 78 years. The last curriculum reform took place 20 years ago and the accelerated technological change urged the adoption of deep changes in the curriculum structure. A student-centered constructivist approach was applied in the faculty-wide transformation in the mesocurriculum and microcurriculum levels, defining the so-called Sensitivities, Capacities and Competencies (SCCs) as the set of attitudes, skills and knowledge necessary for an integral performance of engineers. Those were considered from two standpoints: general and disciplinary formation. In the disciplinary level, the historic traditional pillars of chemical engineering were maintained, but taking advantage on the areas of academic research, development and innovation (R+D+I) expertise demanded by the industry around the university in addition to transversal priority areas for modern chemical engineering professionals. The logistics industry and the manufacturing industry are mutually productive factors and service objects, which determines that the two must develop cooperatively. In the increasingly fierce market competition, open collaborative innovation is more conducive to improving the level of linkage between the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry, and promoting industrial development. Based on the patent data of 284 prefecture-level cities in China from 2006 to 2020, this paper uses Gis spatial analysis, spatial Dubin model and other methods to analyze the collaborative innovation between the logistics industry and manufacturing industry. The results lead to several conclusions. (i) The overall collaborative innovation level is not high, and in terms of the evolution cycle, collaborative innovation has experienced three stages: embryo, rapid development and stable development. (ii) The spatial agglomeration characteristics of the collaborative innovation between the two industries are more and more obvious, and the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration play an important role in the collaborative innovation between the two industries. (iii) The hot spots of collaborative innovation between the two industries are concentrated in the eastern and northern coastal areas, while the cold spots are concentrated in the south of the northwest and southwest areas in the late stage of the study. (iiii) The positive influencing factors of local collaborative innovation between the two industries include economic development, scientific and technological level, government behavior, and employment, while the negative influencing factors include information technology level, and logistics infrastructure. Economic development has a negative spatial spillover effect on surrounding areas, while the spatial spillover effect of scientific and technological level is significantly positive. This article aims to explore the current situation and influencing factors of collaborative innovation between the two industries, with a view to proposing countermeasures and suggestions for improving the level of collaborative innovation between the two industries, and also providing new ideas for research on cross industry collaborative innovation. Innovation platforms can be useful for promoting the diversification of regional industrial paths. Until recently, the literature had depicted such platforms primarily as a tool for enabling local knowledge recombination – and not for anchoring non-local knowledge. In many regions, however, 'smart specialisation strategies' for modernising and transforming industrial structures are difficult to implement without transplantation of non-local knowledge. This paper explores innovation platforms as a tool for anchoring non-local knowledge. We elaborate on recent Chinese experiences by studying diversification-oriented regional innovation policy in Guangdong province. We employ an embedded single-case study design, involving a regionally typical diversification strategy, which we substantiate by tracing platform development with two non-local actors, a university and a technology firm. The paper reveals that non-local actors can play an important role in unlocking regional industrial development potential, especially if platforms enable these actors to relate to local industry by performing desired intermediary functions. Green development efficiency has become an important research topic as many countries are striving to transform development model. This study conducts static measurement and dynamic decomposition analysis of the green development efficiency of the Yangtze River Delta in China using a DEA-Malmquist model. The result shows that the green development efficiency of the Yangtze River Delta is generally on an upward trend, but varies considerably within the region. Moreover, this study analyses the influencing factors and spatial effects of green development efficiency using the spatial Durbin model, which shows that there are obvious spatial correlations and spatial dependencies in the green development efficiency of the Yangtze River Delta city cluster, and the influencing factors such as financial development and industrial structure have a positive effect on the city's green development efficiency and have a positive spillover effect on the surrounding areas. However, technological innovation has a negative spillover effect on green development efficiency. Finally, this study proposes to improve the regional coordination mechanism of green technological innovation, guide the development of financial agglomeration and leverage the spatial spillover effect. Innovation efficiency is an important manifestation of regional innovation capacity, and how to improve regional innovation efficiency is crucial to regional development. This study empirically explores the impact of industrial intelligence on regional innovation efficiency and the possible influence of approaches and mechanisms. The empirical results revealed the following. First, the development level of industrial intelligence can positively affect regional innovation efficiency, while beyond a certain level, its role in promoting regional innovation efficiency will weaken, exhibiting an inverted U-shaped effect. Second, compared with the application research by enterprises, industrial intelligence plays a stronger role in promoting the innovation efficiency of basic research by scientific research institutes. Third, human capital situation, financial development level, and industrial structure upgrading are three significant channels for industrial intelligence to promote regional innovation efficiency. Therefore, accelerating the development of industrial intelligence, formulating individualized policies for different innovative entities, and rationally allocating resources related to the development of industrial intelligence are needed to be taken to improve regional innovation. Lanarkshire led in the manufacture of agricultural implements and machines from the late eighteenth century onwards. Helped by natural resources, the early and rapid rise of industrialization and infrastructure, businesses created innovative products that were in demand. This paper investigates the makers of agricultural implements and machines in Lanarkshire, especially outside Glasgow, as innovators and leaders in the trade. It looks at their character, why they were innovative and the implements and machines they were renowned for. As a key strategy to promote system reform, improve the investment environment, and encourage industrial agglomeration, the national high-tech industrial development zone (NHTDZ) policy in China can not only reduce energy consumption through the scale effect but also improve energy efficiency by modernizing industrial structure and fostering technological innovation, thereby alleviating environmental pollution. Existing studies, however, focus solely on the effects of NHTDZ policy on social and economic development, ignoring their impact on the ecological environment, especially carbon (CO2) emissions that contribute to global warming. Thus, this article analyzes a panel data of 285 prefecture-level cities and above in China from 2003 to 2019 to assess the influence of NHTDZ policy on CO2 emissions, treating the NHTDZ construction since 1988 as a quasi-natural experiment. The results indicate that the NHTDZ policy would mitigate urban carbon emissions, particularly in middle, southeastern, medium-sized, resource-based (RB), non-key environmental protection (non-KEP), and non-two control zone (non-TCZ) cities. In addition, the mediation mechanism test demonstrates that the environmental benefits of the NHTDZ policy in China are attributable to the scale effect, the structural upgrading effect, and the technology innovation effect. Context/Objective: This article examines the role that an emerging sector of private commercial aviation firms played in the agricultural industry by providing aerial fumigation and cargo services in Chile from the post-WWII to 1973. Methodology: From a perspective centered on the formation and operation of individual firms, and using documentation from the Junta de Aeronáutica Civil (jac), newspapers, and technical bulletins, we analyze the expansion and then the contraction of this sector of private aviation firms and the results and problems of their operation in an initially lucrative and scarcely regulated market. Originality: Unlike most of the literature on the history of commercial aviation in Latin America, which focuses on the study of passenger airlines, this article examines commercial aviation's role in economic development, specifically in the agricultural sector and its contribution to agricultural modernization. Conclusions: Despite initial legal and operational problems, like scarcity of capital and equipment, the companies proliferated rapidly, developed a fumigation capacity well over the demand level, and diversified their cargo activity both in the national territory and towards other countries. Thus, in a period in which agriculture's lower growth and subordination to the industrialization-promoting state policy made it difficult to invest in technological innovations, private aviation firms made a significant contribution to agricultural modernization in Chile. They were the agents that carried out the rapid introduction and diffusion of one of the most important technological innovations worldwide: large-scale aerial fumigation of the principal commercial crops. Rumah Unggul Sistem Panel Instan (RUSPIN) technology is the development of Rumah Instan Sederhana Sehat (RISHA) with several improvements. Besides resistance to earthquakes, this technology has advantages such as ease and speed of installation compared to conventional houses. As a new technological innovation that has been proven, to develop RUSPIN technology to be an industrialization model in the future, therefore a study of technology business plan is required. Research objectives eager to see the market and industrialization opportunities of RUSPIN technology. The study using Business Model Canvas (BMC) concept which strived to combine 9 business aspects such as customer segments, value proposition, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partners, and cost structure into one complete concept map. As the result of this study, the market opportunity for RUSPIN technology is very large with the market segmentation is families that do not own a home and the target market for Low-Income Families (MBR). RUSPIN technology also has an opportunity to be industrialized by looking at the demand side (market opportunities), while from the supply side, efforts are needed to increase the number of certified RUSPIN applicators and developers. Low-carbon development is a future vision of corporate entities, and financialization is a development feature of those enti‑ ties in reality. Investigating the impact of corporate financialization on low-carbon technological innovation is of strategic significance for high-quality economic development and national industrial security. Taking the manufacturing enterprises listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares in China from 2011 to 2021 as samples, this paper empirically analyzed the impact of corporate financialization on low-carbon technological innovation, discussed the moderating role of the ‘motivational context’ of financialization in this impact, and further analyzed the non-financial impact mechanism of the ‘motivational context’ on low-carbon technological innovation. The re‑ search found that: ① The deepening of corporate financialization would inhibit the improvement of the enterprises’ low-carbon technological innovation level, and this inhibition effect had hysteresis and viscosity. After a series of robustness and endogenous tests, this conclusion was still valid. ② The inhibition effect of corporate financialization on the input and output of low-carbon technological innovation in state-owned enterprises was weaker than that of non-state-owned enterprises, and the inhibition effect on large-scale enterprises was weaker than that of small-scale enterprises. In non-state-owned enterprises and small-scale enterprises, the lag and viscosity effects of financialization on low-carbon technological innovation were more prominent. ③ Based on the perspective of ‘motivational con‑ text,’ it was found that the improvement of profitability optimism and industry competitiveness could effectively mitigate the inhibition effect of corporate financialization on low-carbon technological innovation, while the enhancement of internal financing constraints would aggravate the inhibition effect of financialization on low-carbon technological innovation. ④ The impact of internal and external ‘motivational context’ on low-carbon technological innovation had a non-financial impact channel mediated by managers’ environmental attention transfer. The improvement in profitability could be transferred to managers’ environmental attention, and the financing constraints and industrial competition intensity would be transferred out of managers’ environmental attention. This conclusion was still valid after the endogenous test of intermediary analysis. Therefore, based on the perspective of ‘motivational context,’ the research puts forward measures and policy suggestions to enhance the low-carbon technological innovation ability of enterprises from the aspects of improving the financial supervision of corporate entities, establishing their financial risk prevention system, alleviating their financing pressure, maintaining the benign competition order of the industries, and cultivating the environmental awareness of corporate managers. The Agency for Defense Development (ADD) has functioned as South Korea's central institute for weapons research and development (R&D) since 1970, when it was established by the Park Chung Hee regime (1961–79). As argued in this article, this quasi-private, quasi-public military institute also fostered major advancements of science and technology during the transformative decade of South Korea's "militarized industrialization," the 1970s, with a lasting impact on the private sector and business relations with the state. Drawing from in-person interviews with living scientists who worked on military projects of the Park state, as well as official records of the ADD and recently declassified government documents, the article tells the story of the ADD's founding and details how, as a key player in Park's pursuit of security independence, the agency spurred technological innovation and industrialization. Through weapons development, the ADD localized R&D, facilitated technological collaboration, established quality control and standardization methods within corporations, and enhanced the scientific workforce with advanced training, altogether promoting the scientization of the Korean private sector. By merging state and business efforts, and by combining military with civilian strengths, the ADD led a process of national scientization and technological governance that still operates at the heart of Korean economic growth today. The arrival of the dual-carbon era indicates that it is imperative to reduce industrial carbon emissions with high carbon emissions. The implementation of carbon emission reduction will inevitably have an impact on industrial development. Three different carbon emission scenarios were established. Based on the average annual carbon emission growth rate of the past decade, it is set as a medium carbon scenario. According to the economic development stage and actual social development situation of each region, the corresponding annual average carbon emission growth rate is increased and decreased to set up high carbon and low carbon scenarios. The adjacent accumulation gray multivariate model for industries is established based on different scenarios. The results indicate that the carbon emission scenarios most suitable for industrial development in various regions are different. Heavy industrial provinces and cities such as Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have the highest industrial output value under high carbon scenarios; Provinces and cities with high levels of industrialization, such as Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong and Chongqing have the highest industrial output value under low-carbon scenarios. The industrial output value of Hebei is expected to grow the fastest under the high carbon scenario, reaching 2.15 trillion yuan by 2030. The industrial output value of Guangdong achieves the greatest improvement under low-carbon scenario. It is expected that the industrial output value of which will reach 6.86 trillion yuan by 2030, ranking first in the country. Therefore, the setting of carbon emission scenarios needs to be tailored to local conditions, increase technological innovation efforts, and further promote industrial development. Industrial policy based on Smart Specialisation emphasizes the exploitation of industrial linkages based on technological rather than intermediate product linkages. This paper develops microlevel analysis using the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) patent citation database on the intensity of technical relatedness depending on the cited and citing technological fields. The results are used to estimate the patterns of interregional knowledge spillovers in the European Union and explain spatial differences in patent growth. Industrial structure upgrading has a spatial spillover effect, which is an important way to accelerate urban green innovation and realize urban sustainable development. Therefore, it is very important to study the impact of industrial structure upgrading on urban green innovation. Using panel data of 260 prefecture-level and above cities in China from 2005 to 2019, this paper studies the spatial effect of industrial structure supererogation on green innovation by using the spatial Durbin model (SDM). The results show that both industrial structure upgrading and green innovation show a trend of regional agglomeration and fluctuation. The direct effect of an industrial structure supererogation on green innovation is significantly positive, while the indirect effect and total effect are significantly negative. The direct effect, indirect effect, and total effect of industrial structure rationalization on green innovation are significantly positive. In the globalized world, the complicated relationship between macroeconomic variables has resulted in several challenges that have a diversified influence on renewable energy intensity and sustainable development. Accordingly, maintaining a desirable level of renewable energy intensity necessitates comprehensive research into the numerous impacts of its elements and the implementation of proactive strategies to address them. However, studies focusing on assessing the influence of industrialization and trade openness on China's renewable energy intensity are limited. To address this research gap, this study seeks to develop a path model to examine this relationship by accommodating the mediating role of technical innovations and economic development. Empirical results reveal that industrialization positively influences renewable energy intensity, while trade openness negatively affects it. On the flip side, the mediation results demonstrate that technical innovation negatively mediates the linkage between industrialization and renewable energy intensity. In a similar vein, economic development negatively mediates the association between trade openness and renewable energy intensity. Focusing on the implementation of the Yellow River strategy in the lower reaches of the Yellow River to achieve high-quality development of economy and ecological environment, we analyzed the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of the industrial ecological level in the lower reaches of the Yellow River from 2007 to 2020 and the main obstacle factors by using coupled coordination analysis and obstacle model. The results show that the level of industrial ecology in the lower reaches of the Yellow River has been increasing year by year during the study period, showing a trend of "decreasing first, then increasing", and a slow increase in general, but the quality coordination still needs to be continued; there are significant differences in the level of industrial ecology in the lower reaches of the Yellow River cities, and the spatial pattern distribution shows There are significant differences in the level of industrial ecology in the lower Yellow River cities, and the distribution of spatial pattern shows the characteristics of "high in the middle and low on both sides" and "gradually decreasing from east to west"; the main obstacle factors affecting the development of industrial ecology come from the industrial system, such as the number of effective patents granted, the proportion of foreign investment in GDP, and the regional GDP growth rate have The main obstacles to the development of industrial ecology come from the industrial system. Infrastructure construction related to the new generation of information technology and 5G technology is an important measure taken by the Chinese government to promote regional economic development. Large-scale infrastructure investment is being carried out simultaneously in China's core and peripheral regions. The COVID-19 pandemic has dealt a severe blow to China's tourism industry, and the application of new technologies seems to blur the spatial boundaries of the tourism industry. Therefore, it is debatable whether the zealous development of large investment projects can really improve the competitiveness of the regional tourism industry. This paper discusses this topical issue by empirically analyzing data from 31 Chinese provinces and cities from 2008–2019 and draws the following conclusions (1) The continuous expansion of new infrastructure investment in China indeed has a positive effect on improving China's overall tourism competitiveness. However, the inverted U-shaped relationship between the two shows that China should not blindly expand the scale of infrastructure construction and make appropriate investment according to the regional industrial development level. (2) Although convergent infrastructure plays an important role in regional industrial competitiveness, the marginal effect has begun to weaken, so the problem of scale inefficiency needs to be addressed. In contrast, the input of innovation infrastructure is insufficient to enhance industrial competitiveness and can be moderately increased to achieve better results. (3) China's core economic areas have a good driving effect on new infrastructure investment, but the original technological innovation and transformation-type facilities are still the key to limiting the improvement of industrial competitiveness.
